Top 10 Classic Cocktails
Aside from glasses, you will need some kind of hard object for squashing fruits in the glass (this is called a
muddler). You will also need a cocktail shaker (a large lidded jar will do if you can not get a cocktail shaker), a
tall glass, a stirrer, and a strainer. This is what they look like:

Some things to note about cocktails: a true cocktail will never include milk or cream. Additionally, none of the
cocktails below use vodka as the aim of a cocktail is to enjoy the flavored spirit and vodka is a raw spirit - if
you must have vodka, stick to a a vodka and orange - don’t waste expensive cocktail ingredients by mixing
them with this bland spirit.
One final word of advice: the images in this list are almost all over-garnished - please use the instructions in
the list, not the images as a guide for the finished result. We are trying to make fine drinks, not fruit bowls. Oh
- and I challenge each of you to try at least one of these cocktails this weekend!

10. Tom Collins

1 tablespoon sugar syrup

Juice of 1 medium lemon
3-4 ounces of gin (2 measures)
Stir all of the above together in the Tom Collins glass (see image above)
and add 4 ice-cubes. Fill with soda water, stir again, and serve immediately.
If you use Old Tom Gin (see below), use half the quantity of sugar syrup.
Originally a Tom Collins was made with Old Tom Gin which is a
sweetened type of gin. Unfortunately it is not seen often these days so
we have to substitute regular gin and sugar syrup1. A collins is served in
the tallest glass used for cocktails which is, appropriately, named a Tom
Collins glass. It will normally hold 12-16 ounces.

141
9. Mint Julep
In a tall bar glass (this is not used for serving - just mixing) put 1
tablespoon of sugar syrup, a dozen young mint leaves, and 2 or 3 dashes
of angostura bitters. Bruise the mint gently with a muddler and blend the
whole mix by stirring and pressing slightly (do NOT use a blender). Do
not crush the mint leaves or it will release bitter juices. Pour 2 ounces of
Bourbon over the top.

Remove julep glasses from the refrigerator and fill with crushed ice
(being careful not to touch the glasses with your bare hands. Pour the
julep over the top and stir for a few minutes. Add some more ice and top
with enough Bourbon to fill the glass to 1/4 inch from the top. Insert two
long straws and decorate with sugared mint leaves and serve.

Everyone has their own take on the julep (particularly the mint julep)
so it can be very controversial to present a recipe as the “best”.
Nevertheless, I think after tasting you will agree with this one.

8. Gin Sling
1 teaspoon of sugar syrup
2 teaspoons of lemon juice
3 ounces of gin

Combine the ingredients in a goblet or highball glass. Fill the glass

with chilled soda water. If you wish, you can omit the lemon juice, but I
recommend keeping it. This is now ready to serve.

The generic term sling refers to a drink made of sweetened spirits and
water. You can substitute virtually any spirit for gin in this recipe to produce
a whiskey sling, a rum sling, a brandy sling, etc.

7. El Presidente
1 part French vermouth
3 parts rum
1 dash of grenadine

Put all three ingredients in to an old fashioned glass (an old fashioned
glass is the type of glass you normally serve a whiskey on the rocks
- “old fashioned” here does not mean antique,) with large cubes of ice.
Drop a twist of orange peel (and optionally a cherry) on to the top and
serve. NOTE: many people mistakenly think that grenadine is a raspberry
liqueur - that is not correct. Grenadine is made from pomegranates and
you should not substitute raspberry in this recipe.

This recipe is for the “Cuban” El Presidente. There is also an “American”

El Presidente which includes lemon juice and curacao.

142
6. Daiquiri

1 part sugar syrup

2 parts lime juice
8 parts white rum (Bacardi is best)

Shake all of the above vigorously and strain in to chilled old fashioned or cocktail
glasses.

Interestingly, this drink was originally called a Bacardi, but the Bacardi company
won a copyright suit so the name daiquiri has stuck.

5. Sazerac

1 teaspoon of sugar syrup

3 dashes of bitters
2 - 2.5 ounces whiskey

Fill small old fashioned glasses with ice and set aside to chill.

Stir the above ingredients with large ice cubes until thoroughly chilled.
Empty the old fashioned glasses and swirl a dash of absinthe in each one
- discarding any left over liquid. Strain the liquor into each chilled and
swirled glass. Twist a peel of lemon over each glass and drop it on top as a
garnish. Serve with a small glass of ice water on the side as a chaser.

I have added the Sazerac mainly out of historical interest as it is one of

the earliest (and in fact, may be the earliest cocktail known. Due to the
combination of absinthe and whiskey, it is not to the liking of many people.

4. Margarita

1 part tequila
1 part Cointreau (or any orange liqueur
1 part lime juice

Combine the above ingredients in a small old fashioned glass with

crushed ice and stir to combine. Serve immediately.

The origins of the Margarita are unknown. What is known is that it is not
a drink that is meant to be blended in an electric blender and served like a
slushy!

143
3. Sidecar

1 part cointreau
2 parts lemon juice
8 parts brandy

Shake the above ingredients over ice and strain in to a glass of your choice
(see below).

These are normally served in a sour or delmonico glass, but you can use a
standard cocktail glass. This happens to be my favorite cocktails.

2. Manhattan

1 part Italian vermouth

5 parts whiskey
1 dash angostura

Stir (never shake) the above in a bar glass with ice. Strain in to a cocktail
glass and garnish with a single maraschino cherry - if it does not have a
stem, place it on a toothpick.

The Manhattan is normally made with rye whiskey, but you can substitute
bourbon if you prefer.

1. Martini

1 part Lillet Vermouth (French)

7 parts best quality gin (I recommend Tanqueray No. 10)
This is likely to be the most controversial cocktail on the list as the true
martini has been greatly maligned in film and bars all around the world.
First of all, let us just clarify a few points. A martini is made with gin.
Always. If you use vodka, it is not a “Martini” it is a “Vodka Martini” -
only an ignorant person would ask for a martini and complain if it is not
made from vodka. Using a twist of lemon instead of an olive in a Vodka
Martini, gives you an entirely different drink which is called a Kangaroo.

Alex Bio “A Woman is Born,
Not Made, Regardless of
Original Physical Gender”
- Hi, I’m known on the TG
scene as Alex T’Girl, and I
won the Miss TG Scotland title
in 2004. My new life embraces
the clubbing scene at weekends
where I can, with me having
been to many of the top UK
and Ibiza clubs of late. I love
House/Trance/Electro tunes
and mixes.

