Inkjet
Inkjet is a digital printing process employed in textile printing on account of its versatility. BASF develops and
markets inkjet inks for this process using the companys broad know-how in the formulation of colorants and its
many years of expertise in textile printing.

Albigen A

Polyvinylpyrrolidone solution.
Strongly fibre-affinitive stripping and levelling auxiliary for vat, sulfur, direct
and reactive dyeings. Levelling agent with retarding action in dyeing with
vat and direct dyes. Prevents staining of the ground when prints produced
with direct and reactive dyes are washed off.

Bafixan

Bafixan colorants are low-electrolyte, liquid disperse dye preparations that,


together with our auxiliary system, meet the requirements of ko-Tex
Standard 100. Bafixan colorants are used in transfer printing with aqueous
print pastes. Because of their similar sublimation properties, they are
highly combinable and give very reproducible results.

Basacryl Salt KM

Aqueous solution of a quaternary ammonium compound.


Levelling agent in dyeing anionic PAN fibres with cationic dyes. Non-foaming
migrating auxiliary with good combinability and no fibre-blocking action.

Basacryl Salt MX

Surface-active compound.
Retarder with pronounced migration-promoting properties for dyeing
polyacrylonitrile fibres with cationic dyes. Combinable with dyes with the
combination numbers 1 to 5.

BASF Liquid Reactive


Resist Agent

Sulfonic acid derivative.


For white and coloured resist prints with suitable reactive dyes under
suitable vinyl sulfone dyes. Offers the following advantages: simple but
flexible application, reliable procedure, and effects of the highest brilliance.

Basojet PEL Conc.

Fatty acid ethoxylate and condensation product.


Liquid, APEO-free combined dispersing and levelling agent for PES dyeing
under acid conditions. Basojet PEL Conc. greatly reduces deposition of PES
oligomers on fibres and in dyeing machines, thus minimizing associated
problems and improving the sewability of yarns.

Basopal PK 98

Alkaline solution of inorganic sodium salts. Anionic.


Peroxide killer for removing residual peroxide from the bleach before
dyeing with reactive or direct dyes.

Basosoft D

Fatty acid condensation product.


Liquid, universal, cationic softener. For all fibres and blends. Imparts a very
soft handle. Can be used on loose stock, card sliver, tops, yarn or piece
goods, and applied by all sorts of different methods, such as dipping, padding or spraying. Indigo-dyed denim treated with Basosoft D yellows much
less during storage.

Basosoft EUK Conc.

Fatty acid condensation product.


Universal cationic softener in flake form (100 %) for all fibres and blends.
Imparts a very soft handle. It can be used on loose stock, card sliver, tops,
yarn or piece goods, and applied by all sorts of different methods, such as
dipping, padding and spraying.

Basosoft JET-K

Mixture of fatty acid condensation products and paraffin wax.


Cationic smoothing and softening agent for all types of fibres and blends.
Improves the sewability of knitgoods. Ideal for softening loose stock and
yarn, e. g. the softening of rope in denim manufacture. Little tendency to
foam.

Basosoft SWK

Mixture of a fatty acid condensation product and polyethylene wax.


Weakly cationic smoothing and softening agent with an antistatic effect for
all types of fibres and blends. Free of paraffin wax and silicone. Improves
sewability. Can be applied to yarn or piece goods by padding or the
exhaust process, e. g. in jet dyeing machines.

Blankit IN

Reduction bleaching agent. Stabilized dithionite.


White powder. Stable to hard water. Phosphate-free. Organic components
readily biodegradable. Non-hazardous. Optimized dithionite bleach for
wool and other fibres. Binds iron and heavy-metal ions and leaves wool
soft, whatever the water.

Blankit AN

Reduction bleaching agent. Stabilized dithionite and fluorescent brightener.


Light, greenish powder. Stable to hard water. Phosphate-free. Organic
components readily biodegradable. Non-hazardous.
Optimized dithionite bleaching and fluorescent brightening with a neutral
white shade. Very effective on CEL, PA and WO. Light and wash fastness
of the brightening on wool unsurpassed.

Blankit AR

Reduction bleaching agent. Stabilized dithionite and fluorescent brightener.


Pale-yellow powder. Stable to hard water. Phosphate-free. Organic
components readily biodegradable. Non-hazardous.
Optimized dithionite bleaching and fluorescent brightening with a reddish
white shade. Especially for wool. Light fastness of brightening unsurpassed.

