Closure Boundaries

Closures in the vicinity of the Cathedral of St. Matthew will be limited to Rhode Island Avenue, 17th Street, M Street and Connecticut Avenue.

o Rhode Island Avenue NW will be closed to all traffic between 17 Street and Connecticut Avenue/M Street from 6 AM to 3 PM.
o The following routes will experience intermittent closures between the hours of 11 AM and 1 PM:

17 Street NW between N Street and M Street.
th
M Street NW between 17 Street and Connecticut Avenue.
th
Connecticut Avenue NW between Desales Street and 18 Street.

Vehicles reaching the full closure of Rhode Island Avenue NW will be directed to turn left onto 17th Street and then right onto M Street.

Vehicles may also avoid the full and intermittent closures in the vicinity of the Cathedral by diverting onto northbound Massachusetts Avenue
at Scott Circle.
