Note: If a digital input is left floating, reading a non-inverting digital input will
return logic high due to an internal weak pull-up (~100 kohm). For extremely
long wire, an external strong pull-up (1 kohm) may be required to compensate
for the voltage drop across the wire.
Note: Use an external pull-down if the digital input I/O line is configured to read a
switch to battery.
Note: Ensure the output impedance of the analog voltage source is <1 kohm
Note: The analog inputs are measured with respect to the terminal ground. Using a
short terminal power supply and ground wire connection is recommended as
any voltage drop on the ground reference affects the accuracy of the analog
input. The voltage drop is most pronounced during the transmission as the
current draw is largest at that time.

Serial Interfaces
Note: RS485 I/O module transceiver devices may go into thermal shut-down in the
event of a major short circuit condition. The transceiver device will re-enable
once the fault is cleared and the devices temperature drops by 15C.

DMR-800D C1D2 with RS485 I/O module supports the Modbus RTU protocol.
RS485 I/O module transceiver devices may go into thermal shut-down in the event of
a major short circuit condition. The transceiver device will re-enable once the fault is
cleared and the devices temperature drops by 15C.
RS232 Interface

On power-up, the state of the digital output is undefined until the terminal self-check
sequence is complete. If the DMR-800s transceiver chip has a disabled transmitter,
this will prevent the DMR from transmitting on the RS232 Tx user data port.
When a voltage greater than 0.5 V, for at least 0.1 second, is present on the RS232
Rx Data input port, this generates an external interrupt. Refer to [T8] for information
on power management modes.