Condensol FB

Synergistic mixture of metal salts.


Highly efficient catalyst for the resin finishing of textiles composed of cellulosic fibres, alone and in blends with synthetic fibres. Compared with standard metal-salt catalysts, Condensol FB permits a marked reduction in the
curing temperature or curing time. Ideal for one-step drying and curing.
Significantly reduces the free-formaldehyde content as measured by the
various test methods.

Condensol LF

Mixture of a metal salt and a polyamide solution.


Catalyst for the resin finishing of textiles composed of cellulosic fibres,
alone and in blends with synthetic fibres. Compared with magnesium chloride, significantly reduces the free-formaldehyde content measured by the
LAW 112 and AATCC 112 methods (EN ISO 14184, Parts 1 and 2), so that
the formaldehyde limits of ko-Tex Standard 100 (< 75 ppm according to
LAW 112) can usually be met with low-formaldehyde crosslinking agents
without afterwashing. The product also makes the fabric soft, smooth and
hydrophilic.

Condensol N

Synergistic mixture of inorganic salts.


Catalyst used exclusively with the formaldehyde-free crosslinker Fixapret NF
in the resin finishing of textiles composed of cellulosic fibres and their
blends with synthetic fibres. Greatly reduces the possibility of a garlic-like
smell after finishing, which sometimes occurs with magnesium chloride.

Cyclanon ARC

Mixture of a reducing agent, alkali and dispersing agent.


Aftertreatment agent for improving the fastness properties of dyeings
with disperse dyes on polyester and its blends. Can be applied without
additional alkali.

Cyclanon E

Aqueous solution of polyquaternary compounds. Formaldehyde-free.


Aftertreatment agent for dyeings and prints produced with reactive dyes. It
particularly improves the contact wet fastness properties and the fastness
to water and perspiration of reactive dyeings. It has no effect on shade or
handle and very little effect on the light fastness.

Cyclanon ECO

Aqueous solution of a sulfinic acid derivative.


Liquid reducing agent for post-clearing dyeings with disperse dyes on
PES, PES/PAN and acetate. Added directly to the acid dyebath. Avoids
the double pH change of conventional post-clearing.

Cyclanon ERL

Aqueous solution of polyquaternary compounds. Formaldehyde-free.


Aftertreatment agent for dyeings and prints produced with reactive and
direct dyes and indigo. Particularly improves the wash fastness ratings.
Can be used in the same treatment bath as Cyclanon E.

Cyclanon PE-Jet

Mixture of aliphatic ethoxylated products and a phosphoric acid ester.


APEO-free.
Low-foaming auxiliary for the non-reductive post-clearing of dyeings and
prints on PES fibres and blends of PES with wool and cellulosic fibres.
Forms very little foam and can therefore be used to advantage in semiflooded jet-dyeing machines.

Cyclanon R

Mixture of a reducing agent and ethoxylates.


Sulfur-free liquid auxiliary for the reductive post-clearing of dyeings with
disperse dyes on synthetic fibres. Mixture of a reducing agent and a nonionic dispersing and softening agent. Stable to air and moisture. Reduces
dye residues in the presence of alkalis, disperses dye decomposition
products, and gives a soft finish to the fibre.

Cyclanon K

Auxiliaries for countering any loss in fastness due to thermomigration of


azo disperse dyes in dyeings and prints on polyester and polyester/cotton
blends. Applied to advantage in conjunction with resin finishing.

Decrolin

Zinc salt of hydroxymethanesulfinic acid.


Discharge agent in textile printing, especially for white discharge and
white discharge resist printing on synthetic fibres, wool and silk, and for
full-emulsion pigment discharge printing.

Dekol SAD

Liquid anionic sequestering agent.


Prevents variations in shade and depth of shade caused by Ca 2+ and
Mg 2+ in dyeing CEL with reactive dyes.

Dekol SN

Acrylic copolymer.
Dispersing agent and protective colloid in dyeing cotton and cotton/synthetic fibre blends with vat, reactive, direct and sulfur dyes. Non-foaming
and non-retarding. Prevents impurities in cotton (pectinates, waxes and
water-hardening substances) from redepositing in the material, and the
formation of dye adducts with these impurities. Highly effective auxiliary for
washing off hydrolysates from dyeings and prints with reactive dyes.

