Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming! Are you ready?

Latter Rain Truth

Truth is an ever growing knowledge of God's word as described in Daniel.

Daniel 12:3-4
3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and
they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the
time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be
increased.

Some believe the increase in knowledge only applies to man's growth of

scientific knowledge and technology. This short-sighted thinking ignores the
greater significance of events which lead to eternal consequences. We are
facing incredible judgment as the end of the world as we know it
approaches.

Malachi 4:1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all
the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that
cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave
them neither root nor branch.

God has always promised He will keep us notified of what He plans.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret
unto his servants the prophets.

The next great event we can expect, as God has revealed through His
prophets, to those who seek for truth, is a great outpouring of the Holy
Spirit, while the final decisions on this world are being made for obedience
or lawlessness. This event is called the "Latter Rain".

I believe the prophetic context of our specific time (also known as the
"Present Truth") can be found in this message prophecied in Malachi and
the appearance of a special prophet.

Malachi 4:4-5
4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him
in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great
and dreadful day of the LORD:

I refer to this as the Third Elijah Message, which is coming into focus and
will soon be proclaimed by a mighty prophet. I have created a prophetic
chart of current, preceding, and forthcoming events. I have placed a star to
show where I believe we are in the timeline. The understanding of the Third
Elijah Message is growing to its peak at the appearance of the Elijah
prophet. We are experiencing the first light of dawn for the end of time.

In this article I am going to dig deeply into the outpouring of the Holy Spirit
which is widely talked about and discussed. I believe there are some serious
misunderstandings about the work of the Holy Spirit in the Latter Rain. We
will focus this study in the book of Joel. A careful reading of the whole book
would be a valuable preparation for this study. Don't be afraid, it is a small
book.

The book of Joel opens with a scene of utter destruction and waste. I
believe this is the scene at the end of time and there is a lot of symbolism
which refers to the devastation of God's word, the corruption of God's
people, and the uprising of evil. The talk of starvation and drought has a
clear underlying spiritual symbolism and last days component.

Joel 1:14-15
14 Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the
inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto
the LORD,
15 Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a
destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

The deep student of the Bible clearly recognizes the reference to Atonement
Sabbath. There is also the symbolism of Trumpets Sabbath and repeated
mentions of the day of the Lord which reminds us of Malachi 4.

Joel 2:1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy
mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the
LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

There is a clear message of repentance which comes to the followers of God

when confronted with truth. This message is accepted by the humble and
rejected by the proud who believe they have all they need.

Joel 2:12-13
12 Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your
heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:
13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD
your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great
kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

The focus continues on the observance of the yearly Sabbaths.

Joel 2:15-16
15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:
16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders,
gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go
forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.

Think carefully about symbolism. Is the real need during the great and
dreadful day of the Lord for rain and food? Many recognize this as a
reference to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the Latter Rain. Is not
wheat symbolic of a spiritual food, wine and oil the spiritual preparation of
the Holy Spirit?

Joel 2:23-24
23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for
he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come
down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first
month.
24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with
wine and oil.

Is not the rain also doctrine?

Deuteronomy 32:2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil
as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers
upon the grass:

The focus of the Latter Rain (Pentecost) is often only on the physical
manifestations of the Holy Spirit. Joel indicates these things come
afterward.

Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit
upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old
men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

The disciples spent years studying truth under the guidance of the Messiah
before Pentecost came. Will we experience Pentecost if we do not have a
similar powerful learning and growing experience?
Many recognize the first Pentecost was at Sinai. What did we see there? The
giving of the Ten Commandments followed by an outpouring of doctrine in
the Law of Moses! Many talk about faith but they do not study to obtain the
knowledge of truth.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou
hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest
to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy
children.

There are many today who talk about the "gifts of the Spirit", yet walk in
lawlessness. The order of growth in doctrine followed by the power of the
Spirit, is both true and necessary. People get so focused on the gifts, they
idolize the power instead of the source. Without the true source and basis
of knowledge, Satan is quick to supply deception and delusions to
counterfeit the true signs of the Holy Spirit.

II Thessalonians 2:8-11
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume
with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his
coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and
signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish;
because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should
believe a lie:

I have heard a quote, which says it very well:

"The Law without the Spirit is legalism, but the Spirit without the Law is
disobedience."

Are you growing in understanding in this first phase of the outpouring of the
Holy Spirit in doctrine, to be ready to participate in the second phase of the
manifestation of power?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing
for the soon coming of Iaushua (ee-ah-oo-shoo-ah) Messiah, the Son of
God.
