Author’s notes

The subjects “The Witch Queen of Orient Sun”, “Lhundrup Dhechen (Great
Blessing”, “In the Tunnel of Death, the Labyrinth of Life” and “The Common
Artisans of Love” are true stories, happened to myself. As I am the protagonist of the
scripts, it would be possible to make of them four films or a TV Serial of seven
instalments for a total of 10 hours and 30 minutes.

It is reasonable that the so called world of the paranormals phenomenon’s shun at

the comprehension of many people and above all to people that never had this kind of
experience; that’s the reason why I would like to tell to anybody who will read my
synopsis (if they have doubts about the truthfulness of what I wrote), I am willing to
be submitted to the lie detector any time.

Such a determination can come only from the desire to give to the world a positive
message and a psychological help in those difficult periods; when terrorism and
natural disasters kill people and sow fear and dejections in the earth.

I hope my stories give a message to the mass-media and over all to young people: my
novels leave in heredity a real experience that permit to understand better the brain
mysteries, the human unconscious and surly could help people to accept all religions.
The scripts I wrote are surely original and they can not be compared to others..

Synopsis of the screenplay

The Witch Queen of the Orient Sun

L' Odyssey of a cruise ship and her crew, with the
“Witch Queen of the Orient Sun” ’s premonitions.
In contact with the mysterious Eastern world,
between Singapore and Jakarta, threatened by racism, mutiny, hurricanes,
fires and toxic smoke which doesn’t allow to sail.

On March 1991 I have two dreams where my father (died on 1989) tells me that I will have an
extraordinary odyssey in the East, on board ship.

In one of the two dreams, I see blood dripping from my mouth, in the other one my father
tells me that he will cure me with the help of an Indian doctor. Almost twenty days after these
dreams, I join the ship named “Orient Sun”, berthed in a dock at Piraeus, Greece, waiting to
sail for the East. During the voyage, I am a supervisor and I have to teach Lilian how to use
computer and be a shop manager. Lilian boards with Alfio (her lover).

When I meet Lilian on the plane, I recognize in her hair and eyes, the same ones I already saw
in my dream. A few days later we leave the dock, sailing to Singapore. On June the 15 th, in the
night, air conditioning stops working and I wake up immediately, dripping with sweat and
remembering a dream where Eastern people take over half of the shop on board and sell
Chinese goods. In the meanwhile, I disembark and see Lilian and Alfio on a cart drawn by a
horse leaving, and leaving me. During the sailing, in the evenings, I usually meet with the
general manager, the purser and the engine room officers on the Sun Deck; we drink beer and
we talk a lot. During one of these evenings, I discover that the general manager is a racist: he
hates the Filipino crew. One morning, a few days before reaching Singapore, the ship meets a
hurricane which lasts three long days. The hurricane has been so strong that it has completely
destroyed the villages on the nearby islands, and we see the remnants floating on the water.
We reach Singapore with one day delay. The general manager is very angry and accuses
Filipino crew to be good for-nothing, as far as he is concerned, he would kill them just like
Hitler killed the Jews. I stare at him, disappointed, and I think about all those useless evenings
spent trying to make him reflect upon his terrible ideas. The first cruise is delayed, in order to
finish some works on the ship.

During this maiden voyage there will be only V.I.PS. and Travel Agents on board, that’s why
everything must be perfect, in order to have good publicity and fill the ship with rich
passengers. Just like in my dream, two days later the Charterer breaks the contract with the
Company I work for, the crew must disembark. Lilian tells me that she won’t remain on
board without Alfio, I agree with her but I please her to wait until I find a new assistant. The
Indonesian Charterer takes half of the shop with the intention to sell Chinese goods. The
Charterer disembarks anybody who is no good for his purpose. Alfio leaves, leaving Lilian
crying. When the voyage starts and the ship is full of passengers, a lot of sailing problems
begin: food is disgusting, air conditioning always doesn’t work, and travel agents protest
threatening bad publicity. Many passengers prefer sleeping outside on the deck, instead of
suffering the heat during the night. In Singapore all the newspapers write about the terrible
experience lived by travel agents on the “Orient Sun”. But the Charterer doesn’t lose heart
and thanks to a big publicity (great winnings at the Casino, strip-tease shows, luxury
prostitutes and “special” masseuses): he succeeds in taking aboard passengers. In the
following days, because of a broken pipe (they suppose), potable water and sea water mix in
the pipe-lines of the ship, the crew and I are obliged to drink that mix because the Charterer
doesn’t sell potable water at bars, he only allows the delivery in passengers’ cabins.