Eulysin DBC

Phosphate-free aqueous solution of dispersing agents, complexing agents


and an acid buffer system.
Multifunctional, liquid product for PES dyeing. Disperses and complexes
hard-water ions, sequesters heavy-metal ions, sets the pH to an optimum
value of 4.5, and is an efficient buffer.

Eulysin S

Mixture of aliphatic dicarboxylic acids.


Used in dyeing and printing as a nonvolatile acid instead of acetic acid.
Applied in a long liquor, in continuous dyeing and in carpet printing. Forms
a very effective buffer with caustic soda.

Eulysin TX 5187

Aqueous solution of an alkaline buffer and a dispersing agent.


Alkaline pH regulator for dyeing PES fibres with disperse dyes.

Fixapret AP

Modified dimethyloldihydroxyethylene urea.


Crosslinker for low-formaldehyde, washfast resin finishing of woven and
knitted fabrics composed of cellulosic fibres and their blends with synthetic
fibres. Very high reactivity and extremely low formaldehyde values according to the LAW 112 and AATCC 112 methods (EN ISO 14184, Parts 1
and 2). Conforms to the formaldehyde limits of ko-Tex Standard 100
(< 75 ppm according to LAW 112) without afterwashing. Very low emissions
into the exhaust air.
Ideal for the BASF Advanced Performance Finish.

Fixapret CL

Modified dimethyloldihydroxyethylene urea.


For low-formaldehyde, chlorine-resistant, washfast resin finishing of woven
and knitted fabrics composed of cellulosic fibres and their blends with
synthetic fibres. Good stability to hydrolysis and high reactivity. Particularly
low formaldehyde values according to the LAW 112 and AATCC 112
methods (EN ISO 14184, Parts 1 and 2).

Fixapret CM

Modified dimethyloldihydroxyethylene urea.


For low-formaldehyde, chlorine-resistant, washfast resin finishing of woven
and knitted fabrics composed of cellulosic fibres and their blends with
synthetic fibres. Good stability to hydrolysis and high reactivity. Very high
degree of whiteness. Particularly low formaldehyde values according to the
LAW 112 and AATCC 112 methods (EN ISO 14184, Parts 1 and 2).

Fixapret CP Conc.

Dimethyloldihydroxyethylene urea.
Crosslinker for washfast resin finishing of woven and knitted fabrics
composed of cellulosic fibres and their blends with synthetic fibres. Good
reactivity.

Fixapret CV

Modified dimethyloldihydroxyethylene urea.


Crosslinker for low-formaldehyde, washfast resin finishing of woven and
knitted fabrics composed of cellulosic fibres and their blends with synthetic fibres. Very high reactivity and particularly low formaldehyde values
according to BS 6806, Part 2 (Shirley I).

Fixapret ECO

Modified dimethyloldihydroxyethylene urea.


Crosslinker for low-formaldehyde, washfast resin finishing of woven and
knitted fabrics composed of cellulosic fibres and their blends with synthetic fibres. Very high reactivity and extremely low formaldehyde values
according to LAW 112 and AATCC 112 (EN ISO 14184, Parts 1 and 2).
Conforms to the formaldehyde limits of ko-Tex Standard 100 (< 75 ppm
according to LAW 112) without afterwashing.

Fixapret NF

Dimethyldihydroxyethylene urea.
Formaldehyde-free crosslinking agent for resin finishing of woven and knitted fabrics composed of cellulosic fibres and their blends with synthetic
fibres. Washfast finishes with excellent resistance to chlorine are obtained.
Leaves finished textiles with a soft handle.

Glyezin A

Aliphatic thio compound.


Dye-dissolving and -fixing agent in textile printing with soluble dyes and
vat dyes.

Glyezin BC

Nonionic ethoxylated alcohol.


Auxiliary for dissolving acid, metal-complex and substantive dyes in
printing polyamide, wool and silk. For flushed and coloured resist prints.
Promotes penetration of the print.

Helizarin Binder ET

Aqueous dispersion of an acrylic copolymer.


Binder for solvent-free and low-solvent pigment printing. Produces prints
with excellent fastness properties and a soft handle. Also suitable for foam
and pearlescent printing.

Helizarin Binder FWT

Aqueous dispersion of an acrylic copolymer.


Thermally crosslinkable binder with a broad range of applications for pigment dyeing woven and knitted fabrics of all fibre types and blends in pale
to medium shades. Resin finishing can be carried out in the same step.
The dyeings are fast to dry cleaning (perchloroethylene) and have good
resistance to ageing, high wash fastness and a soft handle.

