Check Motor for tightness

The motor can be checked for tightness with measured air
pressure and air flow.
Values for a proper tightness are as follows:
45 l/min air flow
10 mbar pressure
During pressure check the motor must be complete mounted
with all parts.

2.

Cracks between cooler housing and cooler duct plates

- The cooler inlet has to be checked for cracks and
tightness. The seam between cooler housing and
cooler duct mounting plate must be undamaged.

Insufficient sealing on marked area

-

In case of insufficient condition, the loose seam has to

be removed and cleaned with DUGR 5. The seam

must be resealed with Loctite 9492.

Properly finished seam between plate and housing

3

Sealing between motor housing and cooler

- The sealing between motor housing and cooler must
be checked for correct fit. The sealing must be
continuous without any gaps.

Proper fit of the sealing

-

The fastening of the cooler must be checked for

tightness. The mounting bolts must be tightened so
that the cooler housing is connected to the metal
sealing rails and the sealing is properly pressed.

Proper tightening of cooler unit

-

If the cooling unit is removed, the condition of the

sealing must be checked. The sealing must fit between
the rails and must be undamaged. In case of damage,
the complete seal must be replaced.

General cleaning instructions

The motor must not be cleaned with high pressured water.
Risk of damaging the gaskets.
- The air channels, the fan and the cooler ducts must be
cleaned regularly to avoid packing of dirt and to ensure
sufficient cooling capacity. Clogged cooler ducts
increases the risk of motor damages.
- The cleaning interval depends on the dust conditions

but must not be less than one month.

The air ducts must be cleaned mechanically with
pressure air and e.g. a suitable brush.

Ensure that the air channels are clean.

Air channels with extreme dust contamination

The Fan must be cleaned mechanically. Cleaning with

water is not allowed. Risk of residual unbalance
caused by packed dirt.

External fan with extreme dust contamination

Unprotected connection points

-

The motors must be checked for unprotected

connection points. In motors production->2006, the
connection holes might be present. These holes must
be tightened.

The unprotected connection points must be tightened

It is very important that the motor is maintained

according to manufacturers instructions.
-

Greasing interval of 1000h 100g/bearing.

Recommended grease is Mobilith SHC 100 (lithium
complex base). The grease box must be cleaned from
excess grease every 6 Moths.
Monthly cleaning of the motor air channels and fan to
ensure proper cooling capacity and preventing of
vibrations in the fan.
