INTRODUCTION
The Co curricular activities fall outside the academics. We have a vast range of co
curricular activities be it sports, societies, part time work etc. We encourage
students recognize the value of activities as a part of their development. In other
words co curricular not extracurricular with non academic purriets is not only
benefied to student development but is known to the highly value by employees. It
may be seen like a small change but by almosting to students we view to the
academic study. Enlargment participation whats more. Many of the activities are
formally recognized on the students but the most introductive change has been
curricular which relates to effective study. Pralius and personal professional and
career development. These activities help students make sense of and take
responsibility are encouraged to engage with these activities through varities of
opportunity from the practical workshop to online seminar.
The opportunities are embraced within the academic programs but also offered as
standalone events throughout a degree. Rather than being an after throughout for
your students.

NEED AND SIGNIFICANCE


Most of the educational organization in various different parts of the world
facilitate these activities for school and college. Students fully is mostly involved
organizing and directing these activities in school while it may be independent from
fully in activities. Extra Curricular activities exist all level of in junior or middle
school or high education. While in other it voluntary where these are compulsory
all school students must participate them alongs. Along the standard of education
a student participation generally involved academic points the importance of co
curricular and extracurricular activities encourage their children in participately
such productive activities which help in the overall development of the study.
These activities enhance the learning experience of the students help recognized by
and developinbng their inner skills. Such a leadership qualities creative or
innovative skills developing this actively are developing the power of child and
prove an opportunity of the student to work.

STATEMENT OF THE STUDY

The study is entitled A STUDY ON THE NEED ANIMPORTANCE OF


CO CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES IN SOCIAL SCIENCE EDUCATION

OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY

To find out the importance of co curricular activities in education

SCOPE AND LIMITATION


The scope of co curricular activities is wide due to nearly in enhancestable list of
interests. Good platform to secure the future both professionally and socially and
promoted leadership qualities in co curricular activities. They are a great source of
classroom and school routine. Its students ability in cooperation, coordination,
organization and leads towards leaderships. These activities prepare a child for
future challenges. It enhance the inner confidence to make the students fit for the
future time. Enhance social interaction healthy recreation co curricular activities
received by students physical activities running, football etc help not only in the
physical fitness they also refresh the buirded mind.
Due to lack of proper time the present study is limited sample which limits
investigator from having a detailed collection of information.

METHODOLODY
Methodology refers to the use of different kinds of method to undertake study

Sample used for the study is 15 students of standard VIII, MSM HSS, Kayamkulam

ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION


On the basis of the sample collected following analysis has been done. A well
prepared questionnaire was given to 15 students. On the basis of the data collected
the following table has been prepared

positively and 10 % have responded negatively. The 80% students have responded
positively and 20% have responded negatively. To the next question interested
knowledge 90% students have responded positively. 10% have responded
negatively.
To the question give more activities 80% students have responded positively
and 20% students have responded negatively. Next question whether good or bad
90% of students responded positively and 10% have responded negatively. The next

All the students agree that through the adaption of this method the
knowledge level increased 90% students have told that their thinking strategy
should be changed.

It

should

be

aware

of

the

importance

of

the

co

curricular

and

extracurricular. They need to support their children in such activities. Parents


should organize the importance and positive aspects of co curricular and
extracurricular activities. The school and colleges well in providing the activities
school 1 or 2 timetable for co curricular activities (CCA) and in same school it is
allowed as SUPW period. They just far on the top of parents recognize the
importance of the co curricular and extracurricular activities encourage their
children in participating of help in the overall development of the child.
Co curricular activities improve teaching. It would increase the interest in
teaching learning process. Co curricular activity being important for overall
development of the students have through the co curricular activities have
importance in social science education