Helizarin Binder TOW

Aqueous acrylic dispersion.


Binder for aqueous pigment printing with a very low residual monomer
content. Produces prints with a pleasant soft handle and very good
general fastness properties.

Helizarin Binder TW

Aqueous acrylic dispersion.


Binder for solvent-free and low-solvent pigment printing. Produces drycleanable prints with an extremely soft handle. Compatible with most electrolytes, therefore very versatile. Should always be applied together with
Luprimol SIG or Luprimol SE. Main field of application: terry and knitted
fabrics.

Helizarin Binder UD

Aqueous dispersion of a self-crosslinking acrylic copolymer.


Universal printing binder, mainly for full-emulsion direct, discharge and
coloured resist printing. Normal handle. Prints are not fast to dry cleaning.

Helizarin Binder UDR

Aqueous acrylic dispersion.


Universal binder for solvent-free and low-solvent pigment printing. Very
little effect on the viscosity of synthetic thickeners. Prints with a pleasant
soft handle and very good general fastness properties.

Helizarin Binder 4574

Aqueous dispersion of a thermally crosslinkable acrylic copolymer.


Concentrated binder for solvent-free and low-solvent pigment printing with
very little effect on the viscosity of synthetic thickeners. The prints have
very good general fastness properties but limited fastness to dry cleaning.

Helizarin Bronze Binder MT

Binder-auxiliary preparation based on an acrylic polymer dispersion.


Ready-to-print, solvent-free preparation that contains all the additives
needed for high-quality bronze and pearlescent prints.

Helizarin Fixing Agent LF

Melamine-formaldehyde resin.
Crosslinking agent for improving the fastness properties of pigment prints
on synthetic fibres and regenerated cellulose, and on their blends with
cotton. For prints with a low formaldehyde content.

Helizarin pigment preparations

Dimethylol urea.

Kieralon B High Conc.

Synergetic mixture of nonionic and anionic products. APEO-free.


Excellent detergent with good dispersing action. Optimum efficiency in
hot, alkaline liquors. The product is therefore ideal for boiling off, as a wetting agent and detergent in bleaching, and for aftersoaping dyeings and
prints on cellulosic fibres.

Leophen RBD 1495

Anionic wetting agent.


For all types of textiles. Effective in neutral and alkaline baths. For
prewetting or wetting in dyeing and bleaching baths. Good rewetting
agent.

Lubasin RF New

Viscous polymer solution.


Special screen-printing adhesive for gumming down fabrics composed of
synthetic fibres on rotary-screen printing machines. Diluted with water or
alcohol before use. Since the product becomes insoluble at temperatures
above 30 C, only cold water should be used for dilution and for washing
printing blankets. At temperatures below 30 C, Lubasin RF New becomes
water-soluble again.

Lubasin S New

Viscous polymer solution.


Special adhesive for gumming down fabrics composed of synthetic fibres
on screen-printing machines. The fabric can be gummed down directly on
to the printing blanket or on to a cotton back grey. The product becomes
insoluble above 30 C, but becomes water-soluble again on cooling.

Lubasin TP

Thermoplastic adhesive for textile printing. Insoluble in water and must be


diluted with ethyl acetate before use. The adhesive coating is non-adhesive
when cold and can be washed with cold water, even if this is accompanied
by considerable mechanical stress. The adhesive power returns completely
when the coating is warmed.

Ludigol AR

Aqueous solution of inorganic salts.


Mild, anionic oxidizing agent for dyeing with disperse dyes that are sensitive to reduction, especially in fully flooded machines and with PES/CV
blends.

Ludigol Liquid

Oxidizing agent for the textile industry.


Auxiliary for preventing undesirable reduction of reactive dyes and for
reoxidizing dyeings with vat dyes. Prevents deterioration of dyes during
boil-off of coloured bleach goods. Strength relationship of granules to
powder type: 100 : 20. Ludigol Granules are non-dusting.

Lufibrol DK

Anionic mixture of complexing and dispersing substances.


Extracting agent with an additional dispersing effect in the pretreatment of
textiles. Removes impurities from cotton, especially water-hardening substances, and disperses water-insoluble impurities. Therefore prevents the
formation of precipitates during scouring.