146
OK, to get onto my bio
details and past life: I’m now
separated from my former
Wife who was very much my
soul mate, and have two fab
young children from a lovely
17 year marriage who I still
thankfully see on a regular
basis. I’m a full time post-
op Transsexual woman from
Scotland, UK, and had my
gender reasignment and breast
enlargement surgery on the
18th November 2008. I had
minor facial surgery done
recently on my brow ridge, but
have retained my main features
as naturaly born.

147
I’m now into my 40’s, 5’10’ in
height, weight about 155 pounds,
and love everything about being
the woman I should have been
at birth. I’m now working as a
Female Manager within the rather
macho Construction Industry,
which I used to work in as a male.
I have known from as early as
four years old that I was different
from the average boy at School.

148
I remember watching the girls playing
dressing up games in the Wendy
Houses, and very much wanting to join
in, and be one of the girls. The pressure
even at that age to conform and only
do boyish things was so strong, that I
went off on the male track of life which
society in general expects. So I went
through life trying to be as masculine as
I could, and even managed to be picked
half way through the line up of boys for
football rather than being last. This had
been a great achievement for someone
who would rather have been a girl.

149
. I never totally managed to
achieve the full macho male
persona, and had to put up with
the odd gay boy chants, and even
received a beating in the 80’s
for looking too much like a girl
during my New Romantic stage.
I dressed in my Mothers clothes
in secret when ever I had the
chance all through my teenage
years. I always fantasized about
being a girl, and dressing up in
pretty dresses. I even cryed, and
wished before going to sleep at
night that I would be magically
transformed into a girl before I
woke up the next day.

150
The dressing urge did fall
dormant for a few years when I
became very interested in girls
sexually. I never really managed
to get off with girls in the same
way as other guys, because I
think I came across more as
being one of the girls when in
their company. I had also been
told by a previous girlfriend that
I was just too nice, and that we
should just be friends! I never
could work out when seeing a
lovely looking girl whether I
wanted to be with her, or be her?

151
I married the woman I fell in love with, but kept the girly side a secret for a long time until
one day she found my feminine stash by accident. All hell broke loose, and we almost
split up at that time over the find. However, with gender consultant help, a lot of talking
and understanding between both of us, we started to get through life together again. It had
been very hard for us both, but she did allow me to explore my feminine side, although she
took nothing to do with this side of my lifestyle. Sadly, my wife couldn’t take living with a
partner transitioning into another woman, and we agreed to move off to live our own lives.
I’m on a continual feminine journey of discovery, which means I’ve become more feminine
in nature as time passes. I am a sensual girl who didn’t like to show what I still had of my
maleness in the past or my new femaleness. As I said earlier I love dancing all night to
House, Trance, and Electro dance tunes, and have been to the top clubs mostly in the north
of the UK, and Ibiza on holiday with my best friend Steffi. I also love having sexy (but
clean) pics taken of me, and I’m glad to share some of them with you here at Myspace. You
can see more of my pics at the Flickr photos link below. Enjoy. Love, Alex. xxx

Women’s razors: Latest
epilators and shaving systems

165
As with most treatments, what works for you might not work so well for someone
else. I like everyone else started out shaving, basically because it was the only
affordable method back then.
Since then I have tried nearly every hair removal product on the market or in
salons. For me the best one that works is waxing, I still keep a razor handy for
emergencies.
Mandy has received quite a few letters recently asking advice about Epilators,
so she ask, if I could find out the latest information about them. There are as
you can imagine quite a few Epilators on the market and to be honest there isn’t
much difference between them. So I have, on your behalf waded through copious
amounts of articles, spoke to friends and unsuspecting shop assistants to find out
which is the overall best Epilator on the market at this moment in time.
There are more expensive Epilators then the two I have chosen to show you but
they are not any better. So with this in mind I searched for the most effective that
also had a cheaper price tag.
At the end of the day it’s all about management, even with laser treatment hair
can’t be completely eradicated. I doubt just one product is sufficient for keeping
a hairless body 24/7 but with the right tools for the job and some input from
ourselves we can, hopefully keep that nasty hair at bay.
As always if any of you have any questions about this subject or any other beauty
related topic then please send your questions to Mandy.
I have also added some information about the humble razor, as it has on so many
occasions saved many embarrassing situations and doesn’t need electric or batteries
to work.

166
Women’s razors v men’s razors
As well as testing women’s razors in a recent study, women trialists were ask to test men’s
razors from leading brands such as Gillette, Wilkinson Sword and Bic and own brands from
Boots and Tesco. Of 24 women, 67% rated a men’s razor as their favourite or equal with a
woman’s razor. The Gillette Fusion Power was popular; users liked the grip but were put off
by the cost.

Wilkinson Sword Quattro Bikini trimmer February 2009

A close shave with Wilkinson Sword’s bikini trimmer

Wilkinson Sword’s new women’s razor includes a bikini trimmer, meaning that no hairy bits
need to be left untouched.

A 2-in-1 shaving system from Wilkinson Sword

Wilkinson Sword’s new Quattro 2-in-1 women’s Bikini razor combines a traditional blade
with an extra trimmer for tackling your bikini line.
It’s larger than most handheld razors, partly as it houses a AAA battery (provided), for
powering the bikini trimmer. Its turquoise and white plastic casing has a soft-touch texture,
making it comfortable to hold.
The bikini trimmer is billed as an alternative to painful wax and daunting epilators. For the
beginner the design is pleasing to the eye and isn’t too bad to control. The trimmer comprises
two rows of sharp metal teeth covered by a plastic cap which can be slid into three positions
or removed entirely. The idea is that you use the trimmer for ‘styling’, using the power button
to activate the jaws.

167
The traditional razor head has four blades flanked by thick conditioning strips which are
designed to reduce irritation. The razor glides smoothly over legs and gives a good, close
shave. The shaving sensation feels less obvious than cheaper razors, the razor gliding over
your legs without you feeling that it’s removing hair.
The large shaving head is slightly bulky for underarm use but the final shave was acceptable
and it’s easy to move the head.
The package includes a glossy ‘bikini guide’ booklet and a plastic hanger for storing the
device. The unit costs £8.99 and replacement heads are £4.88 for three.
The Bikini version is part of the wider Quattro series, whose original razor was ranked
third out of five women’s shaving systems we tested for our last full test.
Close shave
Success depends partly on your confidence and dexterity. The trimmer works but the
buzzing noise is a bit off-putting and you need to keep pressing the button down while
manoeuvring the head. This takes practice and concentration. Be careful if you remove the
plastic covering it can lead to the skin being nicked by holding the trimmer at the wrong
angle.
Pros: Handy to have two options in one unit, replaceable heads are better for the
environment
Cons: Holding down the power button can feel awkward.

