10+ Tools for eTwinning 10

Happy birthday, eTwinning!

BECLEAN
2015

ISBN 978-973-0-19215-5

Argument:
eTwinning is the place where I
had the chance to become a better
teacher.
I
was
given
the
opportunity to learn, to grow, to
share and enjoy being part of this
community.
All the resources and apps I
use are because of eTwinning. In
learning labs, webinars and
projects, I discovered that I can
make my teaching and learning
more effective, using these
resources.
This is why, on eTwinning`s
th
10
anniversary, I decided to
celebrate eTwinning by making a
collection of the most appreciated
resources among eTwinners.

1. Padlet (https://padlet.com/)
One of the best apps I found and used in my eTwinning projects is Padlet
Advantages:
It is free;
Allows collaboration;
Every content is visible by every student/teacher (transparency);
It gives you the possibility to edit your post, but you cannot change
what others have written there (only if you are the Administrator of the
Padlet);
It is easy to share (everyone who has the link can edit);
You do not need to create an account to post on a Padlet (this is why
my students adore Padlet);
Here is an example:

2. Photopeach (http://photopeach.com)
The combination of images, music and text helps
students learn about presentation, expression, writing,

(https://prezi.com)

Prezi is an online presentation tool that allows you to design your own

canvas, arranging your text and images in any way you like. Prezi lets you
choose the order and amount in which each element will be zoomed into,
creating a unique story-telling experience. More information here.

13. Smore(beautiful flyers online)

https://www.smore.com/
Smore is a service for quickly creating great-looking
webpages. Smore markets itself as a service for
creating online flyers, but it's a little bit more than that.
To me "flyer" implies that you're creating a single-use
PDF and posting it online. Smore's flyers are dynamic
and changeable, they're not single-use PDFs. Your
Smore flyers can include many types of media
including videos. Deleting or adding elements to your
Smore flyer is as simple as dragging and dropping
them on or off your page.
Example of smore in eTwinning.

(just a click). Easy to use, you
just have to register.

15. Google Docs

Google Drive is a great tool for
collaboration. You can create surveys
(like the one here), documents,
presentations. What is amazing about
Google Drive is the fact that work is
saved automaticly and you can see
what modifications have been made
to the document by all partners.
More, you can have it with you
wherever
you
have
Internet
connection.

outcomes,
descriptions.

short videos on different
topics, using your pictures.

20. Skype
Since eTwining is all about
collaboration between schools, teachers
and students, the best way to plan or
run projects is having a chat or
discussion with collegues. I think that
students need to know each other as a
group, in order to work better on the
project. Therefore, Skype is a good
tool to use.

23

21. Linoit (www.linoit.com)

It is a wall, similar to Padlet, where students can post their messages (text, image,
