wastemanagementincludingchemicalswastemanagement,solidwastemanagement,Toxicand
Hazardouswastemanagement,Industrialandcommercialwastemanagement.
Allgroupstopicsfortheprojectneedstobedifferentwithrespecttodifferenttypesofindustrial
wastemanagement.ClassCRisrequiredtocompilethesetopicsalongwithaonepagesynopsisand
submitbySundaySeptember13,2015.

The final report has to be prepared and submitted in the format of a Case Study encompassing
the areas mentioned here under the heading of Contents.

Ground Rules must follow these rules before submission

The entire report needs to be in your own language and no plagiarism should be found. If
more than 20% plagiarism is found then you will straight away be given zero marks
in your project report.
The entire report must be in the range of 20-30 pages.
The Final Report format as mentioned in the heading Contents is not sacrosanct. It is
subject to change depending on the sector specific requirements that need to be
incorporated and highlighted. Please use Summer Project Guidelines as Style Manual for
writing the report (A4 size, Times New Roman, 11 font, single spacing).
Grading of the report will be done on the strength of the analysis and explanation therein.
No graphs, which is basically a reproduction of the data provided, are to be included as
part of the report.
Please incorporate diagrams wherever possible and label them clearly.
Please follow the guidelines of the summer project in terms of report submission.

Case Study

Preference should be given to the case study format for your project related to the
strategic decision making process of any company of your choice. This shall consist of a
6-8 page (A4 size, Times New Roman, 11 font, single spacing) case on one or more issues
related to business dilemma due to uncertainty of anyone Indian player in the Sector under
study. The case should clearly highlight the imperatives driving the uncertainty and dilemma
due to that, model and suggestions to deal with uncertainty and benefits envisaged and
methodology followed.

Presentation all students should be in formals

The presentation should cover the problem in hand, data and information available
and solution proposed. .
Each presentation will be of 15 minutes with 10 minutes given to the group to
highlight the key findings and 5 minutes for open discussion with the students.

Project Report Submission Process VERY IMPORTANT


1. The submissions have to be made by the CRs for the entire class.
2. The groups have to make a folder and name it in the format group no_name of the topic
and submit to their CRs.
3. In that folder, there will be 2 sub-folders of headings: Main project and Supporting
materials.
4. In the Main project folder, attach the word file of your report. Make sure you do not
submit your report in pdf format.
5. The reference made in the report shall be in the Harvard business style and should include
details about the books, journals, papers that are referred by you.
6. The literature review shall be in the paragraph form within the report.
7. While writing the literature review, if you have referred to some journal or paper to
formulate your write up, do remember to mention the name of the author in the body of the
write up and then make a proper reference with the author name, journal title, abstract, date,
volume, page no etc in the Reference section.
8. All the tables should be in the appendix included at the end of the report and attached in
the main project sub-folder.
9. No data tables should be in the body of the report.

10. Only the analysis table should be included in the body of the report along with your
interpretation of the result and your analysis of the data.
11. In the appendix, include a table in the format mentioned below, to specify about the
research papers that you have referred to formulate your literature write up.

The references that you will be mentioning in the above table should also be mentioned in the
reference document of your report (minimum 20 references needs to be mentioned here).
12. In the Supporting Material folder , attach two base/theme papers that you have referred
for your project report, the pdf files of the papers, excel sheets, newspaper articles, Excel
files, the data collected and calculated.
13. In separate word file, list the terminologies used in your report and attach this in the
supporting material folder.
14. The softcopy of the references has to be attached in the supporting material folder.
15. Please note that there is no need to submit the hardcopy of the supporting materials folder
and it has to be submitted only in the softcopy form.
