When I was in 4th semester, I joined an organization called Himpunan Mahasiswa
Teknik Kimia. I had a role as Head Division of External Relation Division, in External
Relation, Society and Alumni Department, Himpunan Mahasiswa Teknik Kimia. I had
responsibilities to enhanced the communication system, such as website and social
media improvement. And also giving admission and dismissal for the delegates. At
that time our website still use older joomla version which is hard to make
improvement such as the menu, information, and its display. Then, I thought, we
need to make decision, whether the website type need to be changed or not. If the
changed was done, all of the data in the website will be lost, so that we need to
back up all data which is not a few. If we dont change it, in the future it will become
more problem. It might be tough to change it that time, but it was the best decision.
I suggested the plan to make the changing. First, we need to make an efective
team, it was consisting of 6 people including me. This team had responsibilities to
arrange what feature we need in the new website, back up the data, looking for the
expert, and accomodate ideas from other department. Short story, after we
disscused it with the expert, we started the changing process. And as the result, my
team and I succesfully upgrading our homepage to the new version (Joomla 2.5.14).
During my college time, I always want to be an assistant in one of my college
laboratories. Because, being an assistant, I hope that I can learn new knowledge,
develop new experiences, and share what I have to others. When there were
opportunity or vacancy for being assistant, I always apply in it. I had been applied 3
times in total. I always failed until my second time. In my second experience, I
succeed until final interview. And then I realized that, there must be something
wrong on my interview. After that, I applied again for the third times, in the last
laboratory named Unit Operation Laboratory. I have to be confident. I believe that
the failure never last forever. If we work harder, believe in our self, and always pray
to God. You will make it. So, I studied harder than before, I prepared myself more for
the test. The first test was ability test, I explained the material as good as I can, at

that time I got Filtration as material. Although I was still nerveous I can expalin well.
The next test was, interview. I had learned from my failure before, I should restrain
my self, give the answar quickly and clear. And then as the result, I really made one
of my dreams come true.
I had been almost one and half years working as a Laboratory Assistant. I had an
authority for Drying material. In my opinion, I suit with those material, because
Drying was also being subject in my research project. During being an assistant, my
assistant partners often gave me suggestion about my performance. I thought, I
had contributing enough for the laboratory, such as giving revisition in practicum
method, and the material itself.
