allowed 4 runs in the top of the 4th inning as Jackson fell to Biloxi 1-5 on game 1 of a doubleheader on Thursday night. LF Zach Shank (2x3,
R) recorded the teams only multi-hit game, while 1B Aderlin Rodriguez (1x3, RBI) drove in the Generals only run. Starter Dylan Unsworth
(5.0,7,5,3,2,3) recorded the loss, allowing 5 runs (3 ER) on 7 hits over 5.0 innings. RH Matt Anderson (2.0,0,0,0,0,3) struck out 3 over 2.0

GAME 2 RECAP: Starter Kyle Hunter and relievers Andrew Kittredge and Tyler Knigge combined on a 2-hit 7.0-inning shutout as
Jackson defeated Biloxi 4-0 on the final game of the doubleheader on Thursday night. Hunter (4.0,2,0,0,2,3) allowed 2 hits, walked 2 and
struck out 3 over 4.0 scoreless innings, but did not factor into the win. Kittredge (2.0,0,0,0,1,1) earned his 2nd AA win of the season after
hold the Shuckers scoreless in the 5th and 6th innings, while Knigge (1.0,0,0,0,0,2) struck out 2 in a 1-2-3 7th inning. CF Ian Miller (1x4), 3B
Aderlin Rodriguez (1x2, 2B, RBI, BB), C Mike Dowd (1x3, R), LF Jabari Henry (1x2, R, HR, 3 RBI, BB) and SS Luis Caballero (1x3) each
collected 1 of the teams 5 hits. Henry hit his 7th home run of the season with a 3-run blast with 1 outs in the 6th inning.
ROY HOWELL TAKES OVER AS MANAGER: The Seattle Mariners announced that hitting coach Roy Howell would assume managerial
duties for the Jackson Generals for the remainder of the 2015 season beginning June 30. Jim Horner, who had managed Seattles Double-A
affiliate since the beginning of last year, recently accepted an assistant coaching position at Washington State University. It marks the
second-consecutive season that Howell has taken over as manager for a Seattle affiliate. Last March, he replaced Rich Donnelly as the
manager at Triple-A Tacoma after Donnelly was named the Mariners third-base coach in Spring Training. He led the Rainiers to a 74-70
mark, and his 74 victories were tied for the 9th-most by a manager in his first full season. Howell, in his 4th season with the Mariners
organization, spent 2012 and 2013 with the High Desert Mavericks in the California League. His managerial resume includes three seasons
at short-season Eugene (2003-05), three seasons with San Luis of the California Collegiate League (2007-10) and one season leading the
field staff for the Road Warriors of the independent Atlantic League (2011). A former first-round selection by Texas in the 1972 draft, Howell
logged time in the PCL as a player with Spokane (1974) and Portland (1985), as well as three seasons as a hitting coach with Portland
(2000-02).
