moreeffectivecommunitysystemthatsupportsthehealthandlearningofallourchildren.Thiscollaboration'sthreestrategiesprovidethenecessary
ingredientsforcollectiveimpact:family/youthengagement,informationsharing,andqualitycollaborativerelationships.Asweexaminetheneedsofour
community,wecanbegintothenchampiontruesystematicchangebytacklingglaringdisparities:
Nearly50percentofhouseholdsinEagleCountyearnlessthantheselfsufficiencystandard:336percentoftheFederalPovertyLevel(FPL).Halfof
familiesintheVailValleymaketoolittletomakeendsmeet,buttoomuchtoqualifyforassistance.
NearlyhalfofthechildreninEagleCountyhaveforeignbornparents,andtwothirdsofthosefamiliesliveinpoverty.
Morethan60percentofstudentsinEagleCountyqualifyforFreeandReducedLunchatfouroutoffiveelementaryschools.Continue Reading

EarlyChildhoodPartners(ECP)isacommunitybasednonprofitorganizationfoundedin2006.Overtheyears,ECPhasevolvedfromourinitialaimto
qualityimprovementinitiativestonowincludeservicesforparentsandprofessionalsusingatwogenerationapproach.Ourspecialistsarehighlytrained
professionalsthatimpactfamilies,children,andchildcareprovidersinEagleCountythroughavarietyofevidencebasedprograms,includingtheIncre
parentingseries,IYTeacherClassroomManagementtrainingseries,andthechildren'scurriculum,IYDinosaurSchool.Additionally,ECPprovidessup
bothchildcareprovidersandparentswhenachildisexhibitingasuspecteddevelopmentaldelay,and/orpersistentchallengingbehavior.EarlyChildhoo
towardsasingle,paramountgoaltoimprovethequalityofearlychildhoodexperiencesforchildrenandfamiliesinEagleCounty.

InordertofurtherthetwogenerationmodelofsupportthatECPstronglybelievesin,EarlyChildhoodPartnersiscurrentlyrecruitingparticipantsforth
LeadershipTrainingInstitute(FLTI)whichwasstartedinEagleCounty3yearsago.Instudiesspanning30years,FLTIdemonstratedefficacybuilding
engagementwithpositiveresultsrelatedtochilddevelopment,health,wellbeing,andfamilymobility.FLTIutilizesanevidencebased
curriculumtobuildparticipant'sknowledgeofchilddevelopment,leadership,andcivics.TheFLTI
curriculumconsistsof20(4hour)sessionsthatalsofeatureanintensiveretreat,DayAtTheCapitol,and
completionofacommunityleadershipproject.FLTIalumniisactivelyengagedinnewFLTIsessions,
withthemajoritycontinuingwiththeircivicprojects,resultinginaPyramideffectofchange.
ApplicationsarenowbeingtakenforthenextsessionofFLTI.Twentyfiveparticipantswillbechosenthroughaselectiveprocesswhichincludesan
applicationandinterview.The2016sessionwillbeginonJanuary9thinEdwards.Moreinformationandtheonlineapplicationcanbefoundat
