Laying Of Hands - The Healers Touch


Introduction

To heal the physical body and the auric field we must understand the relationship
between the aura, chakras, and the physical body. The healers touch is an ability that
we can all learn and as wingmaker we should know how to take care of our energy
system and physical body.
When healing we can use the energies of prana, and light energy but we can also use
colours in healing and if you like you can use the meridian of meridian earth in
healing. Meridian energies are mainly used in organ healing and the lunar meridian
can be used in healing with the ears, eyes and the sixth chakra and you can use the
solar meridian when working with the mind or brain.

Healers Touch - Exercise


Opening Exercise

Step One
Turn off all disturbances in the surrounding area and sit in a quiet place, or lie down
on the bed. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths concentrate on your
breathing. Now visualize or feel the white universal cosmic energy entering your
head through the crown chakra. Let the white light move down and spread to every
part of your body. As it passes through each part of your body, feel at one with the
energy and feel that specific part of your body relaxing
Step Two
Let the energy move down into your feet, and feel the energy coming through into
your hands. Feel the energy flowing out through the palms of your hands. Spend a
few minutes feeling this energy flowing through your palms.
Step Three
Then try this technique with a colour of your choosing and see how you go and
remember to take notes on any sensation that you feel while working with that colour.

Light Energy Healing

Step One
I want you to get comfortable and relax.

Now close your eyes and I want you to visualize that there is a bright star of energy at
the centre of your body if should be spiraling around in a clockwise motion.
Step Three
Now focus your attention on the centre of this star at the centre of your physical body.
and feel the energy of this bright star expanding out through your body some people
feel the sensation of a great inner calm as the light energy flows through the body. As
the energy flows through each part of the body feel your body relaxing.

Step Four
Now hold out both your hands, Feel the energy flowing out through the palms of your
hands. Spend a few minutes feeling this energy flowing through your palms.

Colour Healing

Red : Increases your connection to the earth and gives strength to the basic life force

The Healers Exercise


Physical Exercise : Two Person Technique

Step One
Charge your physical body with energy.
Step Two
Then work out who will be the patient and who will be the healer.
Step Three
Then close your eyes and take a few deep breaths concentrate on your breathing. Now
visualize or feel the colour of the chakra or auric layer that you wish to work with or
the meridian energy or one of the other energies and see that energy entering your
head through the crown chakra. Let that energy move down and spread to every part
of your body. As it passes through each part of your body, feel at one with the energy
and feel that specific part of your body relaxing
Step Four

Let the energy move down into your feet, and feel the energy coming through into
your hands. Feel the energy flowing out through the palms of your hands.
Step Five
Then hold your hand over patient and blend that energy with the chakra or layer of the
auric field that you wish to work on.
Step Six
See that part of the human energy system healing as the energy blends with the patient
and when the that area has healing fill that area with the light energy form the patients
core star to stabilize that area.
Step Seven
Then in your own time open your eyes.

Spiritual Healing
Introduction

Spiritual Healing is an ability of learning and understanding ones own spiritual nature
and that of the spiritual plains around us. In spiritual healing we practise techniques
of working with angels, and our healing guides, and also our higher selves. But first
we must learn how to make contact with our spiritual heart. Our spiritual heart centre
is located bewteen the heart chakra and throat chakra and is known as the thymus
chakra or soul seat, it is here that we hold our true love for ones self and others.
Loving ones self is very inportant with spiritual healing, it is here that we also find
the love of the first source creator of all universal life or as it is known God. The
thymus chakra is alway where the energies of the soul star and earth star meet
bringing balance to ones self this is also known as Yin and Yang a perfect balance
between both Spiritual energy and earth energy hence forth the symbol

This symbolises the balance of energy while the white dot symbolises the soul star
and the lower point the black dot symbolise the earth star. One way the get a better
understanding of this is to try spining the thymus chakra. This chakra looks like a 12
pointed star if you visualize it another way to open this chakra is to place a herkimer
diamond over the thymus chakra and meditate.
While meditating focus your attension on the thymus chakra and breathe into it, once
you feel the energy of the thymus try spining it counter clock wise and see what
happens if it feels right work with it if not try spining it clockwise and see what
happens, you will know when it feels right to you.
It is the belief in reiki practices that taping the tip of your index finger over the
thymus chakra lightly will keep you looking younger. I've found in the time that i
have been doing this that each time i do it energy is released from the thymus chakra
it is important that you tap the thymus chakra 21 times a day to feel the full affect of
this energy.