From that moment on, I notice blood dripping from my mouth. At last, I recruit purser
Frank’s wife and Lilian disembarks. Captain Michael too is a racist: he doesn’t trust the crew
and irritates it with repeated drills every four days. On July the 27th, in the harbour of
Jakarta, the umpteenth fire drill. I feel sick and when the drill finishes I don’t have lunch and
I prefer to go to sleep. During my sleep I dream of an handsome Indian Prince wearing a
wonderful colored turban: he starts massaging my gum, I feel a kind of energy entering my
mouth, while a strange heat wraps my body; suddenly I see a lot of particles running inside
my mouth and becoming part of my teeth. The following days the blood stops dripping from
my mouth. Unfortunately, the entire crew starts having dysentery and Win, the doctor,
decides to inoculate everybody against cholera and other diseases, in order to prevent
quarantine. After a couple of months, we discover that all the pipe-lines are ok, there is no
broken pipe, but the mix happened because of the incompetence of one officer. Captain
Michael tries to conquer me, but I don’t like him and he is married! That is not accord to my
principles.

The Charterer disembarks even the general manager, who is replaced by Hong, a very
handsome Chinese. With his savoir faire he conquers Desery, one of my friends, a hostess. She
will tell me everything about her affair with the Chinese. Because of the heat, almost 45° C.,
there are fires on the Indonesian Islands; that is dangerous for our sailing because the smoke
avoids us to see and we risks collision with other ships (during the night it is impossible to
sleep because of the foghorn). Even inside the ship we notice small clouds of smoke, floating in
the air. They are grey and toxic. I start feeling sick again. One night, I am half-asleep and I
see the transparent image of my father trying to cure me with acupuncture. I feel a strange
energy coming out from my plexus (this energy will last a few days).

On August the 24th, ship berths in Singapore, I immediately run to the MT. Elizabeth Hospital
where I have a blood test. On the 28th, when I go to withdraw the result of the blood test, Doc.
Charles T.C. Lim says to me: “You are as strong as a horse, you know? You had hepatitis A
but now, your body has created antibodies and you are infectious no more”. In the following
weeks I dream about the ship, she will stop sailing, in a future, but I don’t know the reason
why. In one of these dreams, I realize that our Captain will be struck in a psychologic way by
a very sad event. One night, during a birthday party of one of the crew, the Captain and a
Filipino have a quarrel and the Captain hits him; the entire Filipino crew helps the man and
there is a kind of mutiny. Henry (the cabin chief) wants to help the Captain but he is wounded
at the head and the day after he must go to the hospital. The same day, the entire Filipino
crew accuses the Captain of being a racist and threatens to leave the ship. The Captain leaves
the ship in the hands of the staff Captain, but four days later, when the ship comes back to
Singapore, fifty Filipino people of the crew are replaced with Burmese and the Captain keeps
commanding the ship. But, just like in my dream, he stops smiling and his hair turns grey in a
short time. In the meanwhile, we discover that Henry received a bribe from the tip of his
stewards; so the Company fires him.

On September 199l I have a very short dream of one of my friends Edward Gibbs who is
nervously running up and down the ship, worried about a stain of black liquid in a room full
of electric wires. On October, I dream I am in Italy, at my uncle’s funeral. Shocked, once in
Singapore, I immediately call home in order to have his news; my mother tries to hide me the
truth, but at the end she tells me that my uncle has a cancer and he is in hospital now. At last
the wet monsoon arrives, and the rains extinguish the fires on the Indonesian islands.
Towards the end of October, I see Edward running to me; he is excited and tells me that one
of my dreams comes true: his assistant woke him up at six in the morning because one room
full of electric wires has flooded with black liquid. At the beginning of November, I have
another short dream where I see our ship abandoned in a harbour, grey smoke going out
from one of her side. One evening I tell my dream to Shirley Kok, purser assistant and
amazingly she had the same dream. And even Mr.Tono, the Charterer accountant, who has
listened to us, tells he has had the same dream and in his dream the ship moved on wheels and
stranded. Shirley and I tell the dream to the officers, explaining that a common dream can
surely come true. Same month, another dream: Mr. Edward Gibbs suffering on his bed, with
his feet on a pillow.

