Brief on Result for 2nd Phase Examination for DR of C/M (Automobile, Chemical, Civil, Clothing,
Electronics, IT, Leather, Metallurgy, Non-Technical (Stores) & Non-technical (OTS) )
Refer Exams Notice: Notice of Recruitment of Direct Recruitment Chargeman (Non-Gazetted Group B) in

1.0 Two Lists (Discipline-wise) enclosed:

Merit List of (i.e. List of candidates qualified as per benchmark Marks) (in order of Marks)
Provisional Select List (i.e. List of candidates selected as per vacancies notified) (in order of marks)
Merit List and Provisional Select List are one and the same for Civil, Chemical, Metallurgy, Clothing
and Leather Trades
1.1 Merit List
Merit List for DR-CM is the List of all Candidates who have secured benchmark marks. Benchmark
Mark is different for different disciplines. The same is indicated in the footer of the Merit List, in
case it is different from Provisional Select List.
All the Candidates are not being called for Documents Verification and Counselling at NADP. Only
Candidates appearing in the Provisional Select List (i.e. List of Candidates selected as per vacancies
notified) are being called for the Documents Verification and Counselling at NADP.
Appearing in the Merit List does not entitle candidates for any Appointment, as only Top Ranked
Ones based on vacancies notified have been shortlisted. They appear in the Provisional Select List.
Only when Candidates appearing in the Provisional Select List are found ineligible or fail to Join,
balance Candidates from the Merit List may be considered as per extant rules.
For this, Candidates need not contact us. Any such new Additional Provisional Select List would be
notified in ofb.gov.in at suitable time in future.
1.2 Provisional Select List
Candidates exactly equal to number of Vacancies notified appear in the Provisional Select List.

These candidates will be getting an Offer of Appointment if found suitable as per qualifying criteria.
Thus, they should not get carried away by any Touts promising you for Appointment in Ord Fy or
choice posting in Ord Fy.
This List has been prepared Discipline and Category-wise in order of marks. Counselling for PH
candidates will be done first against PH vacancies.
All the Candidates in this List shall be called to NADP for Documents Verification and Counselling
between 9.6.2015 to 12.6.2015. Counselling Schedule is as follows:

Candidates will be sent Intimation by e-mail in their email id given in the Application Form by
20.5.2015.
In case, Candidates of NT Trades do not receive Intimation letter by e-mail by 25.5.2015, they may
contact NADP Help Line Number 07104-220075, 07104-220095. They may send a Fax to 07104220062 or mail to exams.ofb@nic.in.
NB: Both the above lists are Provisional subject to verification of Documents & meeting the qualifying
criteria (as defined in the Notice of the Examination) and Court Judgments in this regard.
1.3 Evaluation Methodology:
Evaluation has been done based on Master Answer Key prepared. The same has been arrived by a
Panel of Experts. Using scanners, OMR has been evaluated.
Negative Marking scheme was followed as notified in the Notice of Examination i.e. i/4th of the mark
allotted in case of multiple answers/ wrong answer.
No marks were awarded to Ambiguous Questions. There was no negative marking for ambiguous
questions.
Considering alternative options and % of ambiguous questions varying across different options in some trades,
a scaling factor has been applied to bring both the options at par, as explained below.

For Examples, a candidate in Metallurgy had the option of writing Part D or Part E. In Part D, there was one
ambiguous question. Thus, he attempted his best out of 79 Questions in Part D. Thus, his score need to be
extrapolated for 80 Questions. The scaling factor of 1.0127(80/79) has been applied to do the same.
Similarly, his competitor candidate opted for Part E. In Part E, there were 5 ambiguous questions. Thus, he
attempted his best out of 75 Questions in Part E .Thus, his score from 75 Questions need to be extrapolated
for 80 Questions. The scaling factor of 1.067 (80/75) has been applied to do the same.

As per Syllabus of the Exams, candidate of NT (OTS) has to answer Industrial Management. Candidate of NT
(Stores) has to answer Store Management. In case candidate of NT (Stores) has filled up answers for Industrial
Management, his answers were not evaluated for that portion. Similarly, if candidate of NT (OTS) has filled up
answers for Stores Management, his answers were not evaluated for that portion.

been prepared applying reservations.
2.0 What Candidate can do?
2.1 Name not appearing in Merit List or Provisional Select List
These candidates, whose names do not appear either in Merit List or Provisional Select List have not
qualified. Thus, they should not waste their precious time and energy in any communication with OFB/
NADP. He/ She can get your marks from the website through a search option to be available on 20.5.2015.
2.2. Name appearing in Merit List, but not in Provisional Select List:
These Candidates may wait, till we find some Drop-Outs in the Provisional Select List or some Candidates do
not join after issuance of Appointment Order.
2.3 Name appearing in Provisional Select List:
Please check up your e-mail for Intimation Letter. If you do not receive by 20.5.2015, please send a Fax to
07104-220062 or mail to exams.ofb@nic.in. Date of Verification and Counselling for all candidates
appearing in the Provisional Select List is enclosed. Reporting Time for F/N session is 9.00 AM. Reporting
Time for A/N Session is 1.30 PM. Sample Intimation Letter is also posted in website. The same can be
downloaded for early information on what to do. However, you must be present at NADP with the
personalised intimation letter sent to you by e-mail along with I Card as proof of your identity.
Please plan your Journey as per the Intimation Letter. Please fill up a Biodata Form (Downloadable from
site) and carry along with you when you come for Counselling and Documents Verification.
Please fill up Attestation Form (Downloadable from site) in three copies and carry along with you when you
come for Counselling and Documents Verification. In case of Reserved Category Candidates, Please ensure
that Caste Certificate is as per Proforma given in the Notice for Exams. Format of Certificate is also posted in
website.
Please ensure that you fulfil all the eligibility criteria as per Notice of Examination or else your candidature
may be rejected, since result is provisional.

In case, you have been provisionally selected for Civil and you have a Diploma or Degree in Other than Civil l
Engg (say, Construction Engineering), you have to get an Equivalence Certificate (that your Diploma/ Degree
is equivalent to Civil ) from the Institution from where you have passed out (Proforma enclosed in Biodata
Form).
No Request for change of Date of Counselling will be entertained, as Vacancies notified would be filled up on
Merit cum Seniority, subject to your fulfilling qualifying criteria. In case, you do not possess all the
Certificates in the desired Proforma, you will carry Risk of being made ineligible.
Please report to NADP as per date and time given in the Intimation Letter.
Candidates can revise their choice of Posting during the Counselling phase. They will be required to exercise
their choice as per Order of Marks, as and when their names are called. Candidates may look at the vacancy
position sent in the Intimation Letter (Extract from Notice of Advertisement and corrigendum issued
thereafter). Candidates should make up their mind about choices before coming to NADP.
Counselling & Document Verification will be done based on Merit cum choice, for allotment of factory.
Candidates selected against Reserved Category will only be considered for Reserved Vacancies. No Factory
Allotment will be done or Fy. Allotment, if done, will be cancelled in case Candidate fails to meet the qualifying
criteria during Document Verification.
