EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The training program of any firm is a very essential part of the functioning of the firm. The
training of any organisation reflects the style and manner in which the top management of a
company operates. Employees nowadays essentially consider a firms training and work
environment before choosing it as its workplace. The efficiency of the workforce is directly
in link with the culture of the firm.
My research project deals with the training of two giant Japanese Companies Toyota &
Honda. In this project I have studied the training and development of the two large companies
and how the training affects the working of the organisation.
The first section of the report starts with a brief introduction on training, its objectives,
evaluation, methods of training and types of techniques. Then comes into the picture the first
company, Honda.
I have included the company profile and also the history of the company. The first section
also includes the training programs of Honda. While compiling the chapters of this project, I
enhanced my knowledge on the working of the company and also about the importance of the
training programs in an employees work-life.
The second section deals with the training programs and sessions of Toyota, another old and
highly reputed company in Japan. In this section, I have also included a chapter on the
changes brought about in the culture through the years and also the future plans for the
betterment of the organisation.
The project ends with a brief conclusion on the chapters studied under the companies Honda
& Toyota
