Green Certified Building in India

In Tamil Nadu, the government is planning to build solar-powered

green houses for rural poor. It has allotted Rs.1,080 crore for
construction of 60,000 houses.
In New Delhi, Green One in Chittaranjan Park became the first
individual home to register for a green building rating from TERI in
June 2011, ultimately becoming the pilot project for SVAGRIHA,
TERI's adaptation of the GRIHA system for small homes. In January
2014, Green One became the first individual home in India to get a
green rating, earning a five-star SVAGRIHA rating from TERI.
In Maharashtra, near Mumbai in the Thane District, Govardhan Eco
Village, a community in India, has built buildings with compressed
stabilized Earth blocks, Rammed Earth Technique, Cob
Houses(ADOBE Bricks) with traditional thatched roofs. These
buildings have received a five-star rating from GRIHA, an Indian
Nationwide Green Standards for Buildings, a wing of the famous
TERI.

One of the worlds largest economic centers is currently being built in

Riyadh the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD).

With six platforms over four public floors and two levels of underground car
parking, the KAFD Metro Station will be integrated within the urban context of the
financial district, while responding to the functional requirements for a multimodal
transport centre and the districts future vision. The project extends beyond the
simple station typology to emphasize the buildings importance as a dynamic,
multi-functional public space; not only an intermediate place perceived through
quick transitions, but also a dramatic public space for the city. LEED Gold
certification. The KAFD is expected to be completed in 2015.
