EDUCATION - The Major Problem in Pakistan.

(Abdul Moiz Siddiqui, Karachi)

Conclusion:
Education is major problem of Pakistan. Funds allocated for
education are very low. Women literacy rates almost half of men
literacy rate. This problem creates economic and overpopulation
diseases.
Premise.1: Pakistan emerged on the world map on 14th August,
1947. Since then she has faced a number of problems on her way
to progress. All of these issues are major and are badly effecting
our society.(This is weak premise because he did not focus on
education.)
Premise.2: Funds allocated for education are very low and are only
1.5-2% of GDP where as in comparison to developed nations it
should be around 7-8% of total GDP. (This is strong premise, it
shown reality and comparison to the developed nation).
Premise.3: This is evident upon examination of Pakistan's overall
literacy rate of 37.8% (50% for men and 24.4% for women).
Literacy being defined as those over 15 who can read and write.
(It is strong premise because it has exact figures and shown
reality).
Premise.4:
Further more, the extremely low literacy rate among Pakistani
women (24.4%) lends itself to a society where most women never
enter the labor force, creating less incentives for them to limit the
size of their the greatest loss comes in the area of education.
Whether or not this is a direct result of Pakistan's economic
problems, it is undoubtedly connected with so many resources
directed towards the aforementioned debt payment, educational
improvements are given and inordinately low priority.(This is
strong premise which is emphasizing us that women should make
Pakistan strong economically by after getting education).

Premise.5:
Secondary,a poor educated populace makes Pakistan a poor
choice for the foreign investors that it so families. This is best
illustrated by the fact that only 38 million of Pakistan's 141 million
people make up the entire labor force.(That is lightly weak
premise because today, terrorism is big factor for foreign
investors to investment Pakistan).
Premise.6:
In term of population, low literacy rates are often observed
with high population growth. A poorly educated population is
unlikely to participate in family planning or any other form of
population control.(This is very strong premise because over
population is the result of low stander of education in over in our
society).

Perhaps desperately needs. Further more, the extremely low
literacy rate among Pakistani women (24.4%) lends itself to a
society where most women never enter the labor force, creating
less incentives for them to limit the size of their the greatest loss
comes in the area of education. Whether or not this is a direct
result of Pakistan's economic problems,it is undoubtedly
connected with so many resources directed towards the
aforementioned debt payment,educational improvements are
given and inordinately low priority. In addition, Musharraf's military
dictatorship has understandably not placed great emphasis on
education in Pakistan. This is evident upon examination of
Pakistan's overall literacy rate of 37.8% (50% for men and 24.4%
for women). Literacy being defined as those over 15 who can read

There are certain inadequacies and flaws in the system which
needs amendments. Funds allocated for education are very low
and are only 1.5-2% of GDP where as in comparison to developed
nations it should be around 7-8% of total GDP. It is a neglected
fact that Pakistan is more often named among the most
prominent states affected by gender discrimination. There is a
growing need to promote technical education. Quality teaching
needs a special attention; untrained teachers are doing more
harm than good.
