Introduction

National University ITRO created an online information system for the students known
as National University Information System (NUIS). This site enables students to view their
grades and evaluate their professors online. This will serve as the online control center of the
NU students where they can sign in everywhere and every time. This NUIS composed two main
parts which are the library and student. The library section includes the library books of the
school, library multimedia, and library project, on the other hand, the students sections includes
student pre-registration, online teacher evaluation, and the grades of the student. Through this
site, students will able to view the available books of the library, the library multimedia, and the
library projects online. In addition, students may also view their pre-registration or the next
semester as well as their grades on midterms and finals. Upon enrollment, new students should
proceed to the NU ITRO to have an account on NUIS. They will be given an account name as
well as the password in accordance to their name and student number and these will be there
account to be able to access on NUIS and this will be there account until they graduate.

Statement of Purpose
We propose that the old NUIS student profile would be more detailed and fine-looking by
changing its appearance and adding some important and necessary information about the
student activities, such as the breakdown of tuition fee and the remaining balance,
recommended books for each subject taken and untaken, the class schedule on the next
semester until the end, college activities for the entire year, and subject requirements and
syllabus on every subject taken and untaken. Moreover, we will add inspirational quotes and
songs on NUIS. We suggest making NUIS be informative enough for the NU students and play
a more substantial role for the college life of National University students.
The purposes of this study are to make the students aware and not outdated about their
college activities as well as the school activities. Next is to prevent students spending their time
waiting and fall in long line in accounting office. Another thing is to make students ready enough
for their lessons, activities, and discussions and also to give students an ample to save enough
money for their school requirements and recommended books. Another purpose is to inspire
and motivate students by giving them several inspirational quotes and songs. More so, to make
the class discussions start on designated time and discuss all the topics stated in the syllabus
and to make the NUIS fine-looking in the eyes of the students.

Plan of Action
Since our proposed project is to improve and add some important details in NUIS, we
need to gather that information from authorized departments in National University. In the
breakdown of tuition fees and remaining balance of student for instance, we will go to the
Admissions Office, Registrar and Accounting Office, since they are the one who manages
financial information of the students. For the recommended books, class schedule, subject
syllabus and requirements it will be taken from every college director in National University like,
Business and Accountancy, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Education, Arts and Sciences, Nursing,
Engineering, Architecture, and Hospitality Management. The college calendar and college
activities will be also taken from them. Lastly, the school calendar will be taken from Admission
Office. We will be also searching some inspirational songs and motivating quotes.
To make our action successful, we need first the approval of NU ITRO since they are the
one in charge in making and managing NU information system, and for us to be successful in
gathering that information, lastly, to make our proposal be implemented.

Having those benefits will make the life of National University students easy and convenient
because by just signing in they will know the information they needed immediately. In addition,
they can perform well in class discussions and activities since they know what topics they will be
discussing and study in advance or in vacation. More so, they dont need to wait for the
Accounting Office to open and fall in long line just to check their balances.

Will It Work?

Since this proposed new NUIS would be like giving the student an opportunity to view
certain information about their school activities and create different apperance it would make
their college life to be convenient, as a result it will be worthy for them compared to the old
NUIS.
Before, the students only used the NUIS to view their grades and to evaluate their
professors performance. Now, they can use it to as the information center since it become more
detailed. This new NUIS add new features such as breakdown of tuition fee and the remaining
balance, recommended books for each subject taken and untaken, the class schedule on the
next semester until the end, college activities for the entire year, and subject requirements and
syllabus on every subject taken and untaken. The students will no longer experience the late
discussions since they can buy books ahead of time. It will also give them opportunity to
examine their subject requirements.
Finally we have discussed with the students in our class and to our professor about the
idea of a replacing the old NUIS and the overwhelming majority agreed to the idea. This idea
will work since it provides essential information to the students and improve their academic
performances.
Desired Outcomes
The main goal of this proposal is to improve the old NUIS and help NU students perform
well and improve class performance. Besides keeping them updated and informed this proposal
will also make the life of NU students convenient and easy. Moreover, this project makes the
NU information system more useful for the life of every Nationalian. This will also serve as the
sign for the continuous improvement of NUIS by providing accessible and essential information
for the students.

The other goal of this proposal is to widen the reach of every college in the university in
disseminating information, activities, events and other school festivities that will be held, by the
fact that not all students visit their college bulletin every day.

Necessary Resources
The designing and creating NUIS determine how much time is necessary to fully
complete the project. One month to create a new National University information system should
give us enough time gather all the information needed from different college department for the
subject requirements and syllabus including the recommended and required books, also the
School and College upcoming events, Accounting office for the list of tuition fees from different
courses, Registrar for the list of subjects for the entire year. In addition, ample time and effort is
needed to create a website like NUIS. In addition, we need to search different inspirational
quotes and motivating songs.
In terms of other necessary resources we entrust it to the NU ITRO since they are the
one responsible for applying this proposal and for the final presentation. This project is very
demanding because we need someone who has skills in terms of computer and programming.

Preparations Made
Based on our interviews to the students of National University, they said that it would be
good if NUIS would be more informative. In addition, as a student using NUIS we would like to
make the system valuable to us. Gathering the information needed to fill in the proposed new
NUIS, such as the breakdown of tuition fees, name and author of the recommended books,
syllabus, subject requirements, and school activities for the entire year with the approval of our
NUITRO to implement the proposal. We can talk to the class and come up with a good
presentation time and date for everybody volunteer to hold an early presentation session a few
days before the due date on how to use the new NUIS and also so the others can get an idea of
what the NUIS could look like and why they can benefit from the project. We will make
ourselves available to the class if they have any questions about the proposed project.

Conclusion
This new NUIS will allow students to view the information they needed to their school
activities. The project is a smart way to get students involved to the school programs and be
time efficient in doing their school works. This new NUIS will give students an opportunity to be
ready on their school activities and improve their performance. As a result of the effort and time
put into the system, the students should be organized and productive for the entire year.