Twenty days later he has problems with his ankles and the doctor of the ship orders him not
to move for two weeks. At the end of the month I dream of two mobsters (they look like the
Charterer and Mr. Willer Wuner), and they tell me they have the power to keep me on board
for long time. I wake up immediately: now I understand that my staying on board, in that
“prison”, will last many months. The Company orders me to find somebody interested on
buying goods and leading the shop, so I keep on dreaming future events and purchasers. But
when I meet a possible Chinese purchaser, the Charterer upsets everything. In the meanwhile,
many passengers prefer other ships and that intensifies the financial problems of our
Charterer. After many negotiations, Charterer’s wife tells me she is very interested on
buying, but her husband is still doubtful. I try to contact him, but when I reach him on the
phone he postpones the deal on January 1992.

For that reason I must delete the flight I booked for December the 20 th. I decide to take what
is happening philosophically: on board the crew love me after all: they tell me: “Mommy, we
love you” and I usually answer: “Hi children of the Orient Sun, I love you too”. Captain
Michael disembarks because of a turnover and he is replaced by the English Captain Philip,
who, being not a racist, is loved by the crew. I also dream when I will come back to Italy the
airplane company will lose my luggage. On January the 2nd, my father and my ex-boss, Mr.
Valdettaro (dead by cancer on 1990), appearing on a dream, tell me that the ship will stop.
During the breakfast I tell the dream to the officers and the Captain too, but they answer my
dream won’t come true: the Charterer has signed a 18 months contract, we have spent 8 and
break it would mean to pay a penalty clause. January the 5th , early morning, half-asleep I find
myself in front of The White House, in the U.S.A, surrounded by some people dressed in
black, they incite me to enter but I refuse, astonished, saying: “Do I really have to go into The
White House? Well, what should I say to the people living there?” While I feel two presences
at my side, with the eyes of my mind I see a beautiful golden Cross and a book with a golden
cover full of diamonds. They are glittering. Astonished I say: “Oh my goodness! The Cross
means my sacrifice on writing that book!” when I hear a voice saying: “You will tell them
your story and conquer them all!” The sound of that voice is so convincing that I am touched.
I wake up and realize that the White House is for the American People, and with the story of
my adventure on the Orient Sun I will conquer their attention. About the sacrifice on writing
the book, at that time I didn’t know that I would have had a bad desease that would have
made me almost blind (when I started writing it I was only one tenth per eye).

On January the 7th 1992, the Charterer collects all his things and runs away just like a
burglar. If the shipowner doesn’t find another Charterer, the ship will stay in the harbour
and the crew will be without a job. The Captain and the officers, remembering my
premonitory dream, nickname me “The Witch Queen of The Orient Sun”. During this stay,
my boss advises me to sell the goods to some businessman in Singapore, but unfortunately
there are laws which avoid to disembark duty free goods in Singapore. At the end, I must send
the whole goods to Venice, facing a lot of problems which delay my leaving again. On January
the 13th 1992, the fire alarm wakes up the whole crew. Smoke caused by the fire goes out from
one side of the ship, nearby the lower cabins. The Captain orders to reach ship’s boat number
three, waiting for the disembark, but the fire is extinguished in one hour and he orders to
come back to our cabins. At last I find a good forwarding agency in order to send the whole
load to Italy! The crew and the officers lead me to the ship’s boat and say goodbye to me with
love. On January the 31st 1992, I leave the “Orient Sun” and fly to Europe. Once in Bologna
airport, I must go to the baggage claim: my baggage has gone lost; fortunately, a few days
later the company delivers it at home. While my mother and I are going to the hospital to see
my uncle, she tells me that my father appeared her in dream and told her that after my
uncle’s death, other two relatives will die. Even my cousins Giorgio and Virgule die. My
father, when alive, got very angry with my mother and me when we talked about premonitory
dreams; he didn’t believe it and considered us nuts. I think that his appearance in our dreams
was in order to apologize for his behaviour, showing us that we were right. Three months
later I receive mail from Edward (I still have it): he writes me the ship Orient Sun doesn’t
exist anymore. A Finnish company has bought it and changed the name into Wasa Queen.
Worried, he writes he must stop working for a month because he needs new feet, as his ankles
keep on hurting, he probably must change them into stainless steel. The officers and the crew
send me regards, they disembark with him the day after. At the end he asks me how is the
Witch Queen of The Orient Sun? Has she started to write down her book?
Synopsis of the screenplay