Another thing you can do is repeat the mantra I AM, I AM as you tap the thymus
chakra doing this will bring you in time to a better understanding of the I AM
presence within yourself and gods love stored within your spiritual heart. Remember
always that loving ones self is the greatest love there is and with that may light and
love be with you always.
Spiritual healing is the art of healing with ones hands this is also know as the laying of
hands and the practice of the laying of hands has been around for thousands of years
we as healers work as a channel by which and higher energies of the universe and the
source are moved from the higher plain of exsitence down through the crown chakra
and into the hands. But first we need to ready ourselves for healing, this is done by
focusing on the thymus chakra, now feel the love then focus on a beautiful white light
just above you and see that beautiful white light flowing over you like a beautiful
white waterfall of light and love.
Working with the higher self, angels and healing guides.
We all have a guardian angel and a healing giude and there are angels for every
possible situation that you could think of, all you need to do is ask. The higher self is
just that a higher part of you that exists on a higher plain of existance once you have
made your self ready simply call upon your higher self. this is done by saying, I Call
Upon My Higher Self.
When working with angels you can call of colours as well, all the archangels have ther
own colour that they work with to call on archangel Micheal invoke blue, to call on
archangel Gabriel invoke green, to call upon Uriel invoke yellow, and for Raphael
invoke the colour red, when im working with healing i always invoke the colours of
the rainbow I find it works best for me.
Once you have invoked the colour just say I Call Upon My guardian Angel, or
Archangel _________, And most importantly call up your highest healing guide This
is a simple process of I Call Upon My Highest Healing Guide.
You may also wish to use the nature spirits and the meridian as well this is done by
calling on the elemental energies of the earth and the nature spirits.
Healing
There are many forms of healing we can call upon from laying of hands to distant
healing.

Distant Healing
Is the ability of sending healing to a loved one, family or friend that may not live close
by. This is done the same way as laying of hands all you need to do is think of the
person and call upon your higher self. Then ask your higher self to send the healing
through to the there higher self of the other person if they are ready then there higher
self will pass the healing on to them if they are not ready then there higher self will
hold the healing to such time that they are ready. always remember to send your love
with the healing.
Healing Ones Self
Is a process of healing ones self with the light and love. Once you have prepared
yourself for healing call upon your highest healing guide and call upon any other help
you may need. They will know what to do and where to work. Just ask them to
perform a healing on you. once the healing is finished thank your healing guide and
any other help you have call upon and be thankful for their gift. Remember service
through gratitude is best.
Healing others
When starting out with healing others in your healing sessions have the person sit
down in a chair and stand behind them and perpare yourself for healing and in your
own time call upon your highest healing guide and any other help you may wish to
use. When you are ready place one hand on either side of the head and begin the
healing. Your guides will guide you to where the healing work needs to be done and
when the healing is done place your hands on their feet and ground them back into the
earth. Always ask if it's ok to touch their feet before you start the healing. Then thank
your highest healing guide and other help for their help, Then hand the person back
their power. This is done by saying I Honour Your Creation.

Introduction

There are many ways to cleanse or clear crystals and you may like to try out several
methods to find the way that feels most effective to you. Some Teachers notably
Serge King do not think clearing stones is ever needed.
I find that clearing stones can be a big help sometimes as everything does pick up
energy impressions and when used actively crystals can soak up a lot of pain energy
etc.
When using energy and intention based methods to clear your stones you can
program the crystal to retain or restore its ideal state and or previous programming
and memories rather than totally erasing them. Consult the crystal intuitivly for a
sense of how much it needs to be cleared .
Drastic Methods Salt Water Earth & fire

The most commonly used clearing method of soaking them in sea salt water is no
longer recommended for general use because it is rather drastic and can harm many
kinds of crystals both physically and energetically. You can save that for really heavy
duty cases.
In some cases you may want to keep the negative energy of a stone that has a
important message and only shield it from accidental activation (I am thinking of
someone's small stone that was picked up at Dachau).
Another drastic method is to bury your crystals in Earth Stones that you feel are
extremely negative can be buried in earth for an entire moon cycle. or longer . you
will need a sure way to find them . placing stones in fire is not reccomended by me as
it may damage or destroy many crystals.
Please remember that it is common for the mind to amplify the energy received, and
sometimes high vibration positive energies can feel prickly and uncomfortable if you
are not ready for them.Some people tend to refuse to recognize that stones have been
cleared to the point of returning undesirable energies to the cleared stone with their
own mental intention.
Dry Salt & Vinegar

Leaving the crystals in dry sea salt overnight or longer is another somewhat heavy
duty clearing method. Soaking the crystals in a solution of 1 quart of warm water with

one tablespoon of sea salt and a quarter cup of apple cider vinegar for 20 minutes to
half an hour is a quick clear technique that is not as drastic and seems quite thorough .
Salt can be harsh and many stones are water soluble or other wise potentially harmed
by water. some of these these include Halite (salt), Sylvite, Desert Rose Selenite, all
Selenite, gypsum angelite , Azurite ,Talc. calcite may dissolve in water as may
Alabaster ,Sulfur dissolves in salt water. I have been told that any stone that has a
name ending in ite can probably be damage by water though I am not sure of that.
Smudging

You can also smudge your crystals with sage, sweet grass, cedar ,sandalwood or other
clearing smoke or incense ,fanning the smoke over them or holding them in the smoke
make sure that all sides of the stones are placed in the smoke. This works well and can
be used on delicate crystals that can not be placed in water or salt without damaging
them.
Clearing With Crystals

