promote marriage and be more compassionate to divorced persons. Pray for them!

320 Holy Hours were kept with Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration last week. "To
converse with You, O King of glory, no third person is needed; You are always ready in
the Sacrament of the Altar to give audience to all. All who desire You always find You
there, and converse with You face to face."~St. Teresa of Avila . For questions

The Charismatic Prayer Group will meet in the rectory on Sundays at 6:30pm. All
are encouraged to attend, reservations are not necessary.

unborn, sick and elderly this month. Consider adopting a private Holy Hour
dedicated to the Life issues! St. John Paul II, St. Mother Theresa of Calcutta,
Venerable Bishop Fulton Sheen, and Servant of God Rev. John A. Hardon, S.J. all
champions of the unborn advocated Eucharistic Adoration as a means of ending the
abortion holocaust in America. The annual Rosary Rally in honor of Our Lady of
Fatima, for the reparation of the sin of abortion will be held on Saturday, October
10, 2015 at the Gazebo at Lake Ann at 12:00PM. Public recitation of the Rosary is
an especially effective weapon in battling evil. St. Augustine Culture of Life
participated in the National Life Chain held on October 3.
In addition to the
Spiritual Adoption Program we also hold a Holy Hour for Life on the First Friday of
every month at 11:00 AM preceding the 12:05 Mass, following Mass is an
opportunity to join in prayerful witnessing in front of the Akron abortion clinic.
Every Wednesday from 1:00-2:00PM we hold a Holy Hour for Religious Freedom
featuring the Patriotic Rosary on behalf of America. Culture of Life holds its
meetings the first Tuesday of every month following the 5:15 Mass and benediction,
all are invited to participate and share your prayers and ideas. Fliers for the Rosary
Rally are at the back of the church at the Life Table. For more information call Lynn

The St. Augustine Animal Blessing will be held today Sunday, October 4 at
12:30pm in the parking lot. All are welcome to bring their pets for this
special blessing! Bring your cats, dogs, turtles, fish, hamsters, birds, cows,
horses, and chickens, whatever your pet may be. In case of rain, the
blessing will be moved to the SAC. This event is sponsored by the fourth grade
students in the school and PSR programs.

1PM, on Monday October 5. Come and share friendship and refreshments.
BLANKET SUNDAY COVERS MANY NEEDS Next weekend is Blanket
Sunday, sponsored by the Diocesan St. Vincent de Paul Society. When you
make a donation, your money will go even further through bulk purchases
of blankets and other items for the homeless and poor individuals in our
own metropolitan area. To make a donation, envelopes will be provided at
the ends of the pew or log onto www.svdpcle.org. Thank you in advance for your
donations.
BIOETHICS AND END OF LIFE ISSUES SERIES: Join Walsh University, Queen of
Heaven Parish. And Mercy Development Foundation/Kolp Ethics Fund for a Lecture
Series with Fr. Tad Pacholczyk Ph. D. Fr. Tad is the Director of Education for The
National Catholic Bioethics Center. The lecture series will be held at Queen of
Heaven Parish in Uniontown on October 13 at 7:00 p.m. and at Walsh University on
October 14 at 7:00 p.m. Fr. Tad will be speaking on Bioethics, End of Life and Health
Care Ethics Note these are 2 different talks. Registration is required, contact Molly

The next VIRTUS training will be Saturday, October 17, from 9:00-12:00 noon in the
St. Augustine School Cafeteria. If you are going to be 18 years of age and are
interested in volunteering at St. Augustine School, coaching CYO sports or working
with children in any capacity, you must attend a training session. To register, please

in the near future, One requirement is that the parents attend a Pre-Baptism Class.
The next class will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 7:00pm at Immaculate

GENERATIONS OF FAITH Know the Faith; Live the Faith SYMBOLON Join members of Immaculate
Conception for Symbolon; the topic for November 5 is Divine Revelation. Sessions begin at 7:00pm, doors open at
6:30 with coffee and snacks being served in Waldeisen Hall, there is a $5.00 fee to attend. For more information,

The next round of Euchre will be Friday, November 6 beginning at 6:30pm in
the school cafeteria.
Players of all ages are welcome to attend. Come and
enjoy an evening out with fellow parishioners.
Loyola Retreat House (700 Killinger Road, Clinton) will sponsor a Grief Support Retreat,
December 9 & 10. The two evening retreat will be directed by Deacon Robin Adair and will
include dinner each day. Please arrive at 5:30pm, dinner will be served at 6:00pm. To register,

St. Augustine Life Teen youth group meets every Sunday from 6:15-8:00pm. in St.
Augustine School room #101. All teens in high school are invited to join us. This
semester we will be focusing on the Person of Christ.
The Edge youth group for middle school students (grades 6-8) meets every
Wednesday from 7:00-8:30pm. in St. Augustine School room #101. Come join us for
an awesome time! This semester our theme is prayer, so come and learn more
while having fun doing it! Friends are always welcome.

Community Corner

Barberton Area Community Ministries item for the Month of October is Cereal.

Thank you again for all your support in helping us serve our brothers and sisters in need. All
donations can be placed in the bench in front of the giving tree in the vestibule of the church. Donations
are picked up on Monday mornings.

the second and fourth Mondays of the month beginning at 7:30pm, rosary is said at
7:15pm.

St. Augustine Holy Hour cards are available at the rectory for $1.00 each. Cards
make wonderful gifts for those who are celebrating birthdays, anniversaries,
retirements etc. Stop by the rectory to pick up a few to have on hand for that
special occasion.

In the Community.
Join members of Prince of Peace Church, 1263 Shannon Avenue in Norton
for the Ethnic Rosary on Saturday, October 10 beginning at 4:15pm.
Please join in praying a decade of the Rosary in Slovenian, Polish,
Hungarian, Slovak and English. Following the Rosary will be a 5:00pm Polka Mass.
All are welcome!
St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church is having its annual Luncheon Card
Party on Sunday, October 25 at 1:00pm. The proceeds raised from this
fund-raiser will help support the many activities and projects of the Altar
Guild Society. See the flier on the bulletin board in the back of the church
for more details.
Christmas Craft Fair at Mary Queen of Peace on November 1 from 9:30am until
12:30pm. Begin your Christmas shopping by selecting from a variety of
handmade crafts and other products for sale including knit and crocheted