Lhundrup Dhechen
The experience of three friends exploring Kathmandu and its charming temples In
contact with mysterious Tibetan monks and paranormal events, In the monastery of
Kopan on the hill of the sun, looking for enlightenment. When Dharma transforms
itself into a diamond sword able to open the hearts and transmit light.

The above mentioned title, is the Tibetan surname that I received from Lama Lhundrup
Rigsel after my initiation happened in Nepal, in the monastery of Kopan, on November
2001.Where Dhechen means Great Blessing. The story begins when my friends Serena Silvestri
(a doctor) and Franco Cascini (a judge retired) ask me to go with them to Nepal, in the above
mentioned monastery, in order to meditate. Very interested on that, I decide to leave with
them and enrol for the One Month Lama Rim Course November 5 – December 5, 2001.

This story is a real experience in contact with the extraordinary and mysterious world of the
paranormal, lived by me, by the famous Lama Yeshe (reincarnation of Lama Tenzin Osel
Rimpoche), Lama Zopa Rimpoche, Geshe Lama Konchok, Lama Charo (the monk-child able
to remember his previous life: he found his previous family) and by Zina Rachevsky
(daughter of the Prince Romanov run away from Russia during the Revolution. Her mother
was a rich American heiress and Zina lived in Hollywood; she became a famous actress and
when she decided to become Buddhist she gave Lama Yeshe Kopan hill as a present. The
place where the monks built the monastery).

After the enrol, I decide to become vegetarian. Some months before I leave, I dream Jesus
Christ, the Virgin Mary and Padre Pio: they send me messages. Remembering other dreams,
I perceive that Christ is leading me, through friends who invite me to enrol to Buddhist
courses, to strengthen that all religions, when they teach love and brotherhood, lead to the
same source. In the first day in the monastery I have a dream, and days later, during a
meditation, an extraordinary experience with Jesus Christ. In October, at home, I was half-
asleep and I saw some Buddhist monks flying away from me towards the ceiling, and they
smiled. That happens many times and each time I feel that they have taught me something. It
happens also in Kathmandu in the hotel Manaslu where I stay with my friends before leaving
for the monastery.

In Kathmandu Serena and Franco introduce me to Gopal, one friend of them. Gopal is a
Nepalese lawyer who fights for the rights of Nepalese people, risking his life. He talks about
the Maoist guerrilla warfare and all the problems linked to the King’s uncle, after the Royal
Family was killed off. Gopal says that the Nepalese political situation is heavy and he thinks
that peace won’t last long. Gopal and Franco talk about their plans about the orphan children
that must be approved. Gopal tells us that he also wrote a book about human rights and it will
be distributed to people by the end of the month. Nepalese government has forbidden that,
but he contacted the most important worldwide humanitarian organizations in order to
intervene if he is arrested and beated. My friends and me visit the fantastic Durbar Square
and the Kumari Devi Palace, the famous living Goddess, and my friends tell me its story,
explaining that Hinduism and Buddhism are an extraordinary example of permeation and
tolerance.
Last night in Kathmandu I wake up and I remember an image: a group of people smiling at
me, among which I see a Buddhist monk and a young man, tall and with long black hair. On
November the 4th, we reach the monastery of Kopan. In the afternoon, we visit a village at the
bottom of the hill, where there is the famous Stupa Boudhanath. In the evening, when we
come back to the monastery, we meet Jolanda; a Spanish woman who will be our room-mate.
When Serena and me enter the bedroom, we realize that Jolanda has just finished to cry.
Later, she tells us she lost her 16 years old son in a terrible car accident: in the collision one of
his knees has run through his heart, killing him. Jolanda falls depressed many times, but
Serena and me will be able to help her and become real friends.

