Examination, Registration and Licensure details is all described in Article III.
Section thirteen (13) to twenty-six (26) is mainly about people seeking licensure to
be a Professional Electronics Engineer, Electronics Engineer and Electronics
Technician must comply with the requirements stated in this article in order to be
eligible to undertake the exam, pass the minimum required rating of 70% to be duly
licensed and the proceeding formalities afterwards. Technicalities with issuance of
ID, the annual update of the roster of Professional Electronics Engineer, Electronics
Engineer and Electronics Technician in the country can also be found under this
article.
With sections twenty-seven (27) to thirty (30) is Article IV or the Practice of
Professional Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Electronics
Technician. This articles states that a person who is not licensed must not claim any
title and practice the said title. The prohibitions and limitations of the three
practices aforementioned before is also stated. Each PECE must obtain and use
his/her own seal of design approved by the Board in each project that he/she will
take part of. The code of ethics and code of technical standards of practices is to be
observed.
Article V with sections thirty-one (31) to thirty-four (34) is more on
miscellaneous provisions hence, the title Sundry Provisions. It contains details about
Continuing Professional Education, Integrated and Accredited Professional
Organization, Foreign Reciprocity and that all existing practitioners of the proposed
profession in the whole country, be it a private or public organization, shall be
accordingly filled by registered and licensed Professional Electronics Engineers,
Electronics Engineers or Electronics Technicians within three years from the
effectivity of this act.
Article 6 or rather titled Penal Provision and Assistance of Law Enforcement
Agencies contains sections thirty-five (35) to thirty-six (36). Malpractices in the
PECE, ECE and ECT profession are enumerated here and its corresponding fine.
Article VII contains sections thirty-seven (37) to thirty-eight (38). It is about
Transitory provisions and that the ECEs holding a valid Certificate of Registration
and Professional Identification Card prior to the effectivity of the act is therefore
automatically registered and recognized as Electronics Engineers.
Lastly, the Article VIII or the Final Provision. It contains sections thirty-nine
(39) to forty-two (42). It states the start of effectivity of its implemented rules and
regulations, the appropriations, the separabilty clause and the repealing clause for
RA 5734.
