Network Planning and Optimization Engineer

I am currently working as LTE RNO in Nokia Pre-Launch team on STC Project for South Region from Riyadh,
Saudi Arabia.
My Work Responsibilities Includes:
Pre-Optimization for new Integration of TD-LTE & FDD-LTE Sites for 4G3 Scope & 4G3-ES Scope.
Team Leader for Drive Test Teams of 2G,3G & 4G responsible for Pre-Launch Activities for these projects.
Troubleshooting the problem areas and providing recommendation for the systems performance enhancements to
GTAC,NI,Design and Core.
Maintaining & Monitoring KPIs(P-RACH CSSR,E-RAB DR,E-RAB SR, eNB Intra HOSR,eNB Inter HOSR, RRC
Stp SR), Retainibility(PS drops),Integrity,Mobility,Stability,Site Traffic(Active UEs per cell,No. of user in peak
hours/off hours etc),PRBs Usage etc on all LTE scopes(Modernization,New Integration,1800Mhz,2300Mhz Sites).
Primary Verification of Drive Test Data and taking necessary corrective measure to improve coverage parameters
like RSRP,SNR,RSRQ etc by reducing the interference from neighboring cells,overshooting cells,pilot pollution
and Internal Interference.Ensuring Site have acceptable Throughput for Downlink and Uplink with FTP/UDP
Servers and Latency Timers meeting the acceptable ranges.
Solving Throughput issues by checking stability of Transmission link working on the (site facing any QoS issues
or packet loss) etc.Transmission Backhauling on the site(Final CWO or temp Solution).Further taking up with
GPON or Microwave teams (based on what is running on the site) for troubleshooting and ensuring site is running
with proper licenses as per design,Proper implementation of Profiles Selected. QoS parameters enabled etc.
Working on different configurations for Antenna Sharing(2G1800 with LTE1800 sharing RF modules, DB Antenna
for 2G900 with LTE1800,PentaBand Antennas Sharing all the technologies).
Basic knowledge of the features in SW releases from onwards RL30,RL35,RL40,RL45,RL50.
Handling daily tasks to be performed on eNodeBs through Nokia Netact OSS system.

Achieving DL & UL Throughput testing results in a cluster, criteria for DL Throughput with FTP in Mobility
drive(above 25 Mbps), UL Throughout(above 5 Mbps).
Static Throughput Tests at VIP locations inside city(must achieve greater than 55Mbps on DL and 9 Mbps
for UL Throughput. Identify and inform issues could be causing low Throughput. Hotspot Tests inside
Buraidah City to record RTT values.
2G,3G (3 months):
Attend Daily customer complaints for 2G, 3G in Qaseem region and later co-ordinate
with Optimizer in solving these issues.
Update about issues like Call Setup issues, TRX Testing, MAIO Setup, HO issues, Cell
Re-selection.
Check Throughput in HSDPA, HSUPA, R99, EDGE & GPRS around Complaints area.
Report issues like Call blocking , Mute call issues, Poor coverage (Rx Lev, Rx Qual) in
2G & (RSCP, EcNo) in 3G and apply field optimization(Mechanical Tilt, Electrical Tilt) for
resolving these issues.

DT Engineer on U900 Rollout Project of Ericsson with Mobily (Jeddah Region).

Worked on Ericsson Rollout of Trial sites for 4th carrier in 3G U900.
Compare the coverage for Carriers U2100(F1) with U900(F4) in Idle mode (using frequency scanner) and on
dedicated mode using mobiles.
Make Ping, Downlink and Uplink Throughput tests for U900.
Co-ordinate with Optimization Team leads for soft optimizations and Parameter changes to observe
the enhancement in network coverage after Re-drives.