Small crystals can be cleared by leaving them on a large crystal cluster, either clear
Quartz or ameythst . I have heard of using a selenite wand this way but have not done
it myself.
Breath

Breath techniques are very effective for small pieces, hold the stone to be cleared in
your dominant hand (the one you use to write with) take a deep breath in through your
nose and focusing your intention on clearing the stone expel your breath firmly onto
the stone from your nose , repeat until you have covered all sides of the stone either a
long slow exhalation or short quick bursts are effective choose the way you prefer.
you may also take a deep breath through your nose and holding the stone in either
hand with your mouth slightly open expel your breath through your mouth slowly
over the stone while making the "ha" sound .
Energy

Using energy is very effective ,Reiki, Huna, Rainbow Light , crystal clearing shakti,
of course, Most general purpose healing energies and universal chi etc. work quite
well if you are attuned to them or have practiced with those that come in without
attunements .

Generally just run the energy into the stone until you feel that it is cleared. Crystal
clearing shakti if you have it, is autonomous and once you have started it running on a
stone or group of stones it will work until done without further attention or intention
on your part. Holding the piece between both hands while running energy or beaming
a flood of spiritual light into it also works. With most intelligent energies you can add
the intention that the crystal become self clearing.
Some energy is also very good for charging stones to amplify their natural abilities
Using direct intention can be very effective if you are able to focus your intention and
are not over doubtful of its ability to clear crystals ,hold the stone in your hand or
palm or place your hands on or over it and focus your intention on clearing it, for most
stones a minute should be long enough to clear it.
If you are skilled at remote work or have an aptitude for it you need not actually touch
the stone. Intention is also used to place a shield around a stone that you wish not to
clear but only prevent from broadcasting generally, The "Never Again" stones from
Dachau etc. being prime examples as these can be used to promote recognition of the
truth and compassion.
Light & Sound

Colored light either from actual light or energetically is also used white ,gold, violet
and blue being commonly but not exclusively used . Toning , bell ringing, chanting
and other clearing with sound can also be effective and enjoyable Aum, AH El EE
Oh, Ha , being only a minute fraction of sounds that work for clearing playing healing
music and drumming work.
Sun & Moon

Placing stones in Sunlight or Moonlight is also good for clearing and charging them
.Some stones are faded or otherwise distressed by direct sunlight. This may include
Amethyst, rose Quartz, Citrine, Celestite (particularly blue), Aquamarine, Moonstone
and Fluorite. Some turquoise may fade. A chunk of blue calcite faded after a while
and I have also heard hat Realgar and pyrope can dissolve in air rather than sunlight.
Stones are left in bright sunlight usualy from 3 hours to all day but strong sunlight
may take as little a 30 minutes or even less .
Running Water

Running water works well for clearing stones that are not harmed by water . A spring
or stream or the ocean waves is best though you must be careful not to lose your
stones to the ocean or river. Holding crystals under the tap will do in an emergency .

Some people like to leave theirstones out during rainstorms too. Many people also
bathe with their crystals which not only clears and charges the stones it is very
refreshing and healing for the bather as well.
Gentler and slower methods include immersing the stones in rose petals or lavender
petals or sage, thyme or Rosemary leaves or in feathers or charged sand just putting
the stone on a sacred altar or in a place with healing energies will also work over time.

There are angels and Deva and other spiritual beings who can and will clear crystals
when you ask them learning to connect with your high self and Companion Angel will
help you learn to work with the stone people in a depper way.
Most of what determines whether these methods work for you is your belief system
and your intention . Any of these methods will work it is up to you to find those that
feel most effective to you.
Charging Crystals

Many of the techniques for clearing crystals also charge and restore them but
sometimes A crystal that has been cleared seems under energized or even lifeless. It
can be charged ,amplified or restored by several methods.
First I usually hold the stone and intend that it natural energies be amplified using a
scale of one to ten . There are attunements that can facilitate this and other
energywork and crystal work processes .
I find that many people can access these procedures quite well without formal
attunements. It takes less than a minute for most of these intention techniques to work
and most will run to completion by themselves if you do not retain focus on the stone.

Simply intend that the stone's energy be raised to its highest most healthful level ,or
restored to its ideal state.
You can also use intention to personalize a stone for your self or others this will call
in harmonious energies and turn off inharmonious ones. You can also use intention to
recover programming or memories that have been cleared out previously if you need
too.
In most cases if you have a piece of the same stone that is fully energized you can
place the under charged stone next to or on it and ask intend that the weak stone
match it and restored to the full level of its potential.
You can ask your Solar Angel and high self to charge and restore a stone or bring in
the Guide or Deva most suitable. to do this.
Sunlight, moonlight, wind and other Spiritual intervention will raise the vibration and
restore wholeness to your stone's energy. If you run crystal shaktis or stone spirit
energies you can charge your stone simply by running the stone shakti of that stone
into it .
Programming Crystals