Epilator
Panasonic wet and dry ES2067 epilator October 2008

Panasonic wet/dry epilator

This innovative new epilator is meant to be less painful to use than rival models. Not only
does the Panasonic ES2067 use three spinning discs to whisk out unwanted hair, but it is
also suitable for using wet or dry.
Each of the three small discs on the main epilating head spin and rotate in a different
direction as well as move up and down independently to follow the contours of your skin.
This multi-directional action is intended to catch hairs quickly and reduce the amount of
time spent epilating.
Although the ES2067 is quite good at minimising pain, it seemed too take longer to use than
the other epilators. The area also needed to be gone over several times than is comfortable in
order to remove all the hairs. Unfortunately this isn’t unique in the wet/dry range, I think
it’s just a case of your skin getting used to it.
The main epilating head worked better when used dry. When it has been tried in the shower,
the conclusion was it was tricky to spot leg hairs through the soap suds and it took so long
that the epilating discs needed re-soaping repeatedly.
It was a similar story trying to use the epilator’s bikini line/underarm head on the underarm
area. It was reported ok but slow when used dry; when used wet it took so long that it was
easier swapping back to the main head.
Pros: Versatile (you can use it in the bath where it may cause less pain), slightly less painful
than some others.
Cons: It’s expensive, excessive effort needed to remove all the hairs, confusing instructions
and fiddly buttons for changing the heads

169
Philips Satinelle Ice HP6513 Epilator
January 2009

Philips Satinelle Ice Premium HP6513 Epilator £65

The Satinelle Ice Premium epilator has an icy cooler to numb your skin as it plucks hair and
also massages as you epilate.
The main epilating head with cooler on was used on the lower leg and was less painful after
use than an epilator without a cooler.
After one go, only a few hairs were left and these were easily removed at a second attempt.
This model isn’t cordless so you need to use it near a plug socket. You have to hold the epilator
in a certain way to keep the cooler in contact with your skin. A well illustrated quick-start
guide shows how to do this, but it was found that it took a bit of getting used to. This would
also be the same if you’re new to epilating or doing the back of your legs.
Most hairs were removed when using light pressure and moderate speed (as instructed) but this
will depend on your preference and how thick your hair is.
There is one speed for bony areas or those with little hair (such as ankles) and another for
larger, hairier areas.
The epilator comes with a silver mesh bag, sensitive-area cap (for underarms/bikini areas),
massaging mitt and cleaning brush.
Pros: The ice cooler soothed skin after use
Cons: It was tricky to hold at first

10 Surprising Facts About
the Fourth of July

Everyone loves Independence Day, the quintessential American holiday, full of parades,
picnics, and ... surprising facts? You bet! Be the life of the party--share a few of these
tasty nuggets of knowledge with your fellow picnickers this year.

1. Independence Day commemorates the formal adoption of the

Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. However, it was not
declared a legal holiday until 1941.

2. Fireworks were made in China as early as the 11th

century. The Chinese used their pyrotechnic mixtures
for war rockets and explosives.

3. Uncle Sam was first popularized during the War of

1812, when the term appeared on supply containers.
Believe it or not, the U. S. Congress didn’t adopt him
as a national symbol until 1961.

181
4. There are many precise rules for taking care of the American flag.
And speaking of flag traditions, we’re sorry to report that contrary to
legend, historical research has failed to confirm that Betsy Ross sewed
the first flag.

5. Not all members of the Continental Congress

supported a formal Declaration of Independence,
but those who did were passionate about it. One
representative rode 80 miles by horseback to reach
Philadelphia and break a tie in support of independence.

6. The first two versions of the Liberty Bell were

defective and had to be melted down and recast. The
third version rang every Fourth of July from 1778 to
1835, when, according to tradition, it cracked as it
was being tolled for the death of Chief Justice John
Marshall.

7. The American national anthem, the “Star-Spangled Banner,” is set

to the tune of an English drinking song (”To Anacreon in Heaven”).

8. The iron framework of the Statue of Liberty was devised

by French engineer Alexandre-Gustave Eiffel, who also
built the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

9. The patriotic poem “America the Beautiful” was published on July 4,

1895 by Wellesley College professor Katharine Lee Bates.

10. Father of the country and architect of independence George

Washington held his first public office at the tender age of 17. He
continued in public service until his death in 1799.

I do so hate the term ‘Agony Aunt’, to me it
lends itself to a matronly figure tut-tutting at
you and unleashing their ‘wisdom’ in a one-
way torrent.
So, this isn’t an Agony Aunt column, this is you,

TG
chewing the fat with a few friends, sounding
MANDY out your buddies over a glass or three of
Chardonney.
I have had the great fortune over the years to
have had such a diverse group of friends, that if
I ever had a problem I knew there was SOME-
ONE out there I could ask....this has ranged
from the mundane ( what lippy goes with that
top? ) to the more complex like..... “ i’ve just
taken a PVC dress out the packet and it looks
like an inner-tube!!! how on earth do I get it

TS
shiny??!! “ ( I do not lie!!!!! )
So, now I felt that it might be an idea to get a
NICOLA few friends together and see if we might be able
to help you iron out the creases in your lives.
and I do mean ANY creases!! to this end I
thought it might pay to have a small spectrum

NO-ONE can ( I even have a few suitable guys

185
Q Hi gang,
My problem may seem a silly one, but one
that is confusing the hell out of me! What am I? I
am married with 2 children and have always had
a fetish for women’s underwear, even to the point of
wearing some under my work clothes, but now I want
to do more and dress fully, with wig, make-up etc.
The problem is, does that mean I am a TG?
TV, CD or what? I do get turned on , but I don’t think
that is the main reason I dress, neither do I like men
in that way, can you please help?
Tammy

A Dear Tammy,

Does it really matter what label you want to put on it?

You are you and no one else. You are your own person.
I suggest that you be 100% honest with yourself in
what it does for you and why it makes you feel the
way you do. Once you have worked that out then you
need to find self acceptance. That one is a lot more
tricky and for many it can take years. Many have a
deep set guilt complex about these feelings and needs.
They end up with the cycles of buying stuff then guilt
taking over and purging the whole lot swearing never
to do it again. They come to realise that probably wont
happen. Its part of who they are.

186
As you are finding these desires develop and you want to try
different things and dress more fully. Given time it may reach a
stage where you want to go out in public. Its all perfectly natural.
If you think about it, that is what life is about, learning. You
may eventually feel the need to let your wife know. Some are
accepting , some are not and worst case scenario’s the marriage
ends.

I’d say take it easy and learn about yourself. However please
bear in mind any consequences if your wife/family find out
and the potential repercussions. You have to be prepared for that
eventuality.

