1.2.4
Calculations: The contractor shall provide engineering calculations for the
foundation and structure. The calculations shall be stamped and signed by the
Registered Professional Engineer responsible of the design. The calculations shall
satisfactorily demonstrate the load assumptions, load combinations used, force reactions,
member forces and capacities, and the member size selection.
1.2.5
Drawings: The drawings shall be stamped and signed by the Registered
Professional Engineer responsible of the design. At a minimum, the drawings shall show
all member sizes, dimensions, and connection details required by the design.
1.3
Foundation:
1.3.1
Description: The hangar foundation shall be of type of isolated square footings
connected by tie beams. (Machines foundations were not considered into our quantities
at this stage)
1.3.2
Slab on grade: the machines and equipment in the warehouses are considered
installed on a 25cm slab on grade. (Note that the actual thickness of the slab on grade
will be specified in the design stage once the type and value of the occurring load is
identified)
1.4
Hangar Structure:
1.4.1
Description: The hangar structure shall be a prefabricated Tensioned Fabric
Structure supplied by a qualified Tensioned Fabric Structure Manufacturer. The fabric
structure shall be a frame supported tensioned membrane structure, suitable for rapid
erection and disassembly. All materials provided shall be new and unused.
1.4.2
Tensioned Fabric Structure Manufacturer: The Tensioned Fabric Structure
Manufacturer shall be responsible for the design, engineering, fabrication, and supply of
the hangar structure.
1.4.3
Erection: The hangar structure shall be erected by a qualified installer approved
and certified by the manufacturer. Submit all installation instructions and plans for
Government approval.
1.4.4
1.4.4.1 Hangar Door: Provide one automatic, electronic controlled hangar door on the
north side of the building. The doors may be sliding doors. The dimensions of the
doors are 6 M wide, 5 M high. Doors shall be equipped with padlock plates and
hasps.
1.4.4.2 Egress Doors: Hangar contractor shall install Hollow Metal egress doors and
frames. Door and frame shall be weather-stripped to keep out the elements.
1.5 Utility Ports/Sleeves: Provide four closeable ports/sleeves for HVAC and electrical utility
access. Ports shall be integral with the pre-fabricated structure and provided by the structure
manufacturer. Coordinate size and location of the ports with the Government.
1.6 Structural Inspection: The Contractor shall coordinate with the Project Inspector 48 hours
prior to all required inspections. Attendance at the structural inspection is mandatory for the
Contractor or his designated representative. Inspection shall be conducted prior to structural
framing members and their associated attachment and connections being closed off or
hidden due to interior finishes, insulation and or exterior finishes.
2.0
- Ground level (+0.00) of area 1400m2 includes offices, toilets and showers, kitchen, prayer room,
dining room, lockers..
- First Floor (+3.60) of area 400m2 includes offices and toilets.
- Roof level (+7.2) of area 400m2 with a 0.8m parapet all around. (parapet level +8.00)
The exterior walls of the building are 40cm cavity walls, the interior partition walls are
hollow concrete blocks of 15cm thickness. All walls are screeded and painted, floors are
tiled, and a false ceiling is considered hanging below the structural ceilings.
2.2
Structural Design:
- The design codes, design loads and material specifications to be adopted will be as specified by
the client later.
- The contractor shall provide engineering calculations for the foundation and structure. The
calculations shall be stamped and signed by the Registered Professional Engineer responsible of
the design. The calculations shall satisfactorily demonstrate the load assumptions, load
combinations used, force reactions, member forces and capacities, and the member size
selection.
- The drawings shall be stamped and signed by the Registered Professional Engineer responsible
of the design. At a minimum, the drawings shall show all member sizes, dimensions, and
connection details required by the design.
- The foundation shall be of type of isolated square footings connected by tie beams.
- A 15cm slab on grade at ground level.
Interior doors are wood doors 1m wide and 2.2m high, except at prayer and dining room
doors are 2m wide and 2.2m high
Exterior doors material to be specified later (wood or steel) and dimensions 2m wide and
2.2m high