It is possible to program your crystal or other stone to hold a message , work for a
specific purpose, broadcast an affirmation, or emotion , enhance protective filters ,
communication, meditation and healing work and an almost infinite number of other
purposes. Before we had computers we called this process "enchanting".
I strongly reccomend programming a single terminated quartz crystal to help facilitate
your connection and awareness of your high self and/or companion Angel and
carrying with you in a pocket as often as you can.
If you do not have a particular stone or crystal that you need for a particular purpose
you can use a quartz crystal and ask/intend that it be charged to act as the needed
stone ,Make sure that you clear it when you are done using it as an energetic
substitute.
Quartz crystal is most often used for programming, though most stones can be used.
.Keep your programs in harmony with the natural energies and purpose of the stone .
Singly terminated quartz crystals are most often used though round crystals and stones
are very good also.

It is quite important when programming a crystal by intention that you are quite clear
and focused on just what it is that you do intend. You might want to write down your
proposed program first and before you program a stone or other object to promote a
particular emotion think it through carefully.
I once charged a stone with the intention that it promote happiness in a large room and
after a few days we all became very irritated at the constant "Happy" energetic
nagging . It was just not comfortable or natural.
I also once programmed a stone to promote sleep in a bedroom and it was so effective
that it was virtually impossible to do anything else at all in the room until the stone
was cleared. My Love life virtually disappeared. It even had a plumber and a heater
repairman struggling to remain awake to their great puzzlement.
Programming for mental alertness and emotional clarity has not caused any
difficulties so far. You want to help not overpower these cautions apply even more
strongly to programs for Love etc. if in doubt don't do it!. Crystal programming is to
be used only for good and in accord with Your soul purpose . You cannot and should
not use these techniques to try to manipulate others .
The Technique

First and foremost clarify your intention, hold the stone in your dominant hand or in
both hands. Large stones can be touched rather than held. Focus your intention on the
stone. Clearly state in your mind or out loud what it is you are programming the stone
for. Visualize the desired result as clearly as you can if appropriate.
To program a stone to broadcast an intention ,prayer ,desire or affirmation or healing
energy you just intend that it do so . One to five minutes is the standard time to hold
the focus. You can intend that it activate only when you hold it or when you call on it
rather than having it be contstantly active depending on the purpose you are
programing or dedicating it too.
You will probably find it most effective to hold the stone in your non dominant hand
to receive and your dominant hand to program or to amplify sending of healing energy
.
Some crystals have already got a firmly set memory and purpose , these are not
appropriate to use for you own programs . You should have an intuitive sense that it is
suitable to program the stone for what you intend before you do so.

Introduction

Yoga is a great form of exercise and is a great way to learn how energy moves
through the body. we can also learn to control both our spiritual and physical worlds
with yoga. Energy is the fabric of which the universe is made up of and by listening
we learn more about ourselves and the universe around us.
So as you learn yoga listen to your body and what it is telling you and remember to
have fun. Also I find yoga to be a great way of keeping in shape and as we get older
it helps to keep us limber so I have added this page to the site for all those who would
like to learn more of this form of exercise and I know there are quicker ways to learn
the flow of energy but in taking short cuts how much do you miss.
I find that the traditional way can sometimes be more beneficial when working with
energy and would recommend the old ways over some of the new techniques of
today. For we can learn a lot from where we have been and with that in mind if we
know where we have been then we also know where we wish to go.
General considerations

For safe and rewarding practice, please observe the following:


Before The Exercise

Best time for practice is either dawn or sunset. In the morning mind is fresh and
undisturbed. Practice after a quick shower, before breakfast - some positions exert
pressure on the abdomen. If possible, empty bowels prior to practice. Downside of
morning exercise are somewhat tighter muscles.
Which is exactly why more people prefer evening practice. You'll feel more
wear&tear in the body, but muscles will respond better compared to morning. Allow
2.5 - 3 hours for digestion of the last meal.
Loose clothes made of cotton are good choice. Exercise on a mat or thick blanket ensure firm contact with the floor. Therefore, it's easier to practice barefooted.

During The Exercise

Breathe
Observe the way you're breathing right now. Be quick, since observation changes the
rythm and air intake.
Now draw one deep breath through nostrils as slowly as possible and notice the
difference. Most people are amazed by actual lung capacity compared to small portion
they use daily.
Treat warm-up as an initiation of a complete breathing pattern. Let the air flow
smoothly, together with movement. This will engage your breath, mind and body.
Make No Sudden Movements

Sudden moves put you out of control and introduce stress to muscles, tendons,
ligaments and breathing. Possibility of injury increases and even if it seems you're
stretching more, in the long run this approach backfires. Muscles contract from shock.
Observe breathing, pauses often indicate you are pushing over the limit.
Allow Absollutely No Discomfort Or Pain

There is no such thing as +pushing the edge; by prolonging the uncomfortable


position. Ignoring the warning signal of pain, you fall out of yoga. Approach the edge
gently and stay with the breathing while feeling the stretch. Your practice shouldn't be
exercise of will power, but a recognition of unity.
Be Aware Of Mind/Body Totality

Focusing exclusively on stretch or contraction, you emphasise disharmony in your


body. Ideally, the whole body participates in each position. With senses constantly
chasing after desired objects, it's hard being aware of body totality. Start feeling the
focal part of position and spread the consciousness through body. This will come
automatically with regular practice and right set of mind.
The Concept

Warm-Up
Session begins with a warm-up, as a sort of buffer zone from stress. Mind isn't
engaged as in asana practice, but shifts focus from external objects and circumstances
to metabolism.

