How to apply for student visa in New Zealand from the

Philippines

Paper based or Online

The Filipino passport holder when intending to study in New Zealand and

wanting to apply for a visa as a student in New Zealand has 2 options to apply.
A. To submit application via an online application for a student visa in New
Zealand
1. The applicant must create a RealMe Log in account & Immigration NZ log in
at the portal on the INZ website (please keep your username and password)
2. Complete the online application form for a student visa online
3. Get the clear scan copies of your supporting documents in pdf
4 Provide your passport size photograph
5. Upload your supporting documents online
6. Pay the visa application fee online via Master or Credit card
7.Submit your original passport to the embassy, as they may need to see the
original passport before issuing the visa label or e-visa, in case your application
has been approved. But if you are an applicant which do not need to send your
passport when making an online application & may eligible to receive an e-visa

This is good only for a person (single) application for student visa in New

Zealand, if there are additional partner or dependent children included in the


application, it would have been advisable to complete and submit the
application manually (a paper based application) unless, INZ advices to
accommodate the same online application with the additional family members
included in the application for student visa in New Zealand.
B. To submit an application via paper based application for student visa in New
Zealand

1 . The applicant must download the latest version of Student Visa Application
INZ1012 where the applicant can fill out directly the information from the
application form and later print it, and affix his/her signatures and paste the
passport size photograph or if you need to be guided in completing the student

reference

2. Gather all the supporting documents needed in line with your student visa

Passport

Letter of offer from the provider in New Zealand

Evidence of payment on visa application fee
Evidence of funds to cover the tuition fee cost for the entire study in New
Zealand
Evidence that you have a credible sufficient funds to cover living cost in New
Zealand amounting to NZ$ 15,000 per study year or prorated of NZ$1,250 per
month.

If you have sponsor/s to support on your application, a document showing your

relationship to him as i.e., friend, relative, or immediate family members to sponsor and
support your application for student visa in New Zealand
Sponsor/s eligibility - a part from the proof of relationship, sponsor/s should also
demonstrate their claim financially as to support your application is genuine and able to
meet financial obligations, and that the funds is sufficient. Or a Financial undertaking
Your Educational qualifications, such as your Diploma, Transcript of records, PRC
license
Your work certificates past and present, training certificates
Your NBI Certificate