Lufibrol E

Combination of organic and inorganic salts.


Extracting agent with a reductive effect for desizing. Lufibrol E solubilizes
all substances liable to interfere with subsequent peroxide bleaching, so
that they can be washed out.

Lufibrol KB

Combination of organic substances.


Non-surface-active auxiliary for the alkaline pretreatment of cellulosic
fibres, particularly grey cotton, alone and in blends with synthetic fibres.
Extracts most of the impurities, thus ensuring maximum absorbency.
Inhibits formation of oxycellulose, so that there is no fibre tendering even
under conditions of high alkali concentrations, long treatment times and
high temperatures.

Lufibrol KE

Combination of organic, non-surface-active substances for extracting


catalytic substances during alkaline boil-off.

Lufibrol MSD

Mixture of dispersing and complexing substances.


Extracting and dispersing agent with stabilizing and anticatalytic effect
in the alkaline peroxide bleach. Improves the degree of whiteness and
absorbency.

Luprimol D

Dicarboxylic acid ester.


Softener for pigment printing. Gives the prints a pleasant, soft handle and
improves the brilliance and depth of shade of the prints, especially in
solvent-free pigment printing. Phthalate-free.

Luprimol SE

Emulsion of a polysiloxane.
Silicone-based handle modifier for solvent-free and solvent-based pigment
printing. Improves the dry rub fastness of the prints and gives them a smooth,
dry handle. Also has a softening effect. Readily emulsifiable in water. Can be
stirred directly into the stock paste and dispersed homogeneously.

Luprimol SIG

Polysiloxane.
Silicone-based auxiliary for pigment printing. Produces a pleasant, dry,
soft, non-tacky handle. Has a positive effect on the fastness properties
especially the dry rub fastness of the prints, and in many cases on the
brilliance.

Luprimol U

Dicarboxylic acid ester.


Softener for pigment printing. Gives the prints a pleasant, soft handle and
improves the brilliance and depth of shade of the prints, especially in
solvent-free pigment printing.

Luprimol VS

Emulsion of silicone-containing and silicone-free softeners.


Softener mixture for pigment printing. Results in prints with a very soft,

Luprintan F-RP

Luprintol MP

Mixture of nonionic, APEO-free emulsifiers.


For solvent-free and low-solvent pigment printing. Allows the amount of
thickener to be reduced, improves the running properties of the print
pastes, and facilitates cleaning of the screens. In automatic paste-mixing
units, Luprintol MP reduces the swelling time of Lutexal HDL.

Luprintol PE New

Arylpolyglycol ether. APEO-free.


Emulsifier for the preparation of emulsion and solvent-free thickenings for
direct, discharge and resist printing with pigments, and for bronze prints.
Print pastes with Luprintol PE New have very good stability and excellent
running properties.

Luprintol SL

Nonionic emulsifier mixture containing a melamine-formaldehyde resin.

Nonionic polyamide derivative.

chalk marks. Ideal for milling and felting wool.

Lusynton EX

Aqueous mixture of polyacid salts with an extractive action. Phosphorusfree, anionic.


Eco-friendly, enzyme-compatible extracting agent for scouring cotton
before the peroxide bleach. Ensures a high degree of whiteness with little
fibre tendering in the peroxide bleach. Optimum removal of catalytic
substances (heavy metals and rust) when used in combination with the
reductive extracting agent Lusynton RED. Here Lusynton EX also acts as
a buffer.
An essential auxiliary for the BASF RedEx BLEACH process.

Lusynton RED

Aqueous mixture of sulfinic acid compounds with complexing agents and


polyacrylate.

Palatex PC

Mixture of modified phosphoric acid esters.


Anionic fibre-lubricating agent and crease inhibitor for dyeing CEL, PES
and their blends. Especially for dyeing with reactive dyes.

Palatex S

Polyamide derivative.
Auxiliary to counter the fixation of running creases in dyeing piece goods
composed of synthetic fibres and blends, and for inhibiting the formation

Palegal SF

Palegal SFD

Levelling agent for dyeing PES fibres under HT conditions. Ensures synchronous exhaustion of disperse dyes, promotes levelling-out in the HT

Perapret F 50

Anionic polyacrylate dispersion.


Thermally crosslinkable finishing agent for woven and knitted fabrics composed of cellulosic fibres and their blends with synthetic fibres. Gives a full
handle, which becomes stiff at higher concentrations. The finish effects are
largely resistant to washing and dry cleaning. Suitable for gumming the
selvedges of knitgoods.