Movement springs from breath. Thus your practice internalises, your abilities as well
as limitations can be acknowledged. Chance for injury is practically none. Treat
warm-up as an essential preparation for lungs.
After you've improved circulation, breathing and overall feeling in the body, proceed
with
Standing Positions

which set tone of the session. If vigorous, express it with fully engaged leg muscles
spending more time in positions. If drowsy, gently activate body. Wake up the sleepy
parts. Standing is the most familiar and commonly used position of all. In yoga
practice we approach it consciously and analize body in terms of gravity, lines of
energy, opposing muscle groups etc.
In next poses we introduce imbalance to observe details unavailable in symetrical
positions, for example disbalances in trunk and legs. At the same time, body is
gaining strength through maintaining the pose. Improved flexibility is yet another
byproduct of this practice. If you treat it that way, you'll avoid competing with
yourself and others.
Final standing position is a tree. Test what you've learned in previous poses while
improving concentration and balance (the latter depends heavily on the first).
Reclining Positions

For this class I've chosen halfbridge, ardha halasana and freeing of the wind,
pawanamuktasana. Halfbridge brings life to spine and massages back muscles. Second
position takes care of abdominal and spinal health, also releiving muscles cramped
from long sitting hours. Also serves as a counterpose for halfbridge and preparatory
pose for
Forward Bends

here represented with rowing and preparation for classical forward bend,
pascimottanasana. Altough rowing reminds of a warm-up, I've included it since
forward bends can be a problem for beginners. Muscles which should by elonging
enable us to relax into pose are usually stiffened by sitting. Pelvic mobility can also
restrict bend. At this point, we'll utilise
Sitting Position

resting and feeling the accumulated effects of practice so far. Class continues with a
camel posture, giving the body first hint of later backbends.

Cat/dog is a unique practice for spine health and pelvis mobility. Muscles of the back
and abdomen are alternately stretched and flexed, while fresh blood removes toxins
from tissues. In the program progression also serves as a mediator between
sitting/kneeling poses and
Backbends

Modern life doesn't require strong back muscles, therefore causing back atrophy of
epidemic proportions. You'll perfom only simple preparations for backbends, avoiding
any strain. Carefull practice reduces back pain and gradually strenghtens muscles of
the back.
After bending spine in both frontal planes, we proceed with basic
Spine Torsion

which not only produces flexible spine and stronger back and lats, but also massages
kidneys and improves digestion.
Crown Of Yoga Asana Practice

Corpse posture (shavasana)


Challenge here is to surrender completly, while staying in the body. Total immobility
often brings unexpected insights into one's physiology and energetic structure.
Pranayama and concentration are explained later.
Warm-Up

Read this first, then practice using quick summary. That way you.ll maintain tempo
and body heat. Apart from the most obvious effect - raising the temperature and
easing the movement, lungs get exercised and proper breathing pattern is introduced
for rest of the practice. Let the breathing set the tempo. If it quickens, speed up
movements. A little sweat is good. Don't wipe it off, it keeps generated heat in the
body.
Neck

On in-breath look up feeling the frontal neck stretch. Jaw is relaxed. Breathe out,
letting the head go down, stretch is now in back of the neck.
Inhale and lift the head turning it over your right shoulder. Don't fix the shoulder, let it
turn also. Exhale, bring head to a neutral position and repeat to left.

Exhale back and with the next inhalation let the head go sideways towards right
shoulder. Keep breathing and feel the left side of the neck elongating. Don't push,
relax in the gravity field. Exhaling come up and inhaling repeat to the left. Spend few
more breaths here, since you're elongating what has just been contracted.
Shoulders and Arms

Alternately circle arms from shoulders, few times each direction. Lungs should be full
when the hand is in the highest position. Don't pause. Feel the movement translating
down the spine.
Then mimic climbing the rope. On inhale, raise arm, make a fist and pull down
exhaling. Put some muscle behind it. Alternate arms until a bit tired. Relax for a few
breaths. Feel the change in arms and shoulders.
Trunk

Stand a shoulder width apart, arms by your sides. Inhaling, raise the left arm towards
ceiling and with the exhalation start sliding with the right hand down the leg. Left
hand should function as an extension of the trunk, so don't bend it too much from the
shoulder. Repeat on the other side.
Next, interlock the fingers, inhale and raise arms over head and start circling with
them as though you were drawing a circle on the ceiling. Repeat few times in one
direction, then reverse. Find the breathing pattern that suits you best. Now quickly
relax.
Hips