A This month lynn is taking a much earned ( she told

me to say that!) sabatical, She’ll be back next issue x

A Well, first of all, whats in a name? you are what

you are, and I think you are beginning to move on
in your evolution.
When I first began I was, what i would consider to
be a ‘CD/TV’. Dressing was a turn on , something
new and exciting, but as the years have gone I have
moved on from there and dress because its ‘me’. Not
for any sexual reason but because it is who I am,
thats when I started naming myself a TG.

187
It sounds to me that that is where you are beginning to get. You
have experienced the excitement of discovery and now want to
push the boundaries a bit more, nothing wrong with that, its part
of your evolution.

My only concern , if any, is the fact that you dont mention

if your partner knows about your Trans-self. This is also a large
factor in what you can comfortably do and what is taboo in your
relationship.

if she knows, and is obviously still with you , then she is at least
a lil tolerant and you have to find a compromise. Ask how she
feels, discuss your feelings but above all listen to hers too, you
are a partnership after all.

If she does not know, then you must really begin to face the fact
that you really should tell her, if you dont then your ‘evolution’
will be harder to cover up and harder to deal with if you are ‘found
out’.

At the end of the day, being Trans can be confusing, but should
never be frightening, its just you being the real you after all
warts and all.

Good luck , and , enjoy!

Swim Safely
• Learn to swim
• Swim near a lifeguard.
• Swim in an even line with the shore if you want to swim
a long way.
• Follow lifeguard directions.
• If you are in trouble, call or wave for help.
• Don’t swim if the beach is closed.
Ÿ Be sun safe
• Use sunscreen with minimum of SPF 15.
• Wear a floppy hat, sunglasses, and a shirt
• Avoid the strongest sun from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Drink plenty of water and avoid overheating. Watch for
trash and other signs of pollution. Report any dangers
you see to lifeguards or other beach workers. Teach
others how to stay safe at the beach

aches
Don’t:
D ont’s
• Swim alone.
• Swim after a heavy rain.
• Dive into water you don’t know — remember “first time,
feet first.”
• Swim near trash.
• Swim near pollution sources such as pipes, outfalls and
runoff ditches.
• Bring glass containers at the beach — broken glass and
bare feet don’t mix.
• Light beach fires except where signs say they are
allowed.
• Walk on the edge of coastal bluffs; they can collapse and
hurt you.
• Turn your back to the ocean — you never know when a
large wave is coming.
• Deliberately get a tan.
• Go to a tanning parlour before heading to the beach.

191
Now the boring crappy stuff’s outta the way, here’s the more important Do’s and
Don’ts

I hit the beach on Saturday and it was hot, searingly hot, and HUMID, like wear
your scuba mask humid. But when you’re at the beach, that’s just how you like it.
That’s how I like it anyway.

I’m a Pro Beach Goer. And as a PBG, I’d like to share some do’s and don’ts with
you. It’s my duty to make sure your trip is as awesomely excellent as possible. Not
that any trip to the beach isn’t going to be great ... I mean, you’re at the BEACH! ...
but these tips will just make it better for everyone.

DO bring a spare ponytail holder, as

not all of us can be a sexy beach tart with perfectly
sun/salt tossled locks.

DON’T linger after

romping in the waves, or else that towel hogging
punk friend of yours will push you off of your
own beach mat and hijack your iPod.

192
DO flirt with the locals. They
know all of the do’s and don’ts of beach life.
....

DO win stuffed animals

from the many carnival games up and
down the beach front. And coordinate
them with your outfit.

DON’T
wear your daughter’s clothing.

Follow these DO’s and

DON’T’s and you will have
as great a time as I did! In
my official capacity as a
PBG, I guarantee it!

Hororscope

230
Aries
Family:
Some serious set backs are possible early in the week with personal illness, fatigue, minor injury and conflict
is possible, especially with Libra, Virgo, Sagittarius, Scorpio or Capricorn members, in-laws of any sign and a
cross section of ‘elders.’ Spending is on the rise near the 2/3rd and a drive to ‘improve, clear up, stream line and
upgrade is strong the 3rd to 5th, which may add to ‘spending,’ out of necessity. Fun gatherings, visitors and/or
travel are indicated for the 5th to 7th.

Love:
Romance has strong emotional trends this week, especially the 3rd to 5th and more so where paired to Taurus,
Gemini, Scorpio, Cancer or Libra. Leo, Sagittarius and other Ram matches may require patience and/or ‘a lot of
energy to manage,’ this week for a variety of reasons. Single Rams hit hot hook ups near the day time hours of
the 2nd and evenings of the 1st and 6th. Read the weekly partner horoscope...

Friendship:
A friend ‘over extending themselves’ for one reason or another may ‘pass duty’ onto you. It’s your call whether
to engage or not based on the ‘strengths’ and ‘history’ of the friendship involved. A ‘fast trip’ or mad dash to
serve or save another is likely near the 2nd and 5th.

Career:
You show good to excellent progress days the 2nd and 4th but a ‘risky move,’ taking a chance or pushing an
envelope situation near the 5th can undo progress for your whole week or even back as far as March or last Fall.
Dealing with authority figures appears stressful for a variety of reason near the 3rd to 5th and MAY relate to the
‘mistake’ or ‘misstep,’ indicated for the 5th.

Finances:
Fair only
This week’s scenario is highlighted by changes in your love life. Your defenses are low and you may be in
danger of falling into a web that a past lover has spun for you. Beware, this will only lead to heartache, so be
strong and resist the pull. You may be asking yourself some deep and meaningful questions about the future.
You are sure to seek out the most difficult as well as the most rewarding path to take. Somehow, you and money
just don’t seem to get on at the moment, and you may be living on a shoestring budget. It’s time to find a way to
increase your revenues by using your creative talents. Don’t waste time counting pennies this week. Look at the
overall cost of things and try to balance your budget.

231
Taurus
Family:
The drain on your budget this week can be almost ‘staggering’ for some Bulls, especially those with Libra,
Gemini, Scorpio, Cancer or other Bull members; the more of these signs in your family, the more debt expands
‘exponentially.’ Upgrades to household needs may run heavy with electronics, appliances, vehicle related
expense, travel, education and health care heading the list. A long talk near the 6th may be a ‘discipline issue’
that requires ‘creative’ discrimination for correction or punishment lessons.

Love:
This is NOT the time to set out challenging vibes but to appear very cooperative, invested and eager to please,
especially near the 2nd and 5th when partners may be needy, restless or even appear ‘critical’ of your actions.
Listen to complaints with an open mind and be willing to assign a degree of compassion and understanding,
even for comments you know to be ‘born out of their circumstances’ and not necessarily a ‘real’ issue. Read the
weekly partner horoscope...

