Hazards

First Aid

Extremely hazardous in case of eye

contact (irritant), of ingestion. Very
hazardous in case of skin contact
(irritant), of inhalation. Inflammation of
the eye is characterized by redness,
watering, and itching. Skin inflammation
is characterized by itching, scaling,
reddening, or, occasionally, blistering.

Eye Contact: Check for and remove any contact lenses. In case of
contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes. Cold water may be used. Get medical attention if irritation
occurs.
Skin Contact: Wash with soap and water. Cover the irritated skin
with an emollient. Get medical attention if irritation develops. Cold
water may be used.
Inhalation: If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give
artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical
attention.
Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting unless directed to do so by
medical personnel. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious
person. Loosen tight clothing such as a collar, tie, belt or waistband.
Get medical attention if symptoms appear.
Eyes: Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes,
occasionally lifting the upper and lower lids until no evidence of
chemical remains. Get medical aid at once. Do NOT allow victim to
rub or keep eyes closed.
Skin: Get medical aid. Immediately flush skin with plenty of soap and
water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing
and shoes.
Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting. Give conscious victim 2-4 cupfuls
of milk or water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious
person. Get medical aid at once.
Inhalation: Get medical aid at once. Move victim to fresh air
immediately. Give artificial respiration if necessary. If breathing is
difficult, give oxygen.

Eye: May cause irreversible eye injury.

Vapor or mist may cause irritation and
severe burns. Contact with liquid is
corrosive to the eyes and causes severe
burns.
Skin: May cause severe burns and
ulceration.
Ingestion: Causes severe digestive tract
burns with abdominal pain, vomiting,
and possible death. May cause corrosion
and permanent tissue destruction of the
esophagus and digestive tract.
Inhalation: Causes severe irritation of
upper respiratory tract with coughing,
burns, breathing difficulty, and possible
coma. May cause pulmonary edema and
severe respiratory disturbances.
Chronic: Prolonged or repeated skin
contact may cause dermatitis. Chronic
exposure may cause dental erosion.
Very hazardous in case of skin contact
(irritant), of ingestion, of inhalation.
Hazardous in case of skin contact
(corrosive), of eye contact (irritant). The
amount of tissue damage depends on
length of contact. Eye contact can result in
corneal damage or blindness. Skin contact
can produce inflammation and blistering.

Eye Contact: Check for and remove any contact lenses. In case of
contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes. Cold water may be used. Get medical attention if irritation
occurs.
Skin Contact: Wash with soap and water. Cover the irritated skin
with an emollient. Get medical attention if irritation develops. Cold
water may be used.

Inhalation of dust will produce irritation to

gastro-intestinal or respiratory tract,
characterized by burning, sneezing and
coughing. Severe over-exposure can
produce lung damage, choking,
unconsciousness or death.