Legs are still a shoulder width apart, position hands on your waist and start circling
the hips. Feel the movement from the inside. Notice weight distribution through your
feet. Reverse and relax.
Legs

Alternate between static squat on exhale (feet shoulder width apart, fingers
interlocked, palms pointing downwards) and standing on balls of your feet on inhale
with arms stretched over head, palms pointing upwards.
Quick chart

Neck: up, down, right, left, sideways

Shoulders & Arms: circling, rope climbing


Trunk: side extension, circling
Hips: circling
Legs: squat, raised position

Standing positions

Mountain : teaches the importance of alignment in the gravity field. If ankles and
knees are weak, pelvis will be out of balance and muscles which are not gravitational
will have to maintain upright position. Weak legs will cause pressure in abdominal
organs and eventual loss of their vitality. Contraindications: scoliosis, practice with
back against the wall
1. Stand with your feet together, stretching from heels towards fingers. Tighten
kneecaps and rotate them slightly inwards. At the same time project navel towards
spine, thus keeping pelvis in neutral position.
2. With inhalation decompress abdominal area and keep it high. Proceed relaxing and
elongating spine upwards. Keep shoulders away from ears, wide and low. Slightly
tighten the space between shoulder blades and open the lungs.
3. Keep arms by the sides, alive . nor too tight nor too soft.
4. Relax the head on top of the neck and find the place where it feels weightless. Look
straight. Breathe deeply.
Triangle : benefits legs, hips, shoulders, neck, sides of trunk and overall sense of
balance. Contraindications: back conditions
1. Spread feet at 1,5 shoulder width. Keep feet parallel. At the same time spread hands
at shoulder level and maintain stretch from shoulder to fingers, or better yet, from
fingers to fingers.
2. Turn right foot 90 degrees to the right. Keep left hip open at all times. Pull
kneecaps up and keep the legs strong.
3. Exhaling slightly bend right knee and put right elbow above right knee. Project left
arm towards the ceiling.
4. Look up. Trunk should feel live, so avoid too much weight in right hand. Stay here
for a few breaths, with inhalation come up to the starting position and repeat to the
other side.

Repeat 3 times each side. Follow the position if it gets deeper, until you place fingers
or palm on the ground.
Trikonasana - Triangle
Follow the instructions for preparation. Only difference is front knee which stays
straight all the time. Pay extra attention to rear hip, keep opening it while in
posture. Contraindications: back conditions
Vrksasana - Tree : develops sense of balance, both physical and emotional.
Contraindications: vertigo, heart problems (do not raise arms)
1. Stand in Tadasana. Inhaling, raise right foot from the ground and place it on left leg
at the knee level or lower. Keep the hip elevated.
2. Find a balance, aware of inner and outer edge of lower foot as well as fingers and
heel. Those are all balancing points now.
3. Bring palms together at heart level. Find a point on the opposite wall at the eye
level and mentally hold to it. Inhaling raise arms above head and be motionless for
few breaths.
4. With exhalation bring arms to the sides and put your leg down. Stay concentrated,
exit the position just as careful as you.ve entered it.
Repeat on the other side.
Reclining positions

Halfbridge : is a counter position for pavanamuktasana. Strengthens the knees,


reverses the blood flow towards head supplying fresh blood to thyroid and brings
awareness and flexibility to spine. It's especially beneficial for women because it
regulates period. Contraindications: peptic or duodenal ulcers, abdominal hernia
1. Lie flat on back and draw heels towards trunk. Spread feet at the hip width. Arms
are alive, palms facing the floor.
2. On inhalation, start raising the hips until knees and shoulders are in one straight line
and lungs are full.
3. Without a pause go back with exhalation. Feel each vertebra coming down. Draw
navel towards spine. This movement will rotate pelvis and enable better separation of
vertebrae in the lower spine. Repeat 5-6 times.

4. Go up for the last time and stay there for a few breaths.
Pavanamuktasana - Freeing of the wind massages the whole back and abdominal
area. It improves digestion and elimination and is a great relief for those suffering of
constipation. Knees are flexed in controlled way which aids to knee function. It also
prepares the lower back and gluteus muscles for forward bends. Contraindications:
high blood pressure, serious back conditions as slipped disc
1. Lie flat on back and draw feet half way to the trunk, knees pointing up.
2. Inhaling raise the right knee and get hold of it with both hands.
3. Start exhaling and bring the knee towards trunk. Feel where the stretch is.
4. Inhaling let the knee, release the grip and with exhalation bring the foot all the way
to the floor. Alternate legs 3 times.
5. Finally, bring both knees together for 4-5 deep breaths. This will massage the
abdominal area as well as back.
When finished, stay calm for few breaths feeling elongated muscles contracting and
vice versa.
Forward bends

Rowing prepares for the forward bends. Gently stretches back while strengthening
abdominals. Contraindications: sciatica, slipped disc
Sit with legs stretched in front and raise the knees a bit, soles keeping contact with the
floor. With inhalation, reach towards feet mimicking the rowing movement. Grab
rowing pads and with exhalation pull back. Repeat 10-15 times.
Preparation for Pascimottanasana is essential for healthy spine. It rejuvenates body
and increases gastric fire. Immune system is boosted. Contraindications: sciatica,
slipped disc
1. Sit with legs spread. Draw left heel towards trunk, place foot along right thigh.
2. Inhale, and when lungs are full start exhaling bending from waist towards the floor.
Place arms in front of you.
3. Keep exhaling and start moving arms towards the straight leg. Don't push head
towards knee, head and trunk should stay in a straight line.