Friendship:
Demands on your time, talents and even money may ‘go on the rise,’ this week near the 2nd to 4th, especially
for Scorpio, Aries, Cancer, Libra or Gemini pals. To have a friend, you must first BE a friend. Don’t try to ‘buy’
your way out of obligations this week but rather invest the ‘effort’ from your own creative self. Maybe learning
to ‘manage,’ your time and relationships is one of your karmic lessons this week.

Career:
Hard work the 1st appears to pay off as quickly as the 2nd, especially in being ‘granted,’ your most cherished
wishes and in finding good results from any form of ‘co venture,’ where the input of another dictates financial
or power success. Getting the nod on financing is likely the 3/4th. Fatigue and minor injury are possible the 4/
5th with common cold, sinus, digestive issues, including ‘salad bar flu,’ female problems for gal Bulls and paper
cuts, stub toes and burns heading the list and causing ‘work delays.’

Finances:
Back and forth, up and down all week.
This week’s scenario is highlighted by your need to work & play hard. You seem to be running late on
everything you do this week, as a result you don’t have any time to spare. This could be because you are either
too stressed or too distracted to make good use of your time, so slow down, and you’ll get more things done.
Don’t let this romantically calm period get you down, in fact, this is a welcome break which will allow you to
enjoy some free time alone to recover from emotional pressure. You sometimes find it hard to find companions
who share your interests and ideas, but there are plenty of people who want to listen to you this week. Even if
others disagree with your concepts, you will have the chance to shine in a social situation.

232
Gemini
Family:
A ‘long stretch’ of investing time, effort, money, patience and heart is likely the 1st to 3rd, followed by another
‘stint’ the 4th to 6th that requires heaps of spending and ‘added tolerance,’ especially revolving around the
‘behavior’ of others with in-laws, children, elders, Scorpio, Cancer, Taurus and Sagittarius heading the list. An
unexpected expense near the 6/7th may be a big family event or some kind of ‘entertainment,’ especially hosting
visitors.

Love:
Romance holds some powerful emotional potential this week with long talks, strong views, switch ups and
‘risk taking ventures,’ that could backfire near the 4th to 6th. Don’t SAY it if you don’t MEAN it. Having to
‘take it back,’ and scramble to fix it is highly likely this week. You know what happens when you allow issues
to ‘accumulate’ and you ‘blow’ at the wrong person, at the wrong time or in the wrong way. Read the weekly
partner horoscope...

Friendship:
A friend may BE the one to help keep you from sliding ‘over the edge’ this week in your behavior or actions.
Listen for buzz phrases like “I only want to help,” or “I’ve noticed...” They may help to save your job, your love
life or your reputation. Avoid any form of ‘kill the messenger’ energy as well. Appear very ‘approachable,’ for
your own best good.

Career:
You appear to have to invest heavily and that can mean both time AND money this week, especially near the
heavier hitting days of the 2nd and 4/5th. Dealing with power people is likely too as you scramble to make
things ‘more easy’ for yourself in some way the 1st and 3rd. Try to sense when you are ‘stepping on toes,’ as
your sense of ‘office politics,’ is NOT the best this week.

Finances:
Fair to good
This week’s scenario is highlighted by a new creative idea or project can spring up from nowhere. Even if the
thought sounds foolish at first, it’s time to follow through on your dreams. Let the thoughts come through,
impractical as they may seem. Imagination will course you through now. Your greatest potential is to present
information in a fascinating new package. Once you get though with it, you’ll be able to create a good
reputation. One that is bound to gain positive attention from all concerned.

233
Cancer
Family:
Demands on your time and patience seem to run very high throughout the week with the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th
heading the list. Expending effort on cleaning or upgrading is likely near the 3rd and 7th and may involve big
ticket items, especially for youth. Travel ‘as a group’ may add to expense or it may be repairs or vehicles I see,
but the cost of ‘getting from one place to another’ is hiked for some reason

Love:
Here the Crab needs to use great caution! Appearing to be cooperative and serve the ‘best interests of a
partner,’ are essential, especially over issues or discussions near the 2nd, 4th and 6th or from the events of
them and TOTALLY where matched to Scorpio, Gemini, Taurus, Sagittarius or Virgo. Smile nice, appear both
agreeable and approachable and find a way to the ‘middle ground,’ on ALL issues or risk an ‘or else,’ situation.
This comes with my highest warning ***. Read the weekly partner horoscope..

Friendship:
Friends serve you best this week when they are supportive and honest and do NOT intrude into your personal,
emotional or romantic life. IF you need insight or advice, seek a pro and keep the ‘coffee talk,’ with anyone
who MAY have an agenda or be biased, ‘limited.’

Career:
Coworkers may be very helpful this week, especially in goal reaching and fostering projects for you. Keep
your personal life OUT of the work scene every DAY. “Personal” means ONE, not many. Make power
moves, requests or ask for favors the 2nd for best results and keep a low profile the 5th, especially if visiting
dignitaries or brass are around. A disappointment or vulnerability is showing for the evening hours of the 5th.

Finances:
Fair at best
This week’s scenario is highlighted by a change in mood & perhaps a change of attitude that you feel. It’s easy
to be disillusioned about the progress you’ve made if you continue to look at things in a negative light. You
tend to put more pressure on yourself than others do. You may assume a lot more than you should. This may
tend to make you more defensive about projects that you have been procrastinating about. Realize that things
that you’ve committed to, should take priority. You need to organize your time in order to achieve any of these
goals. Time and financial budgets are meaningless without an energy budget. Invite others to help you to reach
your goals. Allow their spark & energy to spur your own. There are certain challenges that you shouldn’t have
to face alone.

234
Leo
Family:
Sharing joy, especially with or over youth is likely near the 1st to 3rd. Good news of some kind is likely and
may relate to a ‘financial wind fall,’ for or because of a member, especially in educational issues, such as
scholarships, grants, loans or in the termination of a long time debt or expense. Remodeling expense or expense
from upgrades is likely near the 5th to 7th.

Love:
Romance does very well early in the week with hot love connections likely for single Lions that may involve
Libra, Gemini, Aries, Scorpio, Cancer or other Lions, especially near the 2nd and again the 4th. Traditional
‘weekend hours,’ this time around are not cooperative and MAY even hold a ‘bad connection’ made between the
5th and 7th. Read the weekly partner horoscope...

Friendship:
Spend time with pals this weekend if you are single and ‘looking.’ Find common interests, sports, hobbies or
lend a hand with their projects. Your stars say the week day hours are great to mix and meet if you are looking
to expand your circle of friends and/or love interests but NOT the weekend days.

