Thepositionrequirestheindividualtobeabletothriveinaflexible,internationallyfocusedand
selfmotivatedenvironmentwithinayoungnonprofitorganization.Youmustbeabletoplan,executeand
continuouslyimproveyourworkindependentlyand/orinclosecollaborationwithcolleagues,asappropriate.
ALIGHTiscomposedofateamofdedicatedprofessionalswhoarepassionateabouttheorganizations
missionandlendexpertisefromtheirrespectivedisciplinestosupportasystemicresponsetohuman
trafficking.

TheSocialMediaInternreportstotheDirectorofMarketing,andisresponsibleformanagingthe
organizationssocialmediaandwebpresence.Thispositionincludesresearching,creatingandregularly
postingcontentonallsocialmediachannels(Facebook,LinkedIn,Google+,Twitter)anddrivingsupport
throughengagementanddiscussionswithourconstituentsandfollowers.Theindividualinthispositionwill
helpforgenewrelationshipstobuildALIGHTsvisibility,impactandfinancialresources.

Thispositionservesasakeymemberofthemarketingteam.AllALIGHTteammembersdrive,encourage
andmotivateotherteammembers
.Membersoftheteamarealsoresponsibleforrepresentingthe
organizationsworkwithexternalconstituentsintheantitraffickingfieldandinternationalcommunityaswell
asteammembersonaplatformofexperienceandwithauthority,aswellastobeabletospeaktothemany

Researchandbepreparedtodiscussbestpracticesfromcontentanalysisforsocialmediainthe
humantraffickingfield.Proposespecificrecommendationsforthefollowingplatforms:Facebook,

Researchbestpracticesofotherhumantraffickingorganizations'socialmediaefforts.
Identifysensitiveareasandhowothersavoidcommonmistakesandmisrepresentations
associatedwithpresentinghumantraffickingonline.
Identifykeyinfluencers(bothorganizationsandindividuals)inthefield.
Researchanddevelopcontentthatfocuseson
Legalandadvocacydimensionofantihumantraffickingefforts(e.g.,casesand
proceedings)
Internationalhumantraffickingissuesandpatterns
Collaborationstakingplaceacrossorganizationsandboundaries(includingwherethereare
gapsincollaborations)
