Now, two weeks later, I have essentially no back pain. I can move and walk and breathe again
without hurting. My right leg is much better. It is less stiff, less swollen. I also have much more
energy.
Today, in Dr. Z's office, I noticed one other major improvement: As long as I can remember I have
had bad balance problems. Whenever I close my eyes while standing I would immediately fall
backwards. I tried this today - no problem at all. I closed my eyes and simply stood there. I did not
lose my balance.
After so many years this is hard to believe - what breathing better air every day can do.

Dr. Z's comments - What is muscle tone
Great letter from a local client.
Whenever a patient/client walks into my office - one of the first things I check is muscle tone in each
shoulder, each hip, the fingers of each hand and the big toe of each foot.
Does this person have good muscle tone? Is it the same from side to side. Is there a difference
between the shoulder and the hip, the fingers and the toes?
Why? - This allows me to perform a quick check of the clients neurological status.
What is muscle tone?
Muscle tone is the base tension of the muscle fibers.
Think of a guitar - you have to tighten each string to a certain tension to get a certain tone so the
guitar will sound good when you play it.
The brain stem - the part of the brain that controls all automatic functions such as heart rate, blood
pressure, digestion, breathing rate, etc. - sends signals to all muscle fibres at a certain rate to create
this basic tension or muscle tone. We have no conscious control over muscle tone. This muscle tone
allows our body to function as a whole. Optimum muscle tone allows for proper movement and joint
function.
Decreased muscle tone often reflects decreased brain/brain stem function. Decreased brain output
can be due to a variety of factors:
low oxygen supply to brain cellsunbalanced blood sugar from poor dietdecreased blood flow to brain
cells which leads to low oxygen and low sugartop of page
Your brain governs all aspects of who you are - your thoughts, your moods, your hearing, your vision,
your taste, your blood pressure, your balance,........
To have good balance you must have a good and happy brain and nervous system.
It is your brain that registers/perceives pain.
A good brain also inhibits pain perception. The better your brain functions - the less pain you
perceive.
Your brain cells/neurons never sleep, they are always talking electrically to millions of other
neurons.
They must have a constant and plentiful supply of energy to do that. If they don't your brain cells
become depressed, you may become depressed and develop all kinds of "neurological" symptoms,
including balance problems.
Q: How does your neuron make energy?
A: From oxygen and balanced blood sugar/glucose, and with the help of CoQ10.
Balanced blood sugar comes from proper diet and good digestive function Oxygen/O2 comes from
the air you breathe. Our air is much worse now and more and more polluted. Most people don't
breathe deeply. As you age, you lose some of your capacity to utilize oxygen/O2, approx. 1% per year
from the age of 20.With increasing age, oxygen deficiency becomes more an issueWith increasing
age, CoQ10 levels inside the neurons decline. With increasing age, we all tend to experience
decreasing life energy With increasing age, we all tend to experience increasing health issues
Take my client Clyde, 71 years old. He had experienced decades of "bad" balance problems. But that
was not why he came to see me. He sought my help for crippling and excruciating pain.
He had thrown out his back - but there was no specific incidence. That in itself is always a red flag there is most always some underlying weakness that leads to these debilitating "back problems".
Through my training and clinical experience I was able to determine that his brain was not at all
happy - he had very little muscle tone.
His brain was much happier after he finished breathing Oxygen Enriched Air from our Personal
Portable Oxygen Bar for approximately five minutes. His muscle tone had improved very much so.
I told Clyde that my chiropractic adjustments would probably not hold for very long without
adequate muscle tone. And indeed, he reported getting better for a few hours and then getting
worse again, especially the following morning. During the third visit to my office he decided to
purchase the Personal Portable Oxygen Bar so he could use it daily at home. He has done this ever
since.
Now, after two weeks, Clyde is essentially pain free. He has very good muscle tone. Coincidentally
he decided to close his eyes while standing in front of me.
He was totally stable - to his surprise and mine.
Why? His brain function had improved dramatically. His brain is a much happier brain.
How? He had changed just one single thing - he had added breathing Oxygen Enriched Air from his
Personal Portable Oxygen Bar several times a day.