Perapret HVN

Anionic polyacrylate dispersion.


Thermally crosslinkable product for finishing woven and knitted fabrics
composed of cellulosic fibres and their blends with synthetic fibres. Additive in resin finishing. Increases the tear strength and abrasion resistance.
Reduces any tendency of textiles to pilling.

Perapret PU

Anionic polyurethane dispersion.


Suitable as an additive in finishing and as a dyeing binder for woven and
knitted fabrics of all fibre types. Improves the tear strength and abrasion
resistance and reduces the tendency of textiles to pilling. Can be applied
to cotton fabrics to produce a chintz effect that is fast to washing and dry
cleaning.
As a binder in pigment dyeing, Perapret PU is characterized by a very high
pigment binding capacity. Deeper shades can therefore be obtained than
with conventional dyeing binders.

Perapret VA

Nonionic polyvinyl acetate dispersion.


Finishing agent for washfast filling and stiffening effects on woven and
knitted fabrics composed of cellulosic fibres and their blends with synthetic fibres. Suitable for gumming the selvedges of knitgoods. Can be
combined with water-repellents.

Peregal P

Dye-affinitive, oligomeric condensation product.


Non-foaming levelling agent for vat dyes. Improves levelling-out, reduces
the dye-absorption rate and promotes dye penetration.

Persistol E

Cationic, emulsifier-free paraffin wax emulsion containing zirconium.


For water-repellent finishing of textiles composed of natural and synthetic
fibres and their blends. Also suitable for the exhaust process.

Persistol HP

Slightly cationic N-methylol compound of a fatty acid.


Water-repellent for wovens composed of cellulosic fibres and their blends
with synthetic fibres. Gives a full, soft handle. The water-repellent effect is
to a large degree washfast, particularly when the product is combined with
resin finishing agents. Suitable as an extender in oil-repellent finishes with
perfluoro compounds.

Rongalit ST Liquid

Sodium salt of a sulfinic acid derivative.


Reducing and discharge agent for pigment discharge printing.
Rongalit ST Liquid can also be used as a reducing agent for direct printing
with vat dyes, and as a discharge agent for white and coloured discharges
on dischargeable dyeings.

Setamol BL

Condensation product of an aromatic sulfonic acid.


Liquid, non-surface-active dispersing agent and protective colloid used in
dyeing with vat, disperse and naphthol dyes and indigo. Improves the
stability of the dyebaths and ensures that the dyes are well dispersed.

Setamol TX 5110 Liq.

Condensation product of an aromatic sulfonic acid derivative.


Liquid, non-surface-active, anionic dispersing agent used to particular
advantage in dyeing with disperse dyes. Improves the stability of the
dyebaths and promotes dye dispersion. Readily bioeliminable.

Setamol WS

Condensation product of an aromatic sulfonic acid.


Protective colloid in dyeing with vat dyes and indigo, and in Naphthol AS
impregnating baths. Dispersing agent in dyeing acetate, polyamide and
polyester fibres with disperse dyes. Reduces staining of the white ground
when washing off prints with disperse dyes on acetate, triacetate,
polyamide and polyester.

Siligen APE

Slightly cationic quaternary ammonium compound.


For antistatic finishing of natural or synthetic fibres and their blends. No
adverse effect on the fabric handle.

Siligen FA

Nonionic ethoxylation product.


Antimigrant for pigment dyeing or one-bath pigment dyeing and finishing.
Improves the hydrophilic properties and gives a soft handle.

Siligen GL

Nonionic mixture of fatty acid esters.


Softening, smoothing and lustring agent for textile finishing of woven and
knitted fabrics composed of cellulosic fibres and their blends with synthetic fibres. Ideal auxiliary for increasing the lustre in calender finishing
(chintz), and for raising and emerizing.

Siligen HS

Cationic fatty acid ester.


Softener with antistatic effect in continuous and batch processes. For all
fibre types. Gives a very soft handle. Ideal as an additive in resin finishing
of woven and knitted fabrics.

Siligen MSI

Anionic primary emulsion of a polysiloxane.


Additive, softener and smoothing agent for woven and knitted fabrics
composed of cellulosic fibres, wool, synthetic fibres, and their blends with
one another. Gives a smooth handle. Has no adverse effect on the degree
of whiteness at high temperatures. Very good shear stability. Improves the
abrasion resistance, tear strength and sewability. Good wash resistance.
Very little effect on the fastness properties of fabrics dyed with disperse
dyes.