4. Place arms on the leg. If head is close to knee, relax it there. If not, bend leg at the
knee until it supports torso.
Repeat 3 times on each side.
Sitting positions

Vajrasana - Diamond Posture is one of the basic meditative postures. Keeping the
blood in lower extremities, it supplies extra blood to brain. Improves the knee
function and promotes breath awareness. Contraindications: knee problems (sit on the
folded blanket or skip it alltogether)
1. Sit on both heels, place hands on knees.
2. Keep spine erect. Be aware of breathing, circulation and pressure felt in legs.
3. Stay like that for 1-2 minutes or while comfortable.
Camel Posture at the same time exercises balance, strengthens knees, lower back and
abdominals, stretches trunk in the frontal plane. It introduces back bends which follow
in the sequence. Contraindications: lumbago, enlarget thyroid
1. Inhaling kneel and place balls of feet on the ground. Spread knees to hip width.
2. Turn to right, look at the heel and exhaling place right hand around ankle. Push hips
back to where they were before you reached down.
3. Inhale raising right arm towards ceiling. Look up.
Repeat to other side.
When done, try twisting variation - left arm holds right ankle and vice versa.
Kneeling positions

Cat - dog: Unique exercise for pelvis mobility. It teaches the connection between
breath and movement. Spine mobility is improved along with lung capacity. In
sequence, serves as transition towards back bends.
Contraindications: recent abdominal/spinal surgery
1. Kneel with knees straight under hips. Palms are on the floor, straight under
shoulders. Spine is in neutral position. Inhale.

2. Exhaling look between knees, at the same time pushing upper back towards ceiling
and palms into the floor. Finish exhalation actively, from abdomen. You should now
resemble a stretching cat. Pelvis is in a forward tilt.
3. Start inhaling, come back to starting position and continue to the other side - look
up, jaw relaxed, abdomen is pulling the air and coming towards floor, while back
forms a saddle. You should now resemble a yawning dog. Pelvis is in a backward tilt.
Continue moving with breath, repeat 8-10 times.
Backbends

Cobra Posture : This exercise gently introduces backbends. Blood supply to lower
back and pelvis is increased. Abdominal area is gently stretched while back is
contracting and getting stronger. Discomfort coming from bad posture and long sitting
hours is relieved.
Contraindications: serious back injuries, recent abdominal surgery
1. Lie flat on belly. Turn palms towards floor and stretch hands forward.
2. Inhaling come up. Use arms to support trunk. Move in 2-3 small phases, placing
weight on arms alternately.
3. Keep navel on the floor. Find a comfortable pose and divide weight between lower
back and hands. Breathe easy.
4. After few breaths, with exhalation go down using the hands.
Repeat 3 times.
Grasshoper: This asana strengthens the whole back and gives trunk stronger frontal
stretch. In cobra posture, back was strengthened by raising trunk, while here legs are
raised.
Contraindications: serious back injuries, recent abdominal surgery
1. Lie flat on your belly. Put forehead to the floor. Arms are by the sides, small finger
touching leg.
2. Inhaling raise left leg. Push arms into floor and use them as a lever. Hip should stay
in the contact with the floor at all times.

3. Exhaling come back. Control the movement and synchronize it completely with
breathing.
Repeat 8-10 times. Pause and rest for few breaths, then continue to the other side.
Twists

Basic sitting twist After bending spine both forwards and backwards, it is ready for
torsion. It's essential for healthy spine and free vertebrae. If done properly, twisting
will massage both liver and kidneys.
Contraindications: hernia
1. Sit with legs together and stretched in front of you. Keep the legs alive during this
exercise.
2. Draw right foot towards trunk and let the ankle pass the knee. Stretch right leg from
hip forwards and keep a light pressure towards floor.
3. Embrace right leg with left arm and draw knee close to armpit. Stay perpendicular
to the floor at all times. Put right hand where spine would be if you were on the floor.
Inhale, look to your right, turn the whole trunk and extend the spine upwards.
4. Exhaling and keeping the knee close to armpit, look over your right shoulder. Don't
engage just the neck, torsion should be felt throughout the whole spine.
Repeat to the other side.
Deep Relaxation

Shavasana - Corpse It is the crown of your practice. All the positions are becoming
integrated in your system and subtle effects can be experienced. Body is completely
motionless and the mind follows. If it doesn't happen naturally, don't force it. Just
acknowledge the thoughts and let them pass without opposition. Once you become
aware of them, they dissolve.
1. Lie on your back. Push from hips towards heels and relax.
2. Check lower back. If it's arching too far from the floor, try rotating sitting bones
towards heels. If you can't do it, draw feet towards trunk. This movement will bring
down lower back and let you relax deeper.
3. Bring shoulders towards waist, imitating the standing position.

