Quality Assurance/ Trax Installations Limited

2003–2008
Training Manager

Trax Installations Limited provided a service to the transport industry and

worked with large companies such as London Underground, the Go-ahead
Group and the First Group plc.
I returned to the company as a Supervisor where I continued with my
responsibilities of motivating and leading staff, complying with Health &
Safety regulations and completing risk assessments for my team. I was
then promoted to Quality Assurance/Training Manager. I trained all new
employees and then checked that standards were being maintained by on-
site quality checks. I re-trained employees who fell below the required
standard.
I liaised with customers to initially plan the management of their contracts
and then to monitor progress. I managed the flow of paperwork to and
from each customer and prepared it for invoicing. On a daily basis I
allocated employees and vehicles to various locations for day and night
shifts and analysed productivity data. I was responsible for managing the
company fleet including servicing, maintenance and breakdowns. This
role required flexibility due to the ever changing customer needs and staff
fluctuations.

I represented the company dealing with a variety of levels from depot staff
to senior management and provided support to the company’s Sales
Director when carrying out demonstrations for customers.

Service Technician Comovend Limited

2002-200

I was responsible for a variety of beverage and food-product vending

machines in various locations across the south coast. I maintained the
machines, monitored stock levels and re-ordered as required. I undertook
faultfinding and diagnostic routines when faults occurred and kept the
customer informed at all times. I collected monies and topped up change
reservoirs. Management of my own workload, targets and building
relationships with new clients was paramount in this role.

Fitter/Supervisor Trax Installations Limited

1998-2002

Trax Installations offered a service to schools and public buildings to help

them adhere to Regulation 14 requirements. For the first 2 years I
travelled around the country applying a polyester film to windows to
upgrade the safety standard on existing glass. I also applied tinted and
bomb-blast film. The company then redirected its resources to the
transport industry where the film was used as an anti-vandal coating and
applied to bus and rail rolling stock. I learnt the new methods of
application and having been promoted to Supervisor took on the added
responsibilities of arranging for the delivery of materials, equipment and
staff to various customer depots, health and safety at work and quality
control.

managed pub trade. After working as an installer for three years I became
an engineer with responsibilities within the Gala Bingo chain. These
included servicing, maintaining and electro-mechanical fault finding on
fruit machines at 3 separate Gala Bingo halls together with money
collections and top-ups. As with all of my previous positions my ability to
work unsupervised and to a high standard was essential.

Pipe Fitter Ledwood Construction (South) Limited/

1990–1992
CHB Fabrications (South) Limited

previous position with British Gas Southern plc I worked on a contract

a team responsible for installation and servicing of the plant. Extremely
high levels of workmanship and safety were required.