On November the 5th we reach the gompa for our first meeting with the Worshipful Master
Neil, and I am struck by a group of French people: six women and five men, among which
there is the Buddhist monk Jean François and Willy, with his long hair. I gaze at them, I think
I already know them. Unexpectedly, a flash back: I remember my dream, the last day in
Manaslu Hotel in Kathmandu. As Serena, Franco and I speak French, in accordance with
Karen (the woman monk who will lead meditations), are accepted in the French group in
order to talk over the Master’s teachings every day at 2 p.m.. From that time on, there will be
a special relationship between the French group and us. In the screenplay I describe teachings
about Dharma and the life of Buddha by our Worshipful Master Neil. In the monastery there
are 167 guests, coming from all over the world. Karen invites us to “Karma Yoga”: each
person should volunteer and work together on common good. Serena volunteers as doctor for
the monks and possible patients, and I, with her permission, volunteer as her assistant.

We become part of the monastery life: every day we wake up at 5 a.m., with the sound of
cymbals, songs, horns, mantras and prayers. Soon the Lotus position causes problems to our
knees and silence and fast make life hard. Many guests fall ill and during our turn in
infirmary there is always a queue of patients waiting to be cured. During a meditation I ask to
my inner master if I will be able to find a film producer for my screenplays; the answer is a
vision of a group of monks with guns who fire against the sky. I understand I have to ask for a
prayer. After having seen the charming monks’ ceremony, I go and meditate and pray they
can be Buddha quickly, in order to help mankind to leave samsara. Immediately I have
another vision of a beautiful shining white Lotus flower, whirling over my heart. Nights later,
in my dreams I receive the answer to my question: a group of monks with a sharp log break
down a door.

That dream makes me understand that one door will open for me and I find a producer, but it
takes time and hard work. During meditations leaded by Karen, I have extraordinary visions:
Dalai Lama embracing me, Buddha asking me to work hard to become Buddha myself, and
when I tell him that I don’t know if I ever will be able to, I see a tear-drop running down his
face. Touched, I promise him to do my best to be like him and help mankind to leave samsara.
Many other experiences are described in the screenplay. Franco tells me about his unique
experience with Tara (mother of all the Past and Future Buddhas), happened years before in
Tibet and also Serena tells me about her unique experience regarding reincarnation happened
in this same monastery seven years ago.

Unfortunately, the peace of the monastery is broken by the Maoist war. Maoist guerrilla
explodes some buildings even one TV station. Monks worried cancel the following course.
Night and day we listen to the sound of machine-guns in the valley. Maoist guerrilla is
approaching monastery. Our staying in that place finishes with rituals and initiations made
by monks dressed with their Tibetan religious costumes. In Kathmandu we cannot leave the
hotel for two days because of strike and brawling. We spend our last days visiting the city.
The very last day Gopal leads us to Patan, he has just started to distribute his book (at least,
he reaches out without problems with the Nepalese government). While we are leaving, they
tell us that there has been fires from an helicopter: 100 people injured and ten people killed.
Franco will reach out in one of his plan to help orphan children. Jolanda leaves her job in
Spain and moves to India, to the monastery of Dharamsala, to study the Tibetan language in
order to act as an interpreter for the Dalai Lama.
Synopsis of the screenplay

In the Tunnel of Death,

the Labyrinth of Life
Premonition of a meeting and telepathic contacts with
a passionate young man who is afraid of his past life.
When destiny leads us toward an experience
that will help our inner growth.

This story begins on a night in December 1989, just one year before meeting Gabriele; that
night I dream of a guitar sound with a strong pain which wake me up in the middle of the
darkness. I try to understand the meaning of this dream for almost a week, but
unsuccessfully. One year later, I come back from the Caribbean Sea, after having worked on
a ship.

