Objective
To obtain a position that allows me to work with people and has a potential for growth.
Interests
I was raised with a handicapped younger brother and repeatedly volunteered to facilitate the Special Olympics.
When working directly with the children during their day time practices became a conflict with my career I
switched gears slightly and now volunteer for an organization that rescues the older dogs from shelters before they
are put down. We take from as many shelters as we possibly can and the animals then come and live with their
"foster" family until a forever home is found for them. Since this process typically takes months to occur, in the
mean time, I have been able to utilize the majority of those animals to form bonds with some of my emotionally
harder to reach children. Each year I have been permitted to bring animals to the children while in school and we
would learn how to work together to take care of another living thing.
