Experience the beauty of New England Fall foliage from the unique perspective of a
vintage train car. The Bulletin and our sponsors are excited to bring to you this rare
opportunity to ride the rails through the picturesque villages and towns of Eastern
Connecticut.
Parking:
Free parking is available at the Bulletin office and the Viaduct Lot off of Route
12-2. If you park in the Viaduct Lot you must cross the tracks to The Bulletin
before 9:00 a.m.

Location:
The Bulletin 10 Railroad Place, Norwich
Boarding:
9:15 a.m.: Begin boarding the train at The Bulletin, 10 Railroad Place, Norwich
(the former Norwich Train Station.) Passengers must be on the train by 9:45
a.m.**

10:00 a.m. Train departs Norwich and heads north along the scenic Shetucket
River through Windham County to Putnam.

11:15 a.m. Arrival in Downtown Putnam. Here, passengers can get off and
explore the shops and restaurants in Putnam or remain on the train for an extended
ride north to Oxford, Mass., and back. Return back to Putnam at 2:00 p.m.

3:00 p.m. begin boarding the train in Putnam.

Passengers must be on the train by 3:15 p.m.

3:30 p.m. Train departs Putnam back to Norwich.

4:45 p.m. Arrival back to Norwich

Tickets are available at The Bulletin office (Monday-Friday, 8a.m.-4p.m), or call the
Bulletin marketing department, at (860) 425-4310. The attached mail-in form is for
COACH SEATS ONLY.

All tickets must be picked up at the Bulletin office or held on will call the day of the
event. All tickets on will call must be prepaid.

FYI
The Dining Car offers lunch fare including hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, snacks and
beverages. All passengers have access to the lunch counter, but seating in the dining car
is by ticket only. Passengers are welcome to pack their own lunch, as well.
For those getting off the train in Putnam, the website discoverputnam.com has a
comprehensive list of dining, shopping and recreation options.
An informational brochure, including a description of key sites along the trip, will be
distributed prior to boarding the train October 10.

Fall is a beautiful time of year, but we do live in New England so please remember to
wear/pack outerwear and footwear appropriate for the season.

and tickets are nonrefundable. No alcoholic beverages or smoking aboard the train. The
Bulletin and its sponsors are not responsible for any lost/stolen items.

Directions to The Bulletin:

From the south, follow I-395 N to CT-82 E/Salem Tpke in Norwich. Take exit 80 from
I-395 N. Continue on CT-82E. Drive to Main St.
Turn right onto CT-82 E/Salem Tpke. Turn right onto water St. Continue onto Chelsea
Harbor Dr. Continue onto Courthouse square. Continue onto Main St. Take right onto
Railroad place (directly across from the large Chelsea Groton Bank, downtown location)
From the North, follow I-395 S to Taftville-Occum Rd. in Norwich. Take exit 83. Take
Norwich Ave. to N. Main St. Merge onto Taftville-Occum Rd. Continue on Norwich
Ave, Continue onto Boswell Ave. Slight left onto N. Main St. Take right onto Railroad
Place (directly across from large Chelsea Groton Bank, downtown location)
