Welcome Adam and Ameena have joined us in the over two

classroom, we look forward to getting to know both of you and
your whanau/families

Welcome back Teacher Huda who has returned from

her extended holiday in Jordan.

Extended Holidays Lujain, Rayan and Zaina are all leaving on

extended holidays to Jordan for two months, we look forward
to hearing about their travels. Have a great holiday!

Healthy Heart Award Teachers have submitted their

assessments and learning stories and we are in the
process of applying for the Healthy Heart Award.

Big thank you Alanzo and Sanas Grandmother for donating

the beautiful doll house, our children love it!
Thank you to Ameena and her mother for gifting Eid gift bags
for all children and all the delicious cupcakes.
Arabic and Islamic Programme Teacher Bushra has
completed planning which is viewable on our blog and
classroom wall, her focus is prophets including Prophet
Ibrahim, Prophet Mohammed and Prophet Noah.
Teacher Manal will be joining us to oversee and implement our
Hajj programme.
The children are excited to have Teacher Huda return from
holiday; alongside Teacher Manal she is responsible for our
Arabic programme.
Program Plan Over Two Classroom Our emergent group
focus is Space with focus on moon, planets, stars and
constellations. This interest started with Matariki and further
developed when we were sighting the moon for Ramadan; with
upcoming Hajj the children are excited for their knowledge to
be extended.

Over Two Environment As part of our internal

reviews teachers have arranged the classroom to be
inclusive and support inquiry based curriculum, play
based learning. Feel free to ask about the benefit of
these.

Managements News
Donation request Management please requests $5
per child towards Eid gifts, info has been e-mailed.
Professional Development Management has
nominated Teacher Bushra for leadership course and
will be attending with her.
Management has also enrolled the centre in CORE
mathematical workshops, we hope this will support
our Under Two Programme this term while expanding
all teachers and relievers knowledge.
Renovations

Program Plan Under Two Classroom Teacher Mahira has

developed a mathematical focus programme for term three,
you can view this in the under two classroom.

Over twos have had display boards attached to all

walls and a fresh coat of paint. Board of trustees have
also repurposed the O2 block shelf.

Hajj and Eid This year our children are performing Hajj at the
Eid Festival, we will have small party on Monday to share the
Eid gifts and have all children perform Hajj together at school.

Board of trustees have sourced and given over twos

two new shelfing units and a bookshelf.
