HISTORY
INDUSTRIAS MAYO was founded in 1997. Its inception is the result of a project
for an alternative crop to the coca leaf by encouraging its replacement for cacao
beans. This project is developed in San Martin Region, considered the Peruvian
Amazon heart and includes the provinces of Lamas, Tocache, Picota, Mariscal
Caceres, Bellavista, the homonymous province of San Martin, among others.
Since the beginning, one of the main goals of Orquidea Chocolates is, and will
be, to achieve that this industry allows a sustainable development to our
community.

RESPONSABILIDAD SOCIAL
Esta iniciativa tiene como base nuestro compromiso con las comunidades nativas de la zona.
Trabajamos con aproximadamente 120 agricultores que pertenecen a 5 comunidades de las
provincias de Lamas, El Dorado, Picota, entre otras. Les brindamos contante asesora y
acompaamiento tanto en las practicas agrcolas as como en los conocimientos tcnicos acerca
de los manejos de la cosecha. Este esfuerzo conjunto les ha permitido lograr un desarrollo
sostenible, mejorando sus rendimientos y estndares para brindarnos un cacao de calidad
premium. Industrias Mayo busca consolidarse hacia el futuro como una empresa cuyos valores
estn basados en el apoyo y responsabilidad social con el agricultor y le permitan desarrollar, de
esta manera, chocolates de mxima calidad, que satisfagan plenamente a nuestros
consumidores y clientes a nivel nacional e internacional.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
This initiative is based on our commitment with the native communities in the area. Currently we
co-work with approximately 120 farmers from 5 different communities located in Lamas, El Dorado,
Picota, among others. We provide permanent counseling and assistance both during agricultural
practices as well as on technical knowledge related to harvest management. This joint effort has
allowed them achieving sustainable development and improving their performance and standards
to supply premium quality cacao. Industrias Mayo aims to consolidate in the future as a company
with values based on social support and responsibility with the farmers and to allow them
developing, in this manner, top quality chocolates that will fully satisfy our consumers and clients at
national and international level.

FBRICA
Nuestra planta de procesamiento est situada en la cuidad de Tarapoto. Esta ubicacin
estrategica nos permite el contacto directo y el trabajo conjunto con las comunidades
productoras de cacao, as como el retorno de los xitos logrados con las ventas. Nuestros
procesos de fabricacin cuentan con un riguroso control de calidad. Gracias a ste y a la
trazabilidad de nuestra materia prima es que podemos garantizar los mas altos estndares
nacionales e internacionales, desde la cosecha del cacao hasta la distribucin de nuestro

Our processing plant is located in the city of Tarapoto. This strategic location allows direct contact
and joint work with the cacao producing communities, as well as the return of achieved successes
through sales. Our manufacturing processes are implemented with strict quality control. Thanks to
this and to the traceability of our raw materials, we can guarantee that the highest national and
