backed up by a strategic outsourcing policy with network of 2500 plus dealers this
company has nationwide presence. It has 3 fully functioning plants acr5oss India
Chennai, Nasik and Noida and 2 warehouses in Durgapur (West Bengal) and Patna.

HAZARDOUS PROCESS:
Only in painting plant, some hazardous will be consider, because all are
machine painting.

As per Act, PPE and protection weapons are given to

workers.
By using training, low accident occurs in some times.
But in overview, no hazardous in TI cycles, Ambattur, because the main process
is stickering, packaging, painting and removing Greece from cycle material.

PRODUCT PROFILE:
TI cycles today boast of a tailor made, wide portfolio of product in over 200
color combinations for every possible customers. TI has a stable of about 50
products for its domestic markets. Products are also exported to countries like
Germany, Denmark, USA, UK and Sri Lanka in their own brand name. Products

TIME OFFICE FUNCTIONS:


ATTENDANCE REGISTRATION:
All workers including contract labour, trainees, management staff attendance
are maintained by time office through HR department.
Separate punching machine for contract labour, trainees and management staff
If an employee punch to miss or come late, when he got permission to work, he
may register his name in missing punch regularization slip. That day will
calculated for salary also.
Monthly the registration copy sent to management.
Per day all workers punch their card 4 times and also individual workers punch
their card to concerned plant

not recruited any persons till date.

They select a person through video conferencing. HR and the concerned
department are direct the programme.

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT:


Here training is conducted by INSTITUTE OFINDUSTRY IN
INTERACTION CENTRE.
Both on the Job & off the job training conducted by IIIC.
As per TI cycles organization schedule IIIC gives training.
All classes of training are given including painting and welding

TRAINING PERIODS:
It depends on management option, individual employee have lack of certain
knowledge, attitude, skills. They are not standard training periods.
When a person requires 2 week or 1 month training, they give.

KEY RESULT AREA PROGRAMME:


Once in a six month, key result area fixed on between management staffs, here
increments, promotions are given, it all based on results.
For workers, yearly once performances are checked, if the management
satisfied his work, then promotion, increments are given.

WAGE & SALARY ADMINISTRATION:
Wage & salary administration are concerned with Human resource
department. As per labour legislation the wages are calculated
Contract Laborers Rs. 152/- per day
Permanent workers Rs. 12,000/- to 20,000/ Trainees Rs. 5,000/- to 8,000/ After addition and deduction, the salary deposited on HDFC Banks. Every
employee through HDFC Banks, they got.
Before 7th of every month, salary is deposited in HDFC Banks.
For contract laborers, responsible contractor gives salary he may give before
10th of every month by cash.
If any problem in regarding to contract labour in particular wage problem, the
management can help him.
Increments also available for every worker once in 4 years.

As per Acts, all legislations are applicable to this industry. Excluding


workmen compensation Act, because ESI act already existing. The Social security

management. These are mostly satisfied by the INTUC trade union in the
organization.

WELFARE MEASURES:
OBJECTIVES:
To provide better life and health to the workers
To make the workers happy and satisfied.
To relieve workers from industrial fatigue and to improve intellectual, cultural
and material conditions of living of the workers.

FEATURES OF WELFARE MEASURES:


Welfare measures are in addition to regular wages and other economic benefits
available to workers due to legal provisions and collective bargaining.
Labour welfare schemes are flexible and ever-changing new welfare is added to
the existing ones from time to time.
BENEFITS:
They provide better physical and mental health to workers and thus promote &
healthy work environment.

Employee welfare measures increase the productivity of organization and


promote healthy industrial relation, thereby maintaining industrial peace.
WELFARE OFFICER FUNCTION:
Welfare officer: Mr. PARAMESHWARAN.

He may proactive in establishing certain welfare schemes.


He promotes good working condition, cleanliness etc.
He acts as a supervisor function in organization cleaning.
The disposal of wastages systematically followed by him

INDUSTRIAL RELATION:

Grievances are not take place between workers, because proper functions,

facilities, are maintained by management.


TI cycles of India creates some standing orders in functioning the

organization, any misconduct or violation occurs, some fines will be fixed.


There are no conflicts between employer and employee. After 1978 to till

date no problems suffers the management.


Here TI cycles of India are good example for Industrial peace and Harmony.
No legal cases, strikes, lockouts, and disciplinary action against employees

also.
Laziness is not considered as misconduct here, immediately, counseling
should be given for those workers.

ALLIED ACTIVITIES OF TI CYCLES:


If floods attack areas, slum areas, the organization helps in certain areas
education, hospitality, recreation etc.

Here only one trade union existing the name of the trade union is
INTUC

FUNCTIONS OF TRADE UNION:

The TI cycles INTUC trade union not indulges in any strike, absenteeism

against management.
After 1978 to till date, there is no problem
They always supportive for management.

CONCLUSION:
It is one of the great choices to do practical analysis in industry through this
field work. I got some exposure, knowledge from the resources. And I know about
the peaceful setup how helps the management and worker to succeed in their life.
