WELDING CURRENT: DC +

DESCRIPTION
OK TUBROD 15.20 is a fully basic low hydrogen flux cored wire depositing a 1.25
Cr, 0.5 Mo alloy designed for creep resistant steels of similar composition. It is also
suitable for welding high tensile steels with a tensile strength of 700 Mpa in the
welded condition. Shielding gas could be CO2 or Ar mixtures. Typical applications
include fabrication and repair in the power industry. The flux-cored wire welds with a
very smooth and stable arc and deposits a very thin slag that is easily removable.
The weldbead is smooth and shiny with a flat bead profile.

SHIELDING GAS: CO2

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
Dual Shield 7000-A1 is essentially designed for applications of low alloy high strength
steels. It is widely used in the fabrication and erection of boilers, pressure piping,
and tubing and other pressure vessel applications.

SHIELDING GAS: CO2 or 80% Argon with 20% CO2.

DESCRIPTION
Dual Shield 7000-A1 is recommended for welding of low alloy, high tensile steels of
50,000-psi min yield strength and also the 0.5 molybdenum steels. A 75% Ar-25%
CO2 shielding gas mixture may be used to improve arc characteristics in out-ofposition work, and provide increased wetting action, decreased penetration, and
easier arc control. Metal transfer is smooth and welds are consistently free of porosity.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
OK TUBROD 15.20 is used for the welding of such steels as 0.5 Cr - 0.5 Mo, 1 Cr 0.5 Mo, and 1.25 Cr - 0.5 Mo, which are used principally in power piping and boiler
work for the fabrication of plates, pipes, tubes, castings and forging conforming to
ASTM specifications.
