 his cloning software is designed to perform data
entry, setting and cloning for the IC-F3162D/
F4162D(T/S) VHF/UHF dPMR HANDHELD TRANSCEIVERS,
or IC-F5062D/F6062D VHF/UHF dPMR MOBILE TRANSCEIVERS.
D HELP WINDOW: CS-F3160/F5060(dPMR) has a
help window to describe functions and operation.

(dPMR)

System requirements
NOTE:
When using the OPC-966/1122, RS-232C type cloning
cable, select Normal for the cloning speed setting in
[COM port] menu of the cloning software. Otherwise, a
cloning error may occur.
When using the OPC-966U/1122U, USB type cloning cable, you must install a USB driver. The driver is
supplied with the OPC-966U/1122U. See the OPC966U/1122U instruction manual for details.
This instruction manual is described using Microsoft
Windows Vista.

To use this cloning software, the following hardware and

software are required:
PC
Microsoft Windows 2000/XP, Microsoft Windows
Vista or Microsoft Windows 7 is installed
With RS-232C serial port (D-sub 9-pin) or USB port
Other item
For IC-F3162D/F4162D(T/S)
Optional OPC-966 CLONING CABLE (RS-232C type) or OPC966U* CLONING CABLE (USB type)

For IC-F5062D/F6062D
Optional OPC-1122 CLONING CABLE (RS-232C type) or OPC1122U* CLONING CABLE (USB type)

Software installation
When installing the software, log on as the administrator.
q Make sure Windows has completed its start-up, and no
other applications are running.
w Insert the CD into the CD drive.
e Double-click the setup.exe contained in the CD.

* The USB driver, supplied with the OPC-966U/1122U, is

not supported by the 64 bit OS.

y Choose Destination Location appears, and then click
[Next>].

If desired, click [Browse...] to select another destination folder

before clicking [Next >].

If User Account Control appears, click [Allow] to continue.

r  Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for CS-F3160/

F5060(dPMR) appears. Click [Next>].

Confirm
Click
Click
t User Information appears, and then type your name,
your company name and the product ID number in the
following manner. Then click [Next >].

u After the installation is completed, InstallShield Wizard

Complete appears, and then click [Finish].

ID number: 298411-(6 digit serial number)

e .g. the ser ial number on the CD is XXXXXX*, enter
298411-XXXXXX as the ID number.
* XXXXXX is shown as an entering example only, and it is invalid.

i Eject the CD.

o A program group CS-F3160_F5060(dPMR) appears
on the program menu, and a CS-F3160_F5060(dPMR)
shortcut icon appears on the desktop.

You can uninstall the cloning software using the Uninstall a

program in the Windows Control Panel.

 Connections
All cloning operations are performed from the PCs keyboard.

For IC-F3162D/F4162D(T/S)
q Connect the cloning cable as illustrated below.
w While pushing and holding [P0], rotate [VOL] to turn ON the transceiver.

Programming information
We recommend that you should download all the transceivers data before entering/editing parameters, even
when the transceiver is factory fresh.

Click
software and select Read <- TR, to start downloading.

Please refer to the help file of the cloning software for assistance with the functions or settings.
To open the help file, click [Help] in the top menu of the
cloning software and select Contents, or simply push the
[F1] key of the PCs keyboard.

Click [Model] in the top menu of the cloning software to

select the model type which you are going to clone from
LMR (Land Mobile Radio) and PMR (Private Mobile
Radio).
NEVER turn OFF the transceiver and PC while downloading or uploading cloning data. Otherwise, the data could
be lost or deleted.
