Emily Bell
An associate attorney with Mishlove and Stuckert, Emily Bell has
represented dozens in court trials, jury trials, and motion hearings. Her
practice is dedicated solely to drunk driving defense, but has previously
worked in employment law.
Attorney Bell also...
Mishlove and Stuckert has successfully defended individuals accused of OWI. In one such case, Jennifer
(last name withheld) was accused of a second drunk driving offense in Waupaca County and refusing to
consent to a blood test. Since she refused the blood test, the arresting officer applied for and was given a
warrant to conduct a forced blood draw. Prior to hiring Mishlove and Stuckert, she defaulted on the ten-day
refusal deadline and lost her drivers license (be aware that you may only have ten days from the date of
your arrest to challenge a suspension or revocation of your drivers license), and was facing a criminal DUI
charge and mandatory jail sentence. After a thorough investigation, attorney Emily Bell discovered that the
process used to obtain the warrant was illegal and therefore the warrant was defective. Attorney Bell filed a
motion to suppress the blood result in the case, resulting in the State responding by reducing the charge.
Jennifer avoided both a criminal record and jail time.
