Existence and History

Existence does not need a consciousness and does not need to be noticed existing to continue to
exist. Consciousness is a by-product of existence. Existence is the normal state of things and is
independent of the philosophies of evolution and creation. If existence was not the normal state
of things, then it would not be possible at all. There has never been nothing in existence.
Logically, the philosophies of both religion and science are flawed by the presumption of a
beginning or first event. Humans have created a need for a creator God to give meaning to the
idea of existence, yet no such meaning is necessary to exist.
For example, rhythm is governed by motion, but consciousness is not necessary for motion and
rhythm to exist. They exist with or without a witness. In logical terms, there was no absolute
beginning and there was no void. There was always existence or it would be impossible to exist at
all. There was no original idea that created existence; existence spawned the idea.
There is no way of determining the origin of the human species. Overly simplistic logic would
dictate that humans have always existed because we exist now, but as a species we are
susceptible to universal natural cycles and near extinction events. It is logically possible that our
basic genetic makeup has remained essentially the same for millions or even billions of years. Our
appearance as a species is still a mystery and we will never know the truth. Our true history is
buried by the detritus of the past, both physical and philosophical.
Science in the last two centuries has been attempting to produce definitive answers, but the
amount of surviving evidence is miniscule and logically presents a distorted picture which bears
no resemblance to objective truth. This is the dilemma for anyone examining the past. The truth is
unobtainable because over 99% of the evidence is missing. All that is left are the shadows and
echoes of past events. The past, it seems, is forever lost to the present and the true nature of our
origins is forever obscured. Our real beginning is too remote for us to know.
Yet the past is allowed to affect the present in so many ways. Philosophies and sciences
formulated in the past by people now dead are allowed to dictate the nature of material
conditions in the human world of today. The cause of civilised humanity is continually tested by
systems of dealing with the problems of the human world, which seek to limit and control the
dynamic change of the ever unfolding now. They are based in assumptions about the nature of
things formed decades or centuries ago, which may be no longer relevant for today’s conditions.
The current era of human history encompasses the last 10,000 years. There a large number of
theories relating to the period of human activity before this time, some of which have
mainstream acceptance and can be examined as case studies in history and pre-history.
The events of human history are credibly documented for a period of only a hundred years or less.
Some nations and groups have been documenting their affairs for longer. With the advent of film
and sound recording are we able to view events in the past on a level less influenced by the
opinion of the reporter. There are limitations to this objectivity, such as clever editing, but now we
are able to see events as they unfold where they have been captured by a video camera. The
camera can lie, but in normal use it is remarkably objective.
With everyone in the world being aware of the existence of everyone else, and a high level of
access to the ability to document individual stories, we have a set of international conditions not
seen in at least 10,000 years. It is now possible to receive information almost instantaneously via
satellite anywhere in the world. The footage of significant events can be saved and archived to be
available for study at leisure.
Raw video footage becomes a primary historical source document. Our ghosts are no longer
restricted to written or oral testimony, we are able to see participants as photos, videos and
sound in action. We can see them as they were when they were alive. We are enregistering
ourselves as ghosts in the machine for future generations to examine us as we really were.
We belong to the first global era in the last 10,000 years of history. However, we will be viewed by
any future generation in a way less influenced by what we think and more by how we appear to
the people of the future. The editorialising of historical events by memorialists in the past, which
holds such sway on our views of human history, will have less impact on historians of the future
when they study our time, if only they can restrict themselves to raw footage or access the story
without the propaganda generated by television networks or partisan reporting and editing.
We have now reached the juncture where all sides in conflicts may record their side of the story
and publicise it. The world of people is becoming more literate and more organised in exposing
moral crimes against humanity. Video footage is being made of all types of events. Social
Networks on the internet such as Facebook are now used to mobilise and inform the underdog.
No God need create a reason for us to exist. It’s up to humans to create our own reasons to exist in
the material world. We should remember that there will be descendants after us and to leave a
material world in better shape than we found it, for those that will live in the future. Stories of
armageddon that so many believe is inevitable could be a near extinction event. Such a belief is a
creation of human philosophy and consequent action based on fear and fatalism. How much this
is influenced by fear of the forces of nature is unclear. The danger is in holding a clear cut belief in
powerful predictions, such as those of the Adamic religions, about the end of the days. There will
be survivors. The future cannot, however, be predicted with certainty, and intransigent belief in a
creator/destroyer God is a belief from the past, leaving little incentive to solve global issues.
