- Saving First Hole Angle Values

Quick Start Guide is a simplfied version of the full Operators Manual designed for fast reference on the fly.
Read and familiarize yourself with the full Operators Manuals instructions and information for the proper operation
of the DTI Angleblaster system.

NOTE: Screen Buttons are pressure sensitive.

SAVING TEMPLATE HOLE ANGLE VALUES

1.

POSITION the drill over your first surveyed

or marked hole position.

2.

PRESS the DRILL SCREEN button,

MAIN MENU (fig. 1).

The first hole (combined) angle

values, are the template for any
repeating holes.

When you are satisfied with the the DUMP &

RING values as shown in the ACTUAL
Column ... PRESS the SET button (fig. 2).

Note: Actual Values for Heading, Ring

and Dump are copied to SET and the
SET button turns inactive (fig. 3).

Inactive SET button is a fail safe feature to

prevent accidental deletion of saved values.

Move to your next hole.

Note: Drill can approach the next hole marker
from any direction, or even leave the
worksite, return and resume the same
drill pattern at a later date with the same
angle values as the first hole.

Green Arrows indicate

TARGET values

Once the mast is in position, PRESS TARGET

(fig. 4)

Pressing the Target button retrieves the SET

angle values and adjusts the values for the
next hole.
Note: The green indicator arrows appear (fig. 4)
The green arrows represent the TARGET
values and are stationary.

Align the Red Indicator Arrows (ACTUAL) over

the Green (TARGET) by moving the Ring and
Dump of the mast (fig. 5).

Over Green Arrows (TARGET)

If AZIMUTH of the mast has changed while

aligning the ACTUAL with the TARGET PRESS TARGET again (fig. 5). Everytime the
TARGET button is pressed, the TARGET is
refreshed.

DTI AngleBlasters system checks and adjusts

value changes due to movement.
Re-adjust the Masts Ring & Dump to
align with TARGET.
NOTE: For a more hands-free feature, activate
AUTO TRACK which tracks the
TARGET every second, allowing you
to more closely monitor the progress of
aligning the ACTUAL and TARGET
together.
Refer to the full version of Operators Manual
AUTO TRACK for further details.

Once the ACTUAL and TARGET line up you

can drill your second hole. Repeat Steps 4, 5,
and 6 for any consecutive holes.