My friend Viola starts nagging me with her request to go to dance together. When I tell her I
need relax, stay by myself writing or painting or taking care of my garden, she blames me for
rooting in my “hermitage”; behaving this way I will never meet interesting people.

After her insistence, I decide to go out and dance to the “Stork Club” in Milano Marittima.
On Monday, during the first week of December 1990, I wake up at 9:30 a.m.. The rays of the
sun are filtering through the shutters of the balcony; while I turn my back to them I see
confused images in my mind, then I close my eyes and relax. The dream reappears, just like at
the touch of a magic wand. Here I am, entering a church where I know that somebody is
waiting for me. One old man points to the Pope, I realize He wants to tell me something. I get
closer, slowly, astonished and surprised to have the honour to be received by the Pope. I kneel
down on a pew, a few steps from the altar, facing Him, who is kindly smiling; then He raises
his right hand and says:

“I must advise you that there is a young man who will make a vow in order to marry you!”
Astonished I reply with a smile: “I hope he will ask me too” – After a pause, the Pope with a
serious expression says: “Remember, you are going to live paranormal experiences!”

Four days later Viola and me go to dance to the Stork Club and I meet Gabriele. He is there
because one of his friends obliged him to go out in order to have fun; four days ago his
girlfriend left him and he is very sad. His face shows his pain. While I stare at him struck by
his suffering, he tells me that he spent four days and nights without sleeping but playing his
guitar and thinking about his girlfriend. At the same time, he astonishes me assuring that he
has just forgotten her thanks to our meeting. I tell him he cannot make fun of me, but he asks
me to believe him. He is amazed for what it is happening but I attract him so much! From
that moment on, there is a love story full of passion and overwhelming feelings. But he has
terrible secrets, and I have a lot of presages. I live paranormal experiences, especially
telepathy. I feel all his fear and pain, striking me just like storm. But it is his sexuality and his
passion that involve me. Thanks to dreams I realise he was a bad boy, and he confesses me he
took drugs. On Christmas night he tells me he made a vow in order to marry me. He is afraid
I leave him and he doesn’t want to tell me that his previous girlfriend died because of H.I.V.,
but I already knew this bad news from my dreams. I try to help him: he smokes and drinks
too much. But the strong sexual attraction doesn’t permit that. So I leave him.

At the very beginning of January 1991, during the night, after having left Gabriele, a guitar
sound with a strong pain wakes me up. I remember the dream I had one year ago, now it is
true. Gabriele was playing his guitar and his pain was so strong that I could feel it through a
kind of telepathy. Now I want to be sure of that. Four days later I go to the Stork Club where
I meet Gabriele again; I ask him what happened when we left, he tells me he went home, he
was so upset that he played his guitar thinking about me all night long. His dog Plutarco was
at his feet. Behaving in that way, he sent me through telepathy all his pain accompanied by
the sound of his guitar.
Synopsis of the screenplay

The Common Artisans of Love

The strange meetings of two women, two friends,
who enter in contact with martial arts of some kind of secret agents full of passion,
and the psychic powers of one of the two, who discovers their secrets.
When attraction or repulsion never happens by chance, but in order to lead us
through the path of inner evolution.

On March the 30th 1988 I come back from my tour around the world. My friend Viola comes
to see me, we are very happy to meet each other again. I give her the sculpture of a Buddha,
made of black stone. Viola suggests me to go to dance and one night we go to the Stork Club
in Milano Marittima where we meet Mauro and Michele. They start to flirt with us but we
don’t care; Viola says that Mauro is a show-off and a bore.

They invite us to dinner, we make up our minds and we agree. The second time we meet, the
two men turn out to be out of the ordinary: funny and common at the same time. Michele
works as a medical officer in the jail of Forlì while Mauro is a Karate teacher. They keep on
joking about the fact that Mauro not only is Michele’s karate teacher, but also his sexology
teacher. Viola and I are a little bit confused, we don’t know if they are telling the truth or not.
We have dinner in a restaurant in Cesenatico, near the canal. Our waiter is so pale that looks
like a ghost, “probably the reincarnation of a previous waiter” I say. My friends start
laughing and we talk about my paranormal experiences.

