personissubjectedtogifttaxasincomeunderothersources.Thereareexemptionslikemoney
receivedfromrelativesisnottaxable.Marriagegiftsandmoneyreceivedthroughinheritanceare
alsoexemptfromgifttax.Inheritancetaxwasearlierinpracticebuthasbeenrepealedbythe
government.
