Dear Customer Name:

With so many homeowners struggling to make their mortgage payments, we realize the need for good communication
and information about your mortgage is more important than ever. We know that this is a difficult and overwhelming
time for many homeowners. You do not have to get through this alone—free help is available.

The U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), as part of the
Obama Administration’s Making Home Affordable Program, are partnering with the HOPE NOW Alliance and
NeighborWorks America® to bring a free homeowner event to the Tucson area. This is an opportunity for you to meet
one-on-one with your mortgage servicer to discuss options that may be available to you, as well as meet with a HUD-
approved housing counselor to discuss your situation.

This FREE event will take place:

Tuesday, March 9
1:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites, Tucson Airport North
4550 South Palo Verde Rd
Tucson AZ 85714

Parking is free

Here is what you need to do:

• Gather all of the financial documents that show your household income and expenses to bring to the event, such as:

− Your last two paychecks (and last two paychecks for anyone else in the household)
− Information about your mortgage, such as your monthly mortgage statement, and any home equity lines of
credit
− Account balances and minimum monthly payments due on all of your credit cards and other debts, such as
student loans and car loans
− Bank account statements, including any savings you may have or other assets

If you have access to the internet, you may find it easier to download the Request for Modification and Affidavit
Form from the MakingHomeAffordable.gov website by clicking on “Request a Modification”. Filling out this form
and bringing it to the event will make it easier for your servicer to understand your financial situation.

Keep in mind that the more information you bring, the easier it will be to assist you on site.

Free Clinics

We will be offering free informational sessions to prepare homeowners in the Tucson area for this free event and to
share information about the Making Home Affordable Program and other options for homeowners. These events,
sponsored by Don’t Borrow Trouble Pima County and the Pima County Foreclosure Prevention
Coalition, will help you prepare a financial package as well as connecting you with local resources who can help
explain the process and prepare you for your interaction with your mortgage company. While participation is not
mandatory, these sessions will help you be more informed and prepared to seek assistance with your mortgage loan.
Be sure and bring the documents listed above to the clinic so that you can get the most out of the
session. The clinics will be held as indicated below:
