Flammability Test Cabinet
This apparatus measures the vertical
resistance of textiles that are exposed to a
controlled flame for a specified period of
time. For this test, the sample is exposed to
a flame for a given time, the flame is removed and afterflame time and afterglow
time are measured and reported. Measurements of char length may also be obtained.
The test cabinet is made of stainless steel,
features a front hinged door with tempered
glass, the back-wall is painted black to
facilitate observation of test progress.
A custom fabricated gas burner with flame
adjustment valve, pilot burner and flame
height gauge is also included.
The burner assembly is mounted on a
linear slide which permits adjusting the
burner under the test sample from outside
the cabinet.
The Flammability Test Cabinet is available
with manual or automatic gas flow and
burner ignition control.
The manual version features needle valve