Career:
Get as much done on your agreeable days as you can the 2nd and 4th and avoid structuring important meetings
or requests on the POORLY cooperative days of the 3rd and 5th. An outright ‘loss’ is possible the 5th, especially
in dealings with Capricorn, Virgo, Aries, Gemini, other Lions or any form of ‘gambling’ institution/s, especially
‘speculative investing.’ Be clear about any kind of ‘arrangements’ where the cooperation and/or participation of
another dictates success outcomes.

Finances:
Good
This week’s scenario is highlighted by travel, promotional & marketing plans. Communication with people
in authority may not provide the desired results. You may be faced with a situation that could present major
problems. You may feel angry, but patience is what will bring you results. Be patient, but at the same time insist
on honesty from others. Once you commence to communicate effectively, you’ll see things from a different
perspective. Creative ideas may come pouring forth. If you can catch some enthusiasm, you have a good chance
to do something constructive with it. Get all the information you need before jumping into action. Listen to your
intuitive feelings & realize that recent happenings were inevitable. This is particularly true in your professional
life

235
Virgo
Family:
Duty may seem to just ‘tower over you’ this week as you chase down details, knock mundane tasks off like
dominos and chase your tail all over town and back. The ‘load,’ can become more obvious by the 3/4th and
the cooperation rate from members sags as they ‘pile on more,’ in some cases. By the 5th the routine may be
‘grinding on you,’ so bad, it’s time to ‘take them to task,’ with a family meeting. Remain calm and place the
duty where it belongs. Virgos who miss this one will have a lucky week.

Love:
Romance may only SEEM to fail you slightly this week and it could be because you are failing to take action
yourself by communicating the right message. If you have a need, ASK. If you have a problem, discuss and
if you hit either of these, organize your thoughts, keep your vocal tones tender and use common sense when
you open a dialogue. Taking a chance, issuing ultimatums or ‘rolling the dice of love,’ is strictly forbidden this
week, especially near the 5th. Read the weekly partner horoscope...

Friendship:
Do NOT allow friends to ‘goat’ you into taking foolish chances with your job or love life, especially well
meaning pals like Capricorn, Aries, Gemini or Leo. Even if they don’t ‘say a word,’ is possible that their
accomplishments can maneuver you into action, especially through envy or jealousy.

Career:
Being assigned a great deal this week IS likely but the good news is that if you manage to stagger to the finish
line, even under the load, you may enhance your reputation or ‘status,’ so greatly that a pay off near as soon as
the 3rd, 26th or as far out as later Aug into Sept may leave you ‘sitting pretty.’ Expansion of territory is likely
for some Virgos this week, especially those in the food, service, travel, manufacturing, communications or
publishing industries.

Finances:
Fair to good
This week’s scenario is highlighted by strong feelings that may obscure your vision. Dwelling on your personal
problems will only distract you from the task at hand. Your greatest inspiration comes from taking everything
personally. You have a lot to gain by maintaining control of your emotions. An affair of the heart could move
toward heartbreak. You still have time to save it, but do you really want to? You will have to be accountable for
your actions. Choose your words wisely, as the consequences of what you say will be great. Approach others
with love as they work through their own discomfort. If a break from routine would add to the healing, cancel
your scheduled plans for late in the week & do something different.
236
Libra
Family:
Much may be asked and/or expected of you this week and the things laid at your doorstep include being the
family nurse, taxi driver, councilor, advocate, referee and chief cook and bottle washer. House, pet or baby
sitting duties may also be brought to you, especially near the 1st, 3rd, and 5th. Spending appears to go on
the rise sharply the 5th to 7th as if some ‘big family event,’ was tapping the budget. This may be a ‘once in a
lifetime,’ situation and you’ll be tempted to enhance all the ‘fringe/trimming’ extras.

Love:
Romance may require more negotiation and effort this week than is normal for you. Find that ‘middle ground,’
and CLING to it. Capricorn, Virgo, Scorpio, Pisces and Sagittarius relationships may need a bit more ‘investing’
and tolerance than those of other signs. Read the weekly partner horoscope...

Friendship:
Time to ‘call in favors,’ especially near the 2nd and 4th when time may become a premium. Rather than ‘spend,’
it may be wise to borrow, farm out or delegate out for favors in some cases. Having it ‘ideal,’ is one thing but
doing it ‘all’ and ‘within,’ reason is ideal too!

Career:
Your mantra this week may have to be ‘pace, balance and moderation.’ What you are unable to accomplish the
1st may wash into the 2nd and be ‘cleared up nicely,’ only to find the 3rd has more excess and less cooperation
than did the 1st AND 2nd. A ‘scramble’ of some kind may have to fill the 4th and wash over into the 5th. Be
very, very tactful around power people the 5th. Some signs are prone to foolish mistakes, unreasonable actions
and poor management. You are ‘in a sea of...,’ alone the 5th.

Finances:
Actually good but costly.
This week’s scenario is highlighted by some decisive moments as well as surprises in store for you, particularly
in relation to your personal plans. Personal change is definite. You have a tendency to be overly generous and
forget that you have a budget to respect. Your desire to help others is admirable, but it could lead you into the
red. Your ambitious nature may sometimes attract criticism, but there is no doubt about it. Your efforts have
been worthwhile and you are about to reach a new level of success. You can arrange travel this week, as you
seek out adventure and discovery. Your travels bring back happy memories and help you understand a past
mistake

237
Scorpio
Family:
Soft peddle an issue the 1st or risk it complicating up on you as soon as the 4/5th. Clear the clutter out of your
life the 3/4th or risk a mistake or a ‘pile up,’ of some kind as soon as the 3/4th itself, the 6th or as far out as
early July. Trim any ‘fluff,’ from your budget, cut back even on some of the necessary spending by limiting
‘amounts,’ and try to find ‘creative solutions’ to spending concerning the demands of the 5th to 7th, which may
be some kind of trip or family event.

Love:
Romance may demand your full attention near the 3rd to 5th, especially where paired to Aries, Capricorn, other
Scorpios, Taurus or Gemini. A long talk may be required to ‘set boundaries,’ or to ‘explain,’ a situation before
‘taking it out of context,’ become a problem as soon as the 5th or near the 7th and/or 12th, especially over
recently ‘unresolved issues.’ Single Stingers may get lucky near the 3/4th during the evenings and all day the
5th but ‘look at the bottom line,’ investment before proceeding. Read the weekly partner horoscope...

Friendship:
Friends may try to give you a ‘heads up,’ on something this week and it could be one of those ‘flies right over
your head’ situations where you realize later WHAT they were trying to say and you wished they would have
tried harder or gotten confirmation. Let your best pals ‘know,’ you may need something ‘made more clear.’

