Overview
1Troubleshooting
The SONOLINE G20 system is equipped with the following tests, indicators, and
error/warning messages to aid in system diagnostics:
LED indicators
The system is equipped with LEDs located on the I/O panel and the individual PCBs.
These LEDs indicate the state of the system, displaying whether different system
functions have passed or failed a test. An amber lit LED indicates a failure status and a
green lit LED indicates a passing status. LEDs on the PCB indicate the power status.
Troubleshooting Flowcharts
Use the troubleshooting flow charts as a guide to determine the functionality of the G20
system.

When an error occurs an error message or warning are displayed on the screen. Application errors and warnings are logged for later review from a Service menu. The error log
can be exported to removable media. The format of the exported log is text-delineated.
If the operating temperature of the G20 system reaches its maximum value, a forced
power down will occur and all data will be saved.
If an unsupported transducer is plugged in to one of the transducer ports a message displays stating that the transducer is incompatible with the G20 system.
Service Error Log
Access the Service Error Log to aid in troubleshooting system problems. To access the
error log perform the following steps:
1. Press F6; the Preset screen is displayed.
2. Select the Next Screen arrow; located at the bottom of the Presets menu.