4. Release the chin from neck letting the air pass free.
5. Slightly rotate legs and arms left and right few times.
6. Rotate head with neck, then let it stop in the center.
7. Relax the whole body. Feel everything from toes to head. Do it several times. Make
last adjustments to the pose.
8. Be completely motionless for some time. Stay in the body.
9. After few minutes, roll to left side and raise to a sitting position.
Breathing Exercise

Sit in a relaxed manner. Doesn't matter if you're on the floor or chair as long as spine
feels free and abdomen soft and expanded. Close your eyes.
1. Start by observing the breath. Do not change breathing pattern at this time, just pay
attention. Notice which parts of respiratory system are more active. Feel how much
lung volume is actually used. Hear the sound of breathing. Notice spine extension
with each breath.
2. Proceed by gradually deepening the breath. Do so until you reach your comfortable
maximum. Do not introduce force.
3. Continue drawing deep breaths for few minutes and try to slow down. Be aware of
each breath coming in and going out. If you feel a bit dizzy, maybe you.re starting to
hyperventilate. As you.re inhaling more, breathing should be a bit slower.
4. Relax the breath and return to observing. Notice the difference.
Meditation Posture

Posture, Legs What the legs are doing is the least important and causes the most pain
and fear for many people. Seated meditation can be done in a chair or on the floor either cross legged or kneeling. There is no mystical value of one position over
another, although some positions provide greater stability and long-term ease. What
really matters is that the thighs slope down from the pelvis to the knees enough to tilt
the pelvis forward. This provides support for the low back.

Full Lotus Posture

Benefits: Provides the classical sitting position for meditation during longer periods
of time without bodily movement
Promotes very great elasticity of the ankles, knees, and legs because of the position
which is required.
Note: The full lotus position is an advanced yoga position that requires considerable
amount of practice to master. If you cannot do half lotus position, you will not be able
to do full lotus position.
The Full Lotus

The classic position is full lotus, which requires significant hip and leg flexibility. In
full lotus, the legs are crossed, and each ankle is lifted up and placed over the top of
the opposite thigh. In half lotus, only one leg is up. Either lotus posture is
recommended only when they are easy to maintain; the purpose of the posture is to be
comfortable and balanced, so forcing oneself into an awkward position is not helpful.
Half Lotus Posture

Benefits: Relaxes the entire nervous system, Lessens the tension and stiffness in the
ankles, knees and thighs and Provides a comfortable sitting position for resting the
mind for meditation. Half Lotus sitting position had been used for meditation from
time immemorial.
How To Do It?

In a sitting position, stretch your legs straight out before you.


Bend your left leg at the knee and bring it toward you so that you can take hold of
your left foot with both hands.
Place your left foot so that the sole rests against the inside of the right thigh. The heel
of your left foot should be drawn in as far as possible.
Bend your right leg at the knee so that you can take hold of your right foot with both
hands.
Place your right foot in the fold of your left leg. Drop the right knee as far as possible
toward the floor. Rest your hands on your knees. Sit in this position as long as needed.
When your legs grow tired, stretch them straight out before you and gently massage
your knees. Then repeat the position by reversing the legs so that the right leg is
drawn in first and the left leg is on top.
Concentration

Sit like that for some time and you.ll enter dharana or concentration. It's not exercise
in breathing any more, but in concentration. Whatever thoughts might come, let them
go and return to breath. Stay like that for a few minutes. If you have trouble
concentrating on breath, try listening to the sound of it, observe the entry and exit of
air, feel movements of the skin. Use anything connected to breathing to allow
thoughts constant flow towards it.

Five Tibetans
In the beginning of the original book, upon which the Five Tibetans is
based, The Ancient Secrets of the Fountain of Youth (originally
written over seventy years ago, by Peter Kelder and also entitled The
Eye of Revelation), we can read a series of testimonials where people
report: more energy, increase in strength and endurance, gray hair
turning back to its original color, vision improvement, arthritis relief,
better memory, younger look, weight loss, and more extraordinary
rejuvenation. People claim to "look ten years younger, and to have
"never felt better."
The Five Tibetans: A Description
As described in the text, the Five Tibetans, also known as the Five Rites of
Rejuvenation, were brought to the West early in this century, by a retired British army
officer, who learned them in a Tibetan lamasery.
The Five Tibetans are a yogic system of highly energizing postures and exercises that
originated in the Himalayas. Liberating and enhancing the innate energetic power of
the human body and mind, these five exercises take a minimum of daily time and
effort but offer remarkable results in the way of increased physical strength and
suppleness as well as mental acuity. In addition, these exercises can be a vehicle for