Career:
Diligence may pay off early in the week if you spend a lot of time in set up or ‘structuring,’ a project that may
see the ‘tumblers’ click into place as soon as the 2nd or 4th or as far out as early July. A piece of useful info or
a call from a ‘hot connection’ is either or both likely near the 2nd to 4th, especially on the 3rd. Streamline your
office and work space and ‘clear cutter’ to avoid making mistakes.

Finances:
Good and improving.
This week’s scenario is highlighted by family pressure and responsibilities. You must learn to practice patience
this week, and avoid flying off the handle until you know exactly what is happening. You may have a tendency
to blame others and this could work against you. Some family members could become unbearable and it may
be time to ask them to back off. Once you learn to be firm with them, you’ll find that they respect your wishes.
Be careful, as you are sufficiently distracted to run into trouble if you don’t pay attention to what you are
doing. Domestic accidents can be avoided if you watch your step. Some career choices have to be made before
an important opportunity passes you by. Enough hesitating - take a better look at the situation and things will
become clearer than ever.

238
Sagittarius
Family:
A long or important talk may be required near the 1st to get members ‘on the same page,’ or to insure
‘cooperation’ both with AND ‘between,’ members, especially if Gemini, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Virgo, Pisces or
Aquarius personalities ‘fill’ your family out. Keep your word to members near the 5th or risk a HUGE ‘or else,’
especially with in-laws, parents, Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces, Aquarius or Virgo.

Love:
Romance does well this week, especially for Archers ‘single and looking,’ with promising candidates surfacing
during the day time on the 2nd and 4th and the evenings of the 2nd, 3rd, and 6th. Paired Sags may find long or
‘philosophical’ talks are required for ‘maintenance,’ purposes. A small cross section of you may hit ‘termination’
threats this week near the 5th to 7th. Read the weekly partner horoscope...

Friendship:
Breaking your word to a friend this week is possible, especially near the later hours of the 1st and/or 5th. This
can tarnish your standing and may lead to the loss of a friend or the loss of ‘quality’ within the friendship for a
time. “Honor”, appears to become an issue this week. Semper Fi

Career:
Your image, your word, your bond and your ‘history’ may all fall under scrutiny this week, especially near the
5th. Make sure you are ‘golden,’ on all accounts, with special emphases on both the ‘follow through,’ and the
‘integrity’ of your actions. Do not ‘put your hand’ to any dealings you would not want the world to see. Be
mindful of your associations as well and separate yourself quickly from any ‘hint’ of impropriety in any form.

Finances:
Good
This week’s scenario is highlighted by some interesting happenings in your domestic & personal life, that
could include change of residence or marital status. Events this week, have made it impossible to allow things
to remain as they are. The demands put on you may seem unfair, perhaps even a little manipulative. You may
feel a little resentful. Allow changes to sink in, don’t assume the worst in others. Try your best to treat them
fairly. Your swift action will only strengthen your case. What may have began as a real burden to you, may now
become a real asset. Don’t undersell yourself, realize your worth & be proud of what you have achieved. Others
will be more than willing to help you to prepare for the future. Realize that you don’t really need others to make
things happen. Your strength will return once you gain your confidence back.

239
Capricorn
Family:
Get as much done the 1st as you can since cooperation and reliability begin to fade quickly the 2/3rd, especially
in matters of travel, timing and financial output. Cooperation is best the 4th, especially from spouse and in-laws.
Finances improve and getting the ‘nod,’ on real estate or loans is likely. Losses from gambling or taking any
kind of ‘chance’ can be steep near the 5th unless you are ‘practical’ and cautious.

Love:
Romance may BE the ‘loss’ that is indicated near the 5th, especially if you ‘take a chance,’ and try some kind of
‘emotional gamble,’ with a relationship status. This is especially likely if paired to Virgo, Gemini, Aries, other
Caps or Leo. Give serious thought to your future the 7th and be willing to have frank and revealing discussions.
Read the weekly partner horoscope...

Friendship:
Friendship may require some high level ‘emotional risk taking,’ this week near the 1st and again near the 5th to
maintain a relationship status you value. The outcome is promising near the 1st but may not be near the 5th if
you are dealing with a Scorpio, Cancer, Virgo or other Capricorn pal. You may have to choose ‘doing the right
thing,’ and ‘integrity’ over what you’d rather do to ‘keep,’ the friendship. If this is the case, perhaps it is not the
friendship you thought it was.

Career:
You do show good results this week, especially where the ‘written word,’ is a lager part of deals and progress.
While cooperation from coworkers is not impressive the 2nd to 4th, you can still do a lot of other types of tasks
that are more ‘self driven.’ Power and money people are most cooperative the 4th, especially in meetings. Do
NOT ‘take any chances’ the afternoon hours of the 5th.

Finances:
Improving nicely
This week’s scenario is highlighted by an upsurge of your positive energy flow. Recently you have felt as if
something was holding you back, this week, everything will click. Don’t let underlying discord ruin your mood
any more than necessary. Consider calling a powerful friend with a good ear. A small luxury will make you feel
enormously wealthy. Giving yourself a reason to smile doesn’t have to break the bank. You deserve whatever
you want. If you don’t see it, ask for it. Once you get past the initial stumbling blocks, you’ll realize that you
were assuming other’s expectations of you. Lift your head out of the details to see whether the big picture has
changed since you last looked. Your good mood will be highly contagious, others will respond positively. It’s
still possible to maintain harmony as long as you’re paying attention.

240
Aquarius
Family:
You may find cooperation is high early in the week, especially with Gemini, Libra, Aries, Sagittarius, Virgo
and Pisces members. Helpful and supportive words of encouragement are likely, along with those who actually
‘volunteer’ may help and thereby ‘refresh’ your drive and psyche. Cherished moments appear to liter the week
but may not be realized until they are viewed in retrospect. A mistake near the 5th could be costly in terms of
money or effort and can be avoided by using a willingness to be ‘emotionally honest,’ especially with Scorpio,
Capricorn, Cancer or any member over money.

Love:
Some of you Totters appear to hit some high level pay dirt this week as upgrades in current status along with
‘new candidates’ are both likely; paired or single. Aries, Libra, Taurus, Pisces, Virgo and Sagittarius are
included in both upgrades and new connections. A small ‘set back,’ or delay is possible the 5th and may be ‘a
misunderstanding’ that can be easily cleared up with patience and tact. Read the weekly partner horoscope...

Friendship:
Friends appear useful and helpful this week, especially in career favors, networking and assisting with pet
projects where you either need a hand or some kind of ‘money saving contribution.’ It can be far better to
borrow than buy this week.

