SUNDAY SCHOOL:
After two meetings, the Sunday School Committee has a plan. We will begin on Sunday, September 20th
using a new curriculum, Workshop Rotation.org. With this curriculum, children study one lesson for four
weeks, using the arts, games, cooking and videos to understand the Bible. We encourage all parishioners to
view the www.rotation.org video on the internet to find out about this program. Children and parents will
gather with the congregation upstairs for the Collect and Prayer, then proceed downstairs to launch the first
of weekly children's chapel services, followed by active lessons.
We are starting a nursery for our smallest parishioners, hoping that all parents with babes and some willing
parishioners will form a caregiving rotation. We also welcome all parishioners to take a turn at teaching one
or two Sundays a year so that no one misses the service upstairs every Sunday.
On September 6th there will be three sign up sheets at coffee hour. The first to guarantee nursery care for the
first 12 weeks. The second will outline the first 12 weeks of rotation lessons so you can sign up to be a
teacher. In the spirit of our new curriculum, we want to name our Sunday School. In Ipswich, MA it is called
"The Beach" and each classroom is named for fish or shells. On the third sheet we will challenge you to come
up with a name for our Sunday School!
Please remember that we need art supplies and Legos. And on Sunday, September 20, coffee hour
refreshments will be ice cream sundaes.

HOLIDAY FAIR:
Your St. Dunstan's Holiday Fair Committee will gear up for the big event this month so we will be
resplendent in November 21. Many elements of the Fair are already in place, including format, advertising
plan, vendors, auction items, table leaders, luncheon plans and menu, and spatial layout. Our next meeting will
be in the Undercroft on Thursday, September 17 at 6:00 p.m. with light supper.
Two other events are planned for the month of September: first another mini pop up sale at coffee hour to
benefit Fair expenses. Parishioners are welcome to bring a few baked goods, plants or craft items to add to
this sale. On Sunday, September 27 after coffee hour and with snacks, the Fair Committee is hosting a tiled
tray crafting workshop in the Lottie Horn Room. Supplies and creative guidance will be provided. Completed
trays will be sold at our Holiday Fair. We hope you will join us.

PRAYER REQUESTS:
As requested, Prayer Request Cards are now on hooks in the pews, as well as on the table at the back of the nave.
ALTAR FLOWERS:
Have a special event, birthday, anniversary or graduation you wish to mark? The Altar Flower sign-up sheet is located
on the table in the Narthex. A new sign-up sheet was added for August through October.
COFFEE HOUR SIGN UP:
A Coffee Hour sign-up sheet is now available on the ECW bulletin board for September-December services. Anyone is
welcome to host or co-host a coffee hour and the items offered to supplement coffee and juice can be as simple or fancy
as the host/hostess would like. It is always fun to buddy up and have someone host with you. Please sign up if you are
interested and ask Tracy, Leslie or Muffet for more information if needed.
IN OUR COMMUNITY:
LOAVES AND FISHES FOOD PANTRY NEWS:
When you read this article, Labor Day will be right around the corner and you all know what that means to the Pantry
fund raising efforts. The pie booth will be at the Blue Hill Fair once again and St. Dunstan's fabulous pie bakers are
again featured on Saturday the 5th of September. Mary, Judy, Jan, Lorna and Marian have again agreed to contribute
delicious pies and Harvey and Joe will be serving between the hours of 1 and 5 P.M. Drop by and we will provide the
treat of the day. If you cannot make the fair on Saturday, the booth will be open each day of the fair for you to get your
slice of pie.
