A. Cognitive Objectives (at the end of the lesson,the students will be better able to) :
- to talk about past
- to narrate past events
- to practise ed- past simple
- to express their own opinions
B. Affective Objectives :
- to create a warm atmosphere in order to offer the background for smooth easy conversation
between teacher and students;
- to give students an active role in the process of teaching/learning;
- to help students enjoy speaking a foreign language ;
- to make students confident when speaking English

WARM-UP : Greeting ss, absents.
ACTIVITY 1
AIMS
- to get the students involved into the topic
- to raise expectations and involvement inthe tasks that will follow
- to make students confident when speaking English
PROCEDURE
The teacher asks the ss How was your weekend? What did you
do yesterday? Where were you yerterday? and writes the
questions on the board, and then elicits the answers.
SS write the answers on the board.

AIMS:
- to read for information
- to identify the ed verbs
- to practise the past simple
PROCEDURE

INTERACTION

The teacher asks the ss to open the books, pag. 70. Ex.1. SS
read the words under the pictures. T: Who watched TV
yesterday?Did you see a comedy/cartoon/spors programme,
quiz show?The ss answer.
Ex. 3 The ss listen to the dialog and make a role play.
T: What is the verb in the first/ second/ third/ etc.
question/sentence? What are the letters at the end of the verb?

AIMS:
- to fill in the blanks with correct past simple
- to make up questions about the text
PROCEDURE
Ex.5. The ss have to read the text and fil in the gaps with the
past simple.
One student asks a question from the text to a partener.
The ss take turn in making up the question.
