FINDINGS:

The present study then proves that family structure is not a significant factor. It is
safe to say that regardless of what a family structure an individual is from, rate of
pregnancy for minors is still higher than the non-pregnancy rate. This only proves
that child development is influenced by factors like guidance, companion,
environment, values, belief, culture and such. In factors of family influence All of the
protective factors are highly influential while risk factors are moderately influential.
Trusting family has the mean of 3.54 on the protective and 3.06 on the other hand.
These finding involving parents trust issues must have increased emphasis to every
teenagers to protect them to early pregnancy. Open communication for protective
factors has the mean of 3.48 and 3.20 on the risk factors. Communication to
parents may delay the initiation of early sex. Mean of 3.48 and 2.82 in common
religion. In some research studies, the effects of religion are weak on teenagers
sexual behavior. Early sex communication to a child should be seen as a guide only
and not as a means to encourage the children to engage in sexual activities at an
early age, with this factor it has a mean of 3.45 while 2.82 for risk factor. Lastly, the
quality time for family has the lowest mean of 3.28 for protective factor while 3.05
on the risk factor table, comparing this two it shows that having the time for the
child makes them feel love and attached to their family can deferred them in
immediate pregnancy. From the result, the calculated value is reflecting a negligible
correlation between the status of the respondents (pregnant and non-pregnant) and
the family protective factors. Since teenage pregnancy is already a consequence
and is never a decision, it has a weak correlation with the family protective factors.
With respect to the Table 2, teenage pregnancy is dependent on the family
protective factors but it does not necessary mean that they are correlated with each
other.
Comparing the calculated value to the tabular value, it shows that there is no
significant difference on the preferences between the pregnant and non-pregnant
teenagers on the family protective factors. Since teenage pregnancy is an effect,
the preferences of the pregnant teenagers are based on the consequences of their
predicament. For the non-pregnant teenagers, they based their preferences ideally
since they are not in the situation. Idealism is a philosophical approach that has its
central tenet that ideas are the only true reality, the only thing worth knowing. In a
search for truth, beauty, and justice that is enduring and everlasting, the focus is on
conscious reasoning in the mind. (Plato, 400BC) For experientialists, also known as
pragmatists, only those things that are experienced or observed are real. They
believe that reality is constantly changing and that we learn best through applying
our experiences and thoughts to problems, as they arise. (Pierce, 1914)

CONCLUSION
Regardless of what family structure is, pregnancy and non-pregnancy, we can say
that the family plays the major factor. Teenage pregnancy has become a growing
concern nowadays and hence it has become imperative to look into the various
causes of pregnancy and non pregnancy in order to deal with this issue carefully.
It can help a great deal in addressing this issue effectively and eventually reducing
the cases of teenage pregnancies. As we all know, teenage pregnancies also create
a host of other problems like incomplete education, unemployment, poverty, social
embarrassment and numerous other emotional traumas. Furthermore, early
motherhood also affects the psychological development of the child adversely. For
the majority of women, teen pregnancy significantly diminishes their chances of any
happy ending. It affects everyone you know. Your friends will either support or call
you names for getting pregnant. You won't be able to hang out with them and you'll
end up growing apart. It affects your family because they'll probably have to take
care of the mom and baby not only financially but emotionally. It can strain
relationships and ruin them. But it affects teenager the most!
On the other hand, It was also the family who can help the teen avoid early
pregnancy. As stated they have constantly remind their daughter not to engage in
sexual activity until after marriage. And there are also daughters who are looking for
a father figure
The bottom line here is, family plays an important and major role in pregnancy
issue. Teenagers are more likely to get pregnant if they have limited or no guidance
from their parents. Which can lead to possible results of misinformation and can
also possible lead to teenage pregnancy.
In the conclusion of the family influence between protective and risk factors in
family is to enable the relationship of children to their family can protect them in
early engagement in sex. Knowing the factors can lead every parents to be more
aware of how would they handle their child in every situation. It is essential for
parents to understand that developing a good relationship with their children will
have a stronger influence on them, and their children will value their opinion about
sexual health. Teenagers do value their parents opinions, and will normally do the
right thing if parents communicate clearly and consistently about what is right. One
factor that will control how teenagers respond to what their parents tell them is the
parents approach. Parents must remember that times have changed since their
peers were teenagers, thus they cannot use real life examples all the time. They
must also understand that time has changed and things are different in the modern
generation.

Recommendation:
Since family structure is one of the major factors, family plays an important
role in teenage pregnancy. Parents should guide their children in decision making
and support them in any aspect of their lives. They should be presence in any
situations of their childs life. Parents also should explain to their child the
consequences of their decisions. Presence of parents guidance will help the
teenager to avoid teenage pregnancy.
In the communities it can implement youth programs or initiatives that may
increase youths involvement and can implement programs to help youth better
understand their religious values about sexuality such as service learning that
connects meaningful community service with academic learning, civic responsibility,
and personal growth. It enables young people to study community issues in-depth,
plan and initiate community action, and make a difference in their community.
Youth development focuses on providing young people with skills that will help them
succeed as adults. One of the most promising approaches to reducing teenage
pregnancy is to improve educational and career opportunities for teens and to instill
a belief in a successful future, another possible solution to the teenage pregnancy
issue is to have parents become more involved in the lives of their children to gain
their trust. When teenagers feel that they have great communication with their
parents, they are more willing to say no to peer pressure and things they know are
wrong. Being involved in numerous activities will also limit the risk of unwanted
behaviors.
