I have worked in Occupational Rehabilitation for over six years and participated in the 4+2 pathway program during this time. My scope of

I acted as Robert's Team Leader for the duration of his employment with Rehab Management
(18 months). I worked him daily and provided regular formal and informal supervision regarding
all aspects of service including case management, report writing, employer engagement, and

I consider that Robert's communication and interpersonal skills would exceed any university

level requirement to complete postgraduate coursework.

From observing both directly and passively with Robert, and when receiving feedback from

case managers with whom he worked, I would suggest his interpersonal skills are indeed a
strength. Though I would qualify this is the context of a natural ability to successfully engage

with clients and co-workers, not to be confused with a strong knowledge of the application of
clinical methodology in a treatment setting.

With reference
to professional
abilities, Robert has good problem solving and critical evaluation

skills. He is a largely pragmatic, patient, and calm person, which I believe lends him well to a
clinical
environment. Robert was able to develop rapport
with an array of clients, no matter their

reason for referral.

Robert's degree of honesty and ethics were consistently in line with the expectations and
standards of our industry and company expectations. He has worked with vulnerable

populations in a fair and compassionate manner.

I consider research / ongoing professional development as core aspects of professional

abilities. I have observed Robert deliver professional development training, to psychology team
members to a sound standard. I believe his professional development in regards to the
theroetical and methodological underpinnings of practice require development, though I note
this was not a requirement of his employment.

Robert was a particularly responsible and reliable individual. His even manner and good

humour was an asset to our team. I observed Robert maintain a consistent adherence to
company values and ethical standards, including positive interaction with all team members.

Robert worked well above the expected standard in his interactions with clients, treating
providers and external stakeholders. He appeared to develop a strong rapport with these
groups easily. As indicated above, I consider Robert to have excellent communication and
interpersonal skills.

The scope of Robert's duties required little in the form of formal leadership responsibilities,
though he consistently contributed to supervision sessions and proved a good informal mentor
to new team members. Robert's clinical skills and theoretical knowledge require further
development. Robert has good prioritisation skills, though on occasion I note he delivered
reports beyond service timeframes.