Mauro is very interested in that and he asks me what I have discovered. I explain him that
man is just like a dirty diamond: through life he can clean himself: leaving hate, envy and
material stuff he will be able to find a inner Self and shine like a pure diamond. Michele
laughs and says that cleaning Mauro’s diamond will be very hard. Viola suggests to use iron
brush. We laugh and from that moment on, the night is full of jokes. Viola falls in love with
Mauro but that doesn’t happen between Michele and me, we are friends.

One night Viola tells me that Mauro behaves in strange ways, she is afraid he is a criminal or
a pusher. I tell her she has a lively imagination and she should write thrillers. But she is right
about the behaviour of the two men, they are strange. One night I tell them: “Suppose you are
secret agents...a kind of 00...stop”. From that night on, they will behave more and more
strangely, and they let us suppose they are real secret agents: Mauro often is abroad and
Michele is moved to the Jail of Florence. In the meanwhile I work for a few weeks on the ship
Ausonia.

One night I dream I am in the desert where I meet two hippies. The one with cold blue eyes
tells me I am his girlfriend, then he turns into Jesus Christ. The dream changes, Jesus and I
sit under a window of the room where he had the Last Supper, he takes my hands and kisses
my cheek, he is very sad. When I wake up I try to understand the dream. Viola keeps thinking
about Mauro and his life as a secret agent, and she dreams in front of TV watching James
Bond movies. When I disembark, my father tells me that my house is ready. I can live alone,
now.
One day Viola tells me that Mauro has a friend (a Digos officer) who wants to meet me, his
name is Antonio. I tell Viola about my dream and the hippies, I am sure that a story will start
between Antonio and me, but in a very sad time of my life, because the desert means death.
Viola doesn’t believe too much in dreams and she blames me for my behaviour. But I know
that dreams are messages of our inner self to help us face the future and avoid bad events.
When I meet Antonio I notice the same cold blue eyes, he is handsome and he tells us that
Mauro is not with him that night. We sit down, but I would be better go home. I remember
the dream and the future pain he will give me; but I stay. Antonio reveals me that Mauro is a
liar: he is not a Digos officer, but a simple engineer; Mauro is married and has got a
daughter. Michele and him played the secret agents and they teased us. Antonio tells also he
was a hippy when he was young.

When I tell Viola what I know, she doesn’t believe it. But, thanks to a private detective, she
discovers the whole truth. She decides to take her revenge on Mauro. Antonio and I start
flirting, he tells me he is divorced, but one day I call him and a woman answer: his wife. I am
very angry, Antonio explains she still lives with him because she is looking for a house, but I
don’t believe him. Fortunately, I have to work again on the Ausonia, where I dream about my
father’s health which troubles me. Even one fortune-teller met in Barcelona on the Ramblas
during a walk, tells me about my love and the death of my relative. I decide to invite my
parents and my sister Rossana on board. Mom tells me that dad doesn’t feel good, but they
come.

During the cruise I notice that there is something wrong with my father’s health, he is always
tired and he doesn’t want to move. He promises me to see the doctor when they come back.
After the disembark of my parents, I dream of Buddha who gives me a message of hope: life
after death. I try to prepare for the worst. I keep in contact with Viola, her revenge is
working. Antonio wants my address but I forbid her to give it to him.

One day I am obliged to leave the ship immediately: my father has lungs tumour with
metastasis. He runs away from the hospital in his pyjamas, and after a day finally one man
find him on the bank of the Senio river. He was staring at the water in the sunset. I decide to
leave my job and stay at home to help my mother taking care of my father.

One evening Viola comes to see me, she tells me that Mauro has paied off all his “debts” at
last. She suggests to have a walk on the beach, but she takes me to the Kursaal, a dancing
club, where I meet Antonio. He tells me that his wife has gone, so we start our story again.
After 54 days of cross, my father dies.

On September the 14th 1989. The day of his funeral he has three orchids in his hands and a
smile on his face, as if he wanted to tell us he is in a better place now. Six months later I
discover that Antonio is unfaithful to me. That’s enough. I definitely leave him for the
Caribbean and I embark on a new ship.
