My Favorite Things: Use Realbook sheet (pg. 285). Intro: First 4 bars of sheet until Anissa starts.
Add four bars of the intro before the repeat sign (end of line three) both times that you get to the
repeat (but not on the solo). Solo: Piano solo first 6 lines (including repeat at line 3). Anissa sings
from line 7 tell the end (ending as written).
Wave: Realbook (pg. 431). Intro: vamp tell Anissa comes in. Solos: Conner one chorus, Erik half
a chorus, Anissa in at the bridge. Ending: vamp. Watch Erik for slow down/stop time. Anissa cues
the ending so look at me ending on Dmaj9
Georgia On My Mind: C major. Intro: Conner plays one A section on sax as intro. Anissa sings
full form. 12/8 feel at Bridge. Conner takes an A. Erik takes an A. Back in at Bridge. Slow down
at very end (watch Erik/Anissa), then resume normal time do a 1-6-2-5 turn around holding the 5
until Anissa comes in with Look At Me
Misty: Hold a G7 from Georgia, until Anissa comes in with Look At Me and play form all the
way through. Erik solo's on an A, Conner takes an A, Anissa is back in at the bridge. Slow down at
very end and end on a Dbmaj7 chord, resolve to Cmaj7 on cue
Lullaby Of Birdland: minor 1-6-2-5 intro. Solo's for anyone who wants one. Anissa sings whole
form again. Short ending on when we kiss.
Take The A Train: Piano Intro. Conner/Erik both solo. Then trading 4's with Reid. Anissa sings
whole form. Short ending.
Besame Mucho: Tango feel. First two lines, very staccato. 3rd and 4th lines legato. Try to create
contrast throughout the piece and play dynamically. First four lines repeated for solos. Anissa
comes in on bridge (5th line). Tag ending once and then end short. Conner plays short montuno for
four bars then ends abruptly. Cha Cha Cha.
Tell Me A Bedtime Story: Intro: free time on F#m7. On cue Jeremy changes root note to G, and
Conner plays opening lick setting the tempo. Time comes in at F#m7. Break at 2nd ending (5/4
measure. Listen for Erik's pick up to determine where the downbeat of the next measure is, he has
the liberty to play the 5/4 as 4/4 6/4 or 7/4, so pay attention!). Play melody once. Conner solo
once. Erik solos most of the form and then plays the melody for the last three lines. Ending:
decrescendo while playing the ending vamp until cued to stop on Cmaj7. Final chord, Bmaj7, will
be cued)
You Are The Sunshine Of My Life: Intro as written with repeat. Anissa sings all lyrics. Short
piano solo on A section...band fades out Conner ends alone.
My Funny Valentine: Start right on (not to slow!!). The bridge needs to feel a bit more
bouncy/energetic than the rest of the song. Solo's on first two A's. Anissa in at Bridge. Ritard at
end. After anissa hits her final note we play the first two bars of the bridge a few times and end on
Bbmaj7.