Siligen PW

Nonionic stearylurea derivative.


Reactive, wash-resistant softener for woven and knitted fabrics composed
of cellulosic fibres and their blends with synthetic fibres. Slightly waterrepellent. Combinable with water-repellents and oil-repellents, and causes
no significant reduction in their effects.

Siligen SIA

Nonionic polysiloxane with amino groups.


Additive, softener and smoothing agent for woven and knitted fabrics
composed of cellulosic fibres, wool and synthetic fibres and their blends.
Greater stability to shearing forces than Siligen SIO. Increases the resilience of wovens and improves the elastic recovery of knitgoods. Improves
the tear strength, abrasion resistance and sewability. Gives a very smooth,
soft handle. Very good wash resistance.

Siligen SID

Microemulsion of a polysiloxane with amino groups.

Siligen VN

Nonionic secondary polyethylene dispersion.


Improves the tear strength and abrasion resistance. Gives a smooth handle.
When applied together with crosslinkers, further reduces the tendency to
creasing. The finish effects are very wash-resistant. Ideal for improving the
sewability of knitgoods.

Size CA

Water-soluble polyacrylate size for warp yarns composed of cellulosic


fibres and polyester/cellulosic-fibre blends. Used alone or in combination
with all commercially available native and modified starch products.

Size CB

Water-soluble polyacrylate size for warp yarns composed of cellulosic


fibres, polyester/cellulosic-fibre blends and filament viscose. Used for
staple-fibre yarns, alone or in combination with all commercially available
native and modified starch products. In sizing filament viscose warp yarns,
Size CB is normally applied alone or with some added Textile Wax W.

Size CE

Water-soluble polyacrylate size for warp yarns composed of cellulosic


fibres, polyester/cellulosic-fibre blends, wool and polyester/wool blends,
and for filament viscose and acetate. Used for staple-fibre yarns, alone or
in combination with all commercially available native and modified starch
products. In sizing filament viscose or acetate warp yarns, Size CE is normally applied alone or with some added Textile Wax W. Size CE is insensitive to moisture, bioeliminable, and lends itself to size recovery (preferably
in combination with Size UC-1).

Size CO

Water-soluble polyacrylate size for warp yarns composed of cellulosic


fibres and polyester/cellulosic-fibre blends. Ideal for sizing denim warps.
Used in combination with commercially available native and modified starch
products. Size CO is bioeliminable. Improves the washing-out properties
of the starch in desizing.

Size SF-2

Water-soluble polyacrylate size for warp yarns composed of polyester filament. Applied at room temperature without further additions. Also suitable
for water-jet weaving machines. Bioeliminable. Loomstate fabric whose
warp has been sized with Size SF-2 can be bleached by the cold pad-batch
method.

Size 3243

Water-soluble polyacrylate size for warp yarns composed of polyamide


filament. Used without further additions. Not suitable for water-jet weaving
machines. Bioeliminable.

Size UC-1

Synthetic polyvinyl alcohol copolymer. Water-soluble size for warp yarns


composed of cellulosic fibres, polyester/cellulosic-fibre blends, wool and
polyester/wool blends. Mainly used in combination with commercially available native and modified starch products or with polyacrylates. Size UC-1
is bioeliminable and also lends itself to size recovery (preferably in combination with Size CE).

Size UC-D

Size composed of synthetic and natural polymers with special additives.


For all staple-fibre yarns, particularly denim, cellulosic fibres and cotton
blends. In combination with natural sizes, produces excellent sizing effects
and outstanding weaving properties. Compatible with other BASF sizes.

Size UCF-4

Synthetic copolymer containing polyvinyl alcohol. Size for staple-fibre


yarns composed of cellulosic fibres, polyester/cellulosic blends, wool and
polyester/wool blends.

Texapret AM

Nonionic polyacrylate solution.


Finishing agent for filling and stiffening effects on woven and knitted fabrics
composed of cellulosic fibres, wool and their blends with synthetic fibres.
When applied together with crosslinkers, it yields finish effects that are
largely washproof. Higher concentrations yield a stiff handle. Particularly
high covering power on viscose fabrics.

Textile Wax 3261 New

Partly hydrogenated, hot-meltable, natural wax.