Career:
Expansion is likely this week along with both promotion and good cooperation, especially for Juggers in
any kind of ‘multi-level’ employment or corporate situation. Those who function on commission or are self
employed also appear to do well as the ‘first breath of improvement’ in the economy is highly likely to show up
in your career field this week. Being ‘called back to work,’ is also likely along with finding new positions. It’ a
‘good news week,’ for a lot of Totters.

Finances:
About to improve but may ‘take money to make money.’
This week’s scenario is highlighted by co-operation & co-existence. You know you need to let go of the past.
An old friend can turn you on to a new experience. It could seem a little strange at first, but with time you could
get used to it. In the professional domain you could find a supporter, mentor or colleague who boosts your
confidence and presents you with an interesting challenge. It’s one of those situations where less may be more.
Listen to your intuition, don’t allow others to deter your progress.

241
Pisces
Family:
Fatigue, minor illness and outright ‘apathy’ may dull your accomplishments and drive the 1st but you need
to ‘pull out fast,’ since you show a very busy and interesting 2/3rd. Demands on your time, effort and pocket
book appear on the rise with very good results, especially in solving problems, filling need and enhancing the
‘quality’ of family life. In-laws, elders and health care may become an area that needs attention the 4/5th. A long
talk near the 6th appears to be over money or spending decisions. Travel or visitors appear likely the 7th.

Love:
Romance has a strong emotional overtone this week from the 3rd all the way to the 7th. There may be separate
issues that ‘domino’ into each other in what appears to be a ‘string’ of emotional processing. Indications are for
‘ideal improvement,’ and upgrading in status is highly likely along with outright proposals, especially if paired
to Libra, Aries, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius. Read the weekly partner horoscope...

Friendship:
Friends swing from helpful to needy this week as we reach the 5th. Libra, Aries, Taurus and Cancer appear to be
the helpful ones and Sagittarius, Virgo, Scorpio and Capricorn may become the ‘needy.’

Career:
Strong trends of improvement are likely the 1st to 3rd along with high rates of cooperation and accomplishment/
s, especially for Fish in government jobs, who have been laid off, are self employed or who work in the health
care, food, communications or transportation industries. A mistake near the later hours of the 5th may be
someone else’s but get ‘pinned’ on you nonetheless if you are not careful and ‘keep records.’

Finances:
Fair to good
This week’s scenario is highlighted by your ability to see past recent delays & set-backs. Embrace the talents of
someone with whom you have nothing else in common. It may be a very interesting treat. Allow someone else
make the moves and see where they lead to. You can learn some amazing things and have fun while learning.
Little mistakes are easier to correct before their consequences grow too big. You’re still at the stage where
you can have fun with this. It would be in your best interest to keep as low to the ground as possible. Don’t
be alarmed if someone calls you a stick in the mud. You know what you like, you have your routine and you
shouldn’t let anyone push you off course. Realize that you are closer to your goals than you thought.

go here and recommend to all my
friends. Small, independent shops
like this are a credit to the area
and deserve to succeed. Both the
nothing-too-much-trouble service
and the mind-boggling range of
costumes knock the socks off the
faceless high street chains and
grim shopping mall fodder”

La Contessa Transgender Club

Open every 1st Tuesday of the month. 8 till late.

COME DRESSED AS

YOU ARE, BE WHO YOU WANT TO BE,

LEAVE AS YOU CAME!

I know that there are mixed feelings being an ‘In the

closet’ tgirl/crossdresser - desire, fear, excitement,
guilt, trepidation to name but a few - I have helped
quite a few girls to finally come to terms with who
they are so I do understand.

To step outside of your comfort zone, to endeavour

to go clubbing dressed, to meet other tgirls to finally
venture into the transgender community, are all
daunting prospects, with La Contessa you can do it!

I offer an opportunity for this to come to fruition.

La Contessa club is aimed totally at girls like

We all love to shop, but as we all know , from personal experience, some are…
er…friendlier than others. Here’s a few of the better ones, as recommended by
you.

This is my own personal recommendation. The girls the Notting Hill branch were superb.
They couldn’t be friendlier, more welcoming, and professional too. They have a fantastic
range of wigs of all lengths , colours and prices , and I can not recommend this branch of
stores enough

“ Hi Mandy, I have a review for you, Wigsrus ltd in Southport. Recently been there
for a new style they are great. Hugs Julie Hi Ladies, After asking around for some
advice on wigs I plucked up the courage to go and try a new style and I decided to
have it fitted. I took the advise of an Angel and looked up www.wigsrusltd.com at
Southport. This meant going out en femme for the first time and having a stranger
see me as Julie. I made an appointment with Jennie and ventured out into the world
as Julie. Jennie is a fantastic understanding lady; she puts you at ease straight away.
All appointments are one to one and you can try as many styles on as you like. Jennie
will give you advise on styles and colour. After you have chosen your new hair,
Jennie will do the final styling and trim if required. The service was excellent and
Jennie was wonderful, highly recommended. I felt so good and confident With my
new style I had a walk around Southport, then decided to drive over to the Trafford
centre and had a walk around the shops not bad for my first day out.”
Hugs Julie
“ www.frillys.co.uk is a friendly dressing service in Droylsden a town about
4miles from the centre and gay village in Manchester. The owner is called Julie and
she now offers self catering accommodation above her shop.
HOTELS- I use Travelodge and the special offers of £10 & £26 a night per room are
great value. I have never had any problems at these hotels. The only problem I have
had at an hotel was at a gay hotel in Torquay where I got a really frosty welcome to
say the least.
MAKEUP- I don’t use Dermablend because it is expensive and difficult to apply so I
use a Boots No17 cover stick or a Rimmel cover stick both are on sale at about £2.50.

“And Now,
The end is near….."
S o, there you have it, THE biggest
Narcisse in the history of...of.....erm...
well, Narcisse, I suppose,
Many thanks for everybodys support
in bringing this issue to you, as always
its only your hard work that makes it
great.
A few points to make, firstly I am well
aware that you are unable to download
Narcisse at present. The website bods have
assured me that this is a temporary thing
and with luck, soon solved.
Also, as you know, the website is still
in the production stage, but please have
patience, it will be worth it in the end.
So, whats next? well, I’m going to have a
lil rest, dont know about you but I feel the
need to catch some rays, don my flip-
flops and have a rest. Thats why some
of the more eagle-eyed of you may
have noticed that this edition will
last you all the way till the end
of August. Theres lots to read
and also gives YOU all the
more time to get writing!

274
You all know the drill, you have 3
months to write, pose and tick the boxes
in all the polls I’ll set, let me know
whats important to you, and if you
want to see it in the next issue ...
....then why not write it?

I hope you all have a fantastic summer

Be safe and look after eachother

Many Hugs

Mandy xxx
