LANGUAGE ACQUISITION – 212

WEEK 2

What I learnt was that we can’t stay reliant to any particular view about
language acquision,insofar as what we say true today may turn out to be
wrong tomorrow.Every approach has its right aspects from their own
perspective and we can’t judge or criticize any thought as completely
wrong.

I had no diffıculty in understanding the lesson.I have already had some
idea about the aproaches and thougths and the the lesson reinforced my
knowledge,I think.

I suppose I need to focus more on what makes Pıaget and Vygotsky to
disagree to each other’ thoughts about learning.Now ı suppose I belive in
Vygotsky’ view more but not to make injustice to Piaget I should get more
informatıon about the two approach and observing the people around me I
must come up with the subjects on which Piaget or Vygotsky is right or
wrong.

I believe I may make use of Vygotsky’ view.I believe he is quite right when
I think every child or adult who are peers may not have the same quantity
of knowledge collection. For exaple,when we examine the learners in the
same class, at the same age an deven from the same environment we can
see that they share lots of different
Styles of behavior; some are more hardworking ,extrawort social,
civilizied , on the other hand others may be short of these things But
according to Piaget all learners at the same stage of development should
also have the same charecteristics as far as I understand but if it were to
happen, everyone would be the copy of each other.
