Sit up straight as you prepare to do these exercises. Keep your backbone


fully upright with your shoulders pulled back as you get into position.
Inhale slowly and deeply. Slowly fill your lungs with air. Think about how
pure, fresh and cleansing this new air is for your body.
Focus on how your lungs feel as they fill with air. Notice how they expand.
Pay attention to how your diaphragm moves to make room for more air in
your lungs.
Exhale slowly. Release the air from your lungs until they are completely
empty. Feel your lungs contracting as you expel all of the old air from your
body.

Use of Equipment (if any): No equipment necessary


Restrictions: Strenuous Activities

HEALTH TEACHINGS

Instruct the patient to comply religiously with home medications given.


Instruct to inform the physician immediately if there are any side effects
experienced.
Instruct to increase fluid intake: 8-10 glasses per day
Instruct to utilize Deep Breathing Exercises for at least twice a day
Instruct to focus on light activities
Instruct to avoid going on crowded places
Instruct to cover mouth when coughing or sneezing
Instruct to eat healthy meals 3 times a day.

SPIRITUAL CARE

Spiritual counselling such as encourage to read the bible, say a prayer to God
to give thanks for the guidance provided throughout the course of his
condition, and to strength faith in God.
Supportive counseling

PROGNOSIS
The patient is resolving from pneumonia, he should not forget to follow the
doctors order for the maintenance of his medication. He doesnt need a change in
therapy, nor does it warrant additional courses of antibiotics or prolonged antibiotic
therapy to make sure pneumonia has fully cleared up. And follow up check up to his
physician for further analysis to his condition.
