If you think your phone is generating excessive heat while charging: It is normal for
smartphones to generate heat while charging.
Your phone provides overheating protection for its circuits, helping ensure that the heat
will not damage the battery or shorten its life span.
Issue 01 (2014-02-158)
If your phone generates excessive heat while you are playing games: When you play
games, your phone CPU runs at high speeds, which generates a lot of heat. This is
normal. Huawei phones have all passed safety tests in this regard. Heat generated during
normal use will not pose any safety risks.
It is recommended that you close background applications not in use while you are
playing games. Do not play games while your phone is charging.
If your phone generates excessive heat when you are using data services: How much heat
your phone generates when you are using data services depends on the signal reception.
If the reception is poor, your phone may generate excessive heat.
It is recommended that you move your phone to a place with good reception to use data
services. Do not run too many network applications simultaneously to avoid abrupt
increases of data traffic and heat generated by your phone. Do not surf the Internet in
places with poor reception.
If your phone generates excessive heat during calls: Make calls in places with good
reception. Using a headset may also be helpful.
Back up important data, such as your contacts, messages, and call log before updating.
Online update: Before the update, make sure your phone has Internet access.
Go to the Settings screen, touch About phone > System update > Online update, and
follow the onscreen instructions.

Download the update package for your phone model from http://consumer.huawei.com
and re-apply the update. For details, see the update guide for the update package.
It is recommended that you connect your phone to a charger before updating your phone.
Insufficient battery power will result in update failure.
If you are updating your phone using a microSD card, do not remove or insert the
microSD card during the update.
If the update still fails, restart your phone or back up important data and restore your phone to
its factory settings.
If the problem persists, contact Huawei technical support or take your phone to an authorized
Huawei service center.
After you obtain the root access, your phone may not be able to provide the optimal
performance, and some functions may not work properly. As third-party firmware is not
adequately tested and may not be compatible with your phone, your phone may be vulnerable
to viruses.
Unlocking your phone may bring unexpected negative effects.
Huawei authorized service centers can handle software and hardware faults resulting from
reformatting, but charges may apply.