Where we stand now as a world is an echo of similar civilisations immediately before their fall. We
see amazing levels of progress side by side with appalling chaos and decay. We see large interest
groups clinging to outmoded and outdated philosophies which will only lead them into the very
chaos they are trying so hard to tame. How true is this in relation to current world events, and
how many of the world’s people will be affected in the prophesised fall of Adamic civilisation?
What would be left afterwards? Is the free market hastening the “fall”, or exarcerbating the chaos
and decay? The free market is, after all, a product of Adamic civilisation.
A different view of the events in history may gleaned from a casual study of Chinese philosophy.
The conclusions of early philosophers, such as Mencius and Confucius, were that the material
world has long stages of order and equilibrium followed by a much shorter period of chaos
followed by a return to order. This pattern is repeating time and time again. It is a cyclic view of
history which is based on the experience of empire, dissolution & reorganisation over several
millennia. How this relates to Northern and Western Europe, with its late arrival of comparative
unity, could be explained by historical widespread illiteracy amongst Europeans, resulting in the
obscuration of earlier conquered civilisations as legend and myth committed to memory.
The issue has been complicated by a long and fanatical devotion to religious ideals founded on
the vengeful God of the Israelites, who has become the God of the world's two largest religions,
Christianity & Islam. This is the Adamic civilisation of today's world, which, when coupled with the
historical arrogance of Eurocentric scholars, leaves us with the ingredients of denial of basic
contrary evidence culminating in a different set of truths which are espoused by the elite to the
masses at odds with logical truths and objective facts.
Earlier attempts at written language in Europe, such as ogham and runic alphabets, have not
survived well, as in only a few cases were they written on sufficiently durable material. We are
thus forced to rely on traditions handed down to the point where they were written down in
durable form. At the time the traditions of Scandinavia and the North European Islands were
written down, they were modified by the Christian beliefs of those who recorded these legends.
Christianity was responsible for increasing literacy among certain peoples, the oral tradition was
transcribed but modified by the imperative need for missionaries to connect the community
memory with a biblical interpretation of origin. The people of Ireland, for example, were
successfully related to the Scythians as the sons of Ham. This myth persists to this day and is one
of the central tenets of Christianised Irish clan history even in the 21st century. But recent DNA
analysis exposes how fallacious this interpretation is in relation to the real gene pool.
Christianity, by attempting the identification of peoples found in Ireland with supposed Adamic
relatives in the wider Eurasian world, was an early attempt at globalisation. Irish ancestors were
given bloodlines to connect them with the builders of the Tower of Babel and thence brought into
the biblical family as a lost Hamitic tribe. This implies a number of connections but not directly to
the descendants of Shem, the Semites. This was necessary to ensure the identification of the Irish
remained with the Gentiles and to strengthen the justification for their Christianisation. Yet most
of the Irish bloodline belonged to a community that had no memory of the Middle East and were
already resident in the Irish area at the end of the Ice Age.
DNA research in Britain recently has indicated that the Celtic and Asiatic migrations into Europe
accounts for less than 20% of the mix in the total European heritage, with these bloodlines
strongest in Eastern Europe. The bulk of the remainder is based on an indigenous gene-pool of
more than 10,000 years residence in the Europe. This estimate is based on the analysis of both
matrilineal DNA (mDNA) and patrilineal DNA by British academic scientists.
The indication and interpretation is that the modern population of Europe is substantially
descended from the Cro-Magnon inhabitants of the same area. Whilst there is some justification
for connecting the people of Europe with an eastern migration to Europe, this hegemony only
obscures the real identification of the peoples of Scandinavia and the Northern European Islands
with their own indigenous tradition which predates the Celtic and Indo-European hegemony.
Indeed, some theories posit that the Celtic migration could well have been a backward journey
towards the lands of their origin, bringing new ideas home.
It is not the purpose of this article to convince anyone of anything, even at its best it is the
subjective reasonings of one who dares to believe that anything is possible, even if it flies in the
face of established histories. The object of this article is to preface a book I am writing to try and
draw together seemingly disparate strands from various cultures throughout the world, in a way
that is not often done, to provide a new telling of the world we live in. It is not concerned with the
fantastical, spiritual and mystical. It is the product of logic with a small dose of intuition.
This book therefore is the telling of a new legend which is as old as the human race. It is the
greatest story never told because it is the legend of the ancient knowledge.