Sizing wax used as an additive in size liquors and for afterwaxing staplefibre yarns. Results in smooth, supple warps. Reduces dusting of warps
and facilitates drying. Bioeliminable.

Textile Wax 3261 P

Natural wax in pellet form, hot-meltable.


Sizing wax used as an additive in size liquors and for afterwaxing sized
and unsized warps. Makes warps smooth and supple. Reduces dusting of
warps and facilitates drying. Bioeliminable.

Textile Wax P

Water-soluble polyether based on glycol.


Additive for size liquors. Improves the running properties of warp yarns by
increasing the flexibility of the size film without diminishing its adhesive
power. Antistatic effect. Bioeliminable.

Textile Wax W

Water-soluble, high-molecular polyether.


Waxy additive to sizing and finishing liquors. Improves the weavability of
yarns, and the suppleness, lustre and smoothness of fabrics. Bioeliminable.

Trilon FE

Combination of complexing agents that are selective for Fe 3+ ions. Applied


whenever there is a risk of yellowing of the material due to iron, e. g. in the
treatment of white or light-coloured fabrics in washing, boiling-off and
mercerizing liquors.

Trilon TA Liquid
Trilon TA Powder

Sodium salt of nitrilotriacetic acid.


For softening process water and preventing the formation of lime soap and
other insoluble lime deposits. Dissolves precipitates of hard-water salts
and other metal compounds. For applying dyes that are sensitive to water
hardness or metal salts. Readily biodegradable. Prevents water-hardening
substances from depositing on printed fabrics during washing-off, thus
resulting in greater brilliance, better fastness and a good handle.

Trilon TB Liquid

Uniperol AC
Uniperol AC High Conc.

Fatty amine ethoxylate in water.


Prescouring agent for yarns and fabrics composed of acetate, triacetate,
polyester or polyamide. Levelling agent in dyeing wool and polyamide with
anionic dyes. Levels out uneven dyeings and brightens faulty dyeings. Also
used in the reductive clearing of dyeings and prints with disperse dyes on
triacetate and polyester.

Uniperol EL

Nonionic ethoxylation product of a vegetable oil.


Versatile dispersing, emulsifying and levelling agent for dyeing and printing
textiles, in particular PA dyeing with disperse dyes. Also suitable as an
emulsifying agent for the preparation of oil-in-water emulsions. Significantly
improves the washing-out properties of the carbonized cellulosic-fibre
component of burn-out prints and acts as a dye-fixing agent in coloured
burn-out prints with disperse dyes.

Uniperol KA

Aqueous surfactant preparation.


Dyeing auxiliary for one-bath dyeing of blends of polyacrylonitrile fibres
with wool, polyamide and cellulosic fibres with cationic and anionic dyes.
Largely prevents mutual precipitation of the two dye classes.

Uniperol O Micropearl

Fatty alcohol polyglycol ether.


Versatile dyeing auxiliary, for example for improving the levelness in dyeing
wool with 1 : 1 metal-complex dyes, or in dyeing cellulosic fibres with
direct dyes. Agent for degreasing and scouring textiles in acid dyebaths.

Vitexol D

Mixture of long-chain alcohols, mineral oil and anionic and nonionic


surfactants.
Highly effective, low-odour antifoam in printing on synthetic fibres, transfer
printing, and printing with vat, reactive and other soluble or dispersible
dyes.

Vitexol K

Mixture of aliphatic hydroxyl compounds.


Prevents foam formation, especially in dyeing knitted and woven fabrics
composed of cellulosic fibres and their blends with vat, reactive and direct
dyes in jet-dyeing machines. It should be added to the liquor at the beginning of the dyeing process. Can also be applied in dyeing wool and
polyamide fibres with acid and metal-complex dyes. Vitexol K is not
recommended for dyebaths containing disperse dyes.

Vitexol PFA

Nonionic mixture of alkoxylates.


Foam suppressant for combined pigment dyeing and finishing. Free of
silicones and phosphoric acid esters. Prevents build-up on pad rollers.

Vitexol R

Higher alcohol.
Foam suppressant for space dyeing of polyamide, polyacrylonitrile and
wool carpet yarns, and for exhaust dyeing of polyester fibres. Particularly
prevents foam formation and should therefore be added to the liquor at
the beginning.

Zetex CCP1: acrylic copolymer. Zetex CCP2: polyaddition product.
